Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy cat had soft stools for a few days and the vet has recommended to take this for a few days. Be aware this is the Advanced version, not the standard one, which is supposed to work better. Cats stool got firmer quickly after!

Cat don’t really like the taste but would eat it if I mix it with snacks

Our cat will actually lick it off my fingers! It’s chicken flavour apparently. This is the first time he’s ever willingly taken this medication for diarrhoea without a struggle. After 3 days his deposits are firming up.

Recommended by a friend and for a good reason! This was great in calming my cats sensitive stomach, one star off as the cat does not seem to like the taste so had to get creative and stuff it into treats.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersInitially was given/recommended by a vet as my two boys can have bouts of the runs from time to time (ironically when they see a vet for a check up or simply for small changes/visitors to the home) they wouldn’t take it with their food or an enticing churro so I find it easier to give directly into the mouth followed by treats. It takes a day or two for it to take effect but works brilliantly each time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis product actually helped my cats health. After using the paste for 3 days I started seeing improvements. I was able to mix the paste in with wet food. This is ideal as trying to open his mouth stressed him. It is a little pricey but it works.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy cat had an upset stomach so I got this. After 3 doses, he was fine. The only problem is he absolutely hates the taste of it. It’s all very well saying to mix it with food but a smart cat will just refuse the food and guilt trip you into giving him food without it. So, yeah, getting it into him wasn’t fun and I’ll try a different brand next time because he hated it so much.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis product is great in aiding better tummy health for my cats. I do not use it constantly, but recognise when my cat needs a little bit of help. It works well and they lap it up when given. Would recommend highly if your kid is struggling with an upset tummy.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis wasn’t very appealing to our 2 Burmese cats. So we has to layer it with one of their favourite liquid treats. But……after 2 days it did help to bind up there upset tummies and liquid stools. Highly recommend although we will probably try the powder in case that helps more

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI first gave this to my cat when our vet prescribed it, only twice as expensive.. so I started ordering it on Amazon, so much cheaper.
We use it whenever our cat has diarhea just as an addition to the food.
Please note that you shouldn’t use this more than 3 days in a row as written on the packaging.

‘I was very sceptical at first but I thought it’s cheaper than the vet. So here we go. Our cat was not keen so I mixed it with a likelix then my husband put some on his finger and she ate it, we got most of it down her, a small amount was wasted, it seems to have worked after several days. I thought it was pricey but seems to have worked so well worth trying

Golden Review Award: 69 From Our UsersMy rescue kitty that I’ve had for 2 weeks has suffered with disgusting diarrhea that absolutely stinks to high heaven. He is longhaired so it’s also making him miserable because it’s getting stuck on his fur. I hate having to keep cleaning him back there. Plus his belly must be achy, bloated and in pain. I had to act quickly….

I’d been to the vet and he mentioned Purina Fortiflora but that is really expensive and alot of powder. So I gave this Advanced Pro-Kolin a chance. Make sure you buy the one meant for cats.
After 2 days, 2ml in the morning and evening meal. His poop is now formed and not runny, sorry tmi. Although I’m still holding out hope that in a few days it’ll stop stinking as bad.

It’s an easy paste to give him. I just use a teaspoon of wet food and mix this in. He gobbles it all up no problem. I noticed he tasted it, stopped for a second, then just kept eating. Phew. Being a paste is way easier than powder imo because it’s easy to hide in wet food or Webbox licks. Another reason I chose this and not Fortiflora.

You get 15ml. Plenty enough to settle their sensitive little bellies. I think any longer, if it’s still not better or gets worse again. I’ll have to go back to the vet.
I was skeptical and a little worried about buying OTC stuff, but I’m surprised how well it’s working already.
Fingers crossed it gets rid of the highly disgusting stench next!
I know your furbaby means everything to you and you may be worried, but it’s definitely worth a try. There’s nothing in it that’ll hurt the kitty. It’s highly recommended on every site you search for it.

UPDATE: Used all 15ml. When he uses the litter tray. I no longer smell it straight away. No more diarrhea. Happy Cat , happy cat Mum. Hoping it lasts without using it, if not it’s back to the vet for Theodore!

