Just beware of you have a small area on your dash for this as it is a lot bigger than i thought it would be and might not be the best fit for small cars. It’s around the size of one of those miniature cans of pop/soda which really took me aback at first however once you see how long the leads are in the thing you understand why it is big and its really not an issue now.
I have used this for around a month now and it seems to be holding up just fine. Charges great and has saved me a few times now on the way into work after forgetting to charge my phone at night.
Love the design of this unit especially as my car comes with a cigarette lighter in a tight spot meaning traditional connectors, if they are straight, it will get in the way of my gear knob when changing gears.
This bends back and forth and delivers great power to charge my phone on fast charge (galaxy 21fe). No issues so far. Does the job!
I’m forever swapping cable sin and out of the car receptacles to match whatever device that needs charging at the moment. Which means I also need various cables. Often, I need to charge more than one at a time for me and for car guests, and to power my Tom Tom. This clever device has four potential charging portals. I haven’t tried to use all four at once, just two at a time, but that worked great.
There are two retractable cables: one with Apple Lightning and one with USB c FOR FAST-CHARGING. This covers most of my devices. The standard USB and USB C slots will take the cables I supply. The head is really wide and the neck pivots to help give a usable position. That flexibility was important for me. This is bulky, I kid you not. It takes up a lot of room. Since it plugs into a cigarette lighter, it probably won’t work for many newer cars.
The first thing you notice about this retractable car charger is just how chunky it is. For that reason, I have knocked off a star from a 5-star review. However, 4 stars is perfectly reasonable. I have tested this in my Kia Sportage car, and I have charged both my iPhone 15 Pro and my iPhone 12. Charging times are very good considering that it uses just the car battery. It feels solidly built, and therefore I can imagine it will be fine being thrown in the glovebox when not in use. Other than the size, this is worthy of a recommendation.
