Reyka Vodka, 70cl – From Iceland’s Glaciers to Your Glass
Traditionally distilled & filtered through ancient arctic lava rocks using arctic spring water, the purest in the world
Reyka Vodka comes from Iceland and uses the finest ingredients from the land. The most important ingredient for vodka is water, being made with the purest Icelandic spring water, this makes Reyka one of the best vodka’s in the world.
Iceland is a land of massive glaciers and subterranean volcanoes. Its home to fields of lava rock and towering waterfalls of spring water, It’s a place unlike anywhere.
Reyka Vodka is literally Made of Iceland. Our water comes from an arctic spring that runs through a 4,000-year-old lava field.
It’s some of the purest in the world. And pure water makes good vodka.
Reyka is distilled in one of the few Carter-Head stills in the world, its high copper level gives Reyka unparalleled smoothness from a single distillation.
Iceland is full of lava rocks. We use them to filter our vodka, giving it a crisp, clean taste.
Reyka is distilled in Borgarnes, Iceland, a coastal village surrounded by rich natural resources.
Distilled in small batches to ensure exceptional quality, each distillation takes about 6 hours and makes only 255 cases. By Vodka standards, that’s tiny.
The Reyka Vodka distillery is powered by geothermal energy from underground volcanoes, not only is this a natural source of energy, it’s fun to talk about at cocktail parties.

I bought this one night and in the morning when I was no longer thirsty I cancelled it, but the cancellation didn’t go through and I was charged for it and it was delivered. So I started the returns procedure explaining what I did. However, this product doesn’t have a returns procedure. They have a refund procedure. So I got to keep it and got the money refunded. Which of course was amazing and what is even more amazing was when I opened the corked bottle and tasted what was inside it, It is indeed a very special vodka. And it is now going to be a regular fixture in my empty liquor cabinet. Because I found it just as good as the Russian standard premium one with all Russian writing. I always like to have a premium vodka and the two that I have found to be the best are the Russian standard edition which is the expensive one with all Russian writing, (I can’t remember off the top of my head what it’s specifically called) but it’s very good and the Beluga export both of which cost around about 40. This stuff is half the price, although it might have been on special and had the same peppery flavour that you get from the Beluga and was a match for it in quality. I love it. This will be the vodka I buy from now on, not just because of the price. But if you ever look into the company that makes it, you can’t help but like them. The promotional video is hilarious and I’m a big fan of the Nordic people in general and I love the dry sense of humour of the Icelandic folk, and I love the way that they use their local environment to produce such a high-grade vodka Which I’d previously never heard of. Buy it.
Bought as a birthday gift for my son. Smooth with no bitterness. Great for drinking neat or with your preferred mixer. Best vodka I’ve ever tried so will be buying my own, it’s that good.
Bought this vodka as I had bought some in Iceland on holiday previously.
Very clean tasting vodka and gave this to my niece who was happy with it.
Well worth the price and great cold as a shot or mixed with orange or cranberry juice.
Vodka, most people think, is just flavourless alcohol that you mix with things. If however you only ever drink it chilled and neat, you will like this one. Very smooth, lovely depth of flavour, all in all very drinkable. I not only would buy this again, i already have!
Bought as a gift for my son in law he loves this vodka and was only able to source from Amazon it was delivered within 3 days and very well packaged would buy this agai
Incredibly smooth and the price on Amazon was cheaper than else where. It’s great value! Good vodka can be very difficult to find in the UK, especially for a reasonable price.
If Vodka is your drink of choice, then try this! It is a game changer.
Definitely one of the smoothest vodka’s on the market.
My new favourite, cracking value when on offer, serve direct from the freezer neat or over ice, you will so enjoy Reeeykaa!
Beats other more premium and more expensive ones hands down.
After using Absolut in Martinis for a while, I wondered if there’d be a noticeable difference with a pricier vodka. Mixed 75ml of Reyka in with a couple of dashes of orange bitters and 15ml of Noilly Prat and served it Ice cold with a twist of lemon. I’m no expert but I was very impressed with the crisp flavour and it went down very smoothly for such a spirit heavy drink. Haven’t tried it neat but I would bet it’s lovely served straight from the freezer. Nothing wrong with Absolut but this does seem like a step up in quality.
A really brilliant and great tasting premium spirit – alone or for cocktails!