Hope your baby feels better soon!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I was skeptical, but it works!!!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our Users17 year old cat always eating things she shouldn’t eat fridge raiders chicken with garlic and onion on. She was really poorly lethargic, sick and diarrhoea which had blood in . I quickly researched products to relieve it while waiting to get her to the vets. Saw the positive reviews and ordered, came the following morning and I started her on it twice a day mixed in with her fave likke lix. She took it and within 2 days she was brighter and stools firmer and back to her loving fun self. Life saver for a little cat who does not like the vets ..rang and they said don’t bring her unless she doesn’t continue to stay well. Totally back to normal now. Brilliant cat produc

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersMy cat has recently been diagnosed with an over active thyroid and has to take thyronorm which causes him to have diarrhea when he passes wind, I started give him pro kolin and it has done the trick! No more nasty surprises he is also less flatulent since taking this. He is quite a fussy cat and would not take it at first but I found if I mixed it with a sachet of webbox Lick-E-Lix he licked it up in seconds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic produc

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersFirst time trying this and finally find what works to help my cat when she gets the runs. On reading the reviews, I’m a bit shocked that people are attempting to use the huge syringe straight into a cats mouth especially when its feeling unwell! All you have to do is mix it with somthing with a strong smell like tuna in spring water and your cat with eat it no problem. Don’t put your cat in even more discomfort by forcing its mouth open with a huge syring.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersDue to unknown reasons my indoor only kitty had an upset tummy, was recommended this by the vet but purchased via amazon as it was much cheaper.
It did take 2 full tubes to get her poops back to normal but it did work!
I did have to hide the paste in treats as my kitty wasn’t a fan of the taste.

The paste is an odd brown/grey colour and quite runny which made hiding it in treats very easy.
I was advised by the vet if no improvement after 2 tubes she would need to be seen but thankfully everything cleared up.

I was also advised to use for a further 1-2 days after things went back to normal to ensure full recovery!

Would definitely recommended keep a tube in the cupboard incase it’s ever needed and the great thing is even open it lasts 2 years!

Given 4 stars due to kitty not liking the taste

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersMy cat Stevie Nicks keeps going into the garden and coming back in licking her lips leaving me wondering what she has been eating – and also leaving me worried. The last time she did this about three months ago, it left me with a costly vet bill as they had to give her antibiotics and other meds alongside prebiotics.
This time around, I bought Pro-Kolin advanced. For the first two days, I saw no tangible improvement, then on the third day her poop started to harden and now a weeks later, it seems to have worked.
I bought another tube should this happen again. It is always good to have this as a standby for your cat – or dog.
I will add though, that if your cat or dog has diarrhoea and has stopped eating then a greater intervention then Pro-kolin will be needed – that is a vet visit. I will also add that my cat does not like the taste of this. When I take it out of the box to administer it, she takes off. There is little point me trying to disguise it in her food, she would simply not eat her food as she realises this has been added to it. I simply administer it straight into her mouth and then give her a little bit of Gimcat vitamin paste straight afterwards to mask the taste!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy cat was so poorly and had an upset stomach to the point she wouldn’t eat. I took her to the vet who then gave me anti biotic and paste to calm the tummy, she started eating again but she still had an upset stomach so I tried this at first she didn’t like it but it worked so good with LICK-E-LIX and she ate it straight away I would recommend pumping out the recommended dose a little at a time on the LICK-E-LIX’s treats and mix it it worked wonders! Although it did take some time she got used to the texture and taste . Within 2 days her stomach settled! It saved so much money with vet bills I would recommend!

Really helped with my cat, the product must have a funny smell as my car tried to run away from it when I put it near him and he tried to bury his food when I mixed it with his wet food. Quick tip, if your cat is fussy and refused to eat it either put it on the back of their paws or like I had to with my cat squirt it in his side so he comes it off and actually eats it. Definitely worked though

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersA day after intravenous antibiotics administration my 15 years old cat got diarrhea, so bad that his anus swell and started leaking stool wherever his sat that led to washing machine after washing machine. I administered pro Kolin Advanced by injecting the material into syringe and from syringe i sat him on my lap his back facing me and I squeezed 2 ml in followed by purina gastro food at 4 pm and then again at 7 pm. He continued leaking but around 5 – 6 am next day ie after 14 hours after the first administration his stool changed from watery to mash potato – which is a significant improvement, he stopped leaking and his anus is no longer swollen and red. He is starting to heal. However, I am prime member I needed it desperately and I had to call amazon 3x to make sure that it at least arrives not 4 days later but 2 days later which is not acceptable, medicine especially medicine for diarrhea and other acute issues should arrive ASAP! Thank you.

Day 2 and 3 on Pro Kolin 2 – 3 daily completely stopped diarrhea and leaking
Day 4 no administration of Pro Kolin, still on antibiotics, leaking returned after 20 hours of last dose. Evident need to continue with this whilst on antibiotics.