Reyka Vodka has unexpectedly becomes a firm favourite after a chance buy. I’ve since said goodbye to Grey Goose, Kettle One etc. And passed on to friends as gifts too.
It’s made from grain in Carter head stills, filtered by volcanic rock and from a renewable energy distillery.
Nice marketing from William Grant & Sons NY. I say yes to the beards and parrots thing
Very smooth, very tasteful. Got another bottle on the way! It’s a bit hotter than grey goose if you were to sip it neat off ice, but mixed even slightly you can tell the difference straight away between Reyka and a brand like Smirnoff. I’ve had a couple skinfulls with it so far and woken up without a hangover!
Highly recommended
I discovered this Vodka in Iceland… (funny that) & thought it tasted so clean & fresh!
Delighted I can get it delivered to my door!
I am a committed GREY GOOSE GAL, but I think this I better. And I don’t say that lightly,
Someone tell Smirnoff it’s time to raise their game!
An exceptional, incredibly smooth vodka. If your only experience with vodka is with Smirnoff or something further down the ladder of quality – some off-licence under a tenner rocket fuel jobbie named after Rasputin, prepare to have you eyes opened.
This stuff tastes of nothing. Literally nothing. You can tell there is alcohol in it, but there’s absolutely no burn, aniseed sharpness or smell of paint thinner that you get from that cheap supermarket stuff.
I say cheap – it’s twice the price of Russian Standard but half the price of Grey Goose. You don’t need to spend 50 to get good vodka. This does just fine.
Back in the 1970s Stolichnaya was my top vodka – pretty exotic in the era of the Cold War. Its ‘oily’ (smooth) mouthfeel made Stolly easy to drink with just a couple of cubes of ice. This one is well up to that standard … and it comes from Iceland, which makes it a bit special. It’s ‘small batch’ distilled, although that depends on what you mean by ‘small’ and ‘batch’. I am not a major league vodka drinker these days but I can tell you that this is another vodka you can drink easily on its own with just a couple of ice cubes. I tried adding soda water, but that was not a good experience. If you prefer to add something with flavour, such as tonic water or a cordial, then buy a cheaper brand: those extra flavours will mask the quality of this excellent vodka.
I used to buy Icelandic vodka at Asda’s many years ago,it was the best vodka by a country mile, and then they stopped selling it.I was not happy but for some reason didn’t think to look online for it until now.I can’t be sure this is the same vodka but its not far away from what I remember it is smooth and a gentle vodka much more to my taste buds than others I have tried.I had a shot of it neat and it was good then I added some Fever -tree tonic and it was really lush.I am very glad to have bought this and think its well worth the money for
a very high end vodka.
Starting from last Christmas I went on a bit of a premium vodka binge which I attribute to watching too much Mad Men and certainly having more money than sense for a period. I had bottles of Crystal Skull, Chase Marmalade, Wyborowa Exquisite and Reyka. They all come with their individual bells, whistles and gimmicks. Fancy bottles, award winning credentials, unusual flavors, the reputation of the distillers. I tried and liked them all but unfortunately I spent a lot of money looking because for whatever reason I tried Reyka last.
I stopped looking for other vodka’s after my first bottle of Reyka.
If sipping vodka neat or on the rocks is what you’re after then you can pay a lot more than you will for this but you certainly won’t find a better vodka. It is remarkably smooth, no burn to it at all but it does give a wonderful warmth as it goes down. It tastes crisp and unlike almost any Vodka I’ve tasted.
The other bottles may have cost more and been in fancier bottles (not that the classic, simple design of Reyka’s bottle doesn’t have its appeal) but this was by far the superior taste, drink and product. That isn’t to decry the other three brands I tried but rather an endorsement of how good Reyka is that it can top that sort of competition. 26 delivered is a bargain for drink this good. You won’t find it cheaper anywhere else on the net, its a godsend that Amazon themselves stock it (usually, I’ve seen it go to “3-4 weeks” before now, possibly because Reyka don’t actually release that much of it, that depends on how much you believe a “small batch” vodka means). It’s a decent conversation piece, it’s not a vodka most people will have seen or heard of before, a step above the boutique stuff and a step below the big names (Goose, Belvedere, Crystal Skull) in terms of brand recognition.
Now I plan to always have a bottle on hand for those nights when you want to sit back and take your time with a drink and really enjoy it.
