These blew me away I can’t lie. Absolutely ridiculous quality for that price. Would recommend them to anyone.
Bass is great, doesn’t go super sub but it will play loud and not crack
I needed a second pair of studio style speakers from my study (2 desks, 2 monitors, 4 computers),
One of the setups has Edifier studio speakers (Very impressed) and I wanted to upgrade from the 2.1 Logitech speakers that the other setup had, for something that sounded and looked better.
These were on a discount and I am very happy with them, sound quality is neutral and you can really hear the instruments and vocals when listening to music, watching videos they sound great too.
They look very good too
The sound quality is INSANE. They were just for my pc set up but decided to move them downstairs to use and even playing music very loudly they don’t lose the quality
Overall all I love these speakers, they are lound, looks good and work reliably. However, it would be good if these was an option to turn off the lights on the speakers. I use these in my room and the lights feel very bright, especially at night.
The sound quality is bit lower than my expectation, specially the bass tones are too dry, don’t have any depth and no sustain. But may be this was not expected from this price range. And specially with 3″ speaker you should not expect much bass sound quality. In overall, it is good value for its price.
Brought these as I wanted speakers for my pc, thought at this price I may as well get Studio monitors.
These are nice and heavy and good quality, I have the bass slightly turned down as they are a little too much for the little alcove where my pc sits, They sound great through, Bluetooth which Is easy to set up, My only downside to this Is If you want to use bluetooth you can’t have the 3.5mm or usb connection connected I believe.
Haven’t tried them with Rocksmith game yet to check there Is no Lag ( which was the main reason for purchase)
But Overall these are perfect for moderate sound for a pc.
Great little speaker’s very easy and quick set up and connection, comes with a USB cable and an audio cable so 3 different ways to connect them.. I only used Bluetooth so far, the connection was very quick, and easy to follow instructions in the little booklet that it comes with.. the sound is extremely good for these small speakers. Nice controls for volume, bass and treble. Feel very well made. I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the speakers.. can highly recommend them for PC which was my main reason for the purchase.
Fantastic sound from these good looking speakers. In fact the performance is nothing short of miraculous. Huge tonal range, lovely rich sound, easy to use and adjust and set up took seconds. Amazing value for money. I strongly recommend them.
I brought these speakers just as a temporary upgrade until my new pioneer decks arrive and I of course, get upgraded larger speakers.
As someone’s who DJ’ed for 10+ years and a creative (photographer & videographer) I can 100% vouch for these speakers. Not only did I assume they’d have low bass (they have excellent bass range) but I completely underestimated how great these are. They’re actually a perfect fit for a desk too, as some larger speakers need a setup or stands etc.
As you can hear from the video I’ve showed, there is great high and mid range (the first song) and great bass range (the second song I cut in to show bass frequencies). I also listened to them on movie streaming such as Netflix on action based series, to see if you can hear all the SFX ranges. From my tests I found that it has very good clarity and crispy sound throughout the range. Yes, when you whack the bass completely up and max the volume it’ll get a bit distorted, but that’s the same with nearly EVERY-single speaker. Don’t let other reviews mislead you in saying things about distortion, they are just keyboard warriors!
I would advise on getting the stands, they will help disperse the sound better and cause less friction wherever they sit. Plus, they can be mounted with stands, so it gives you flexibility. I’d like to add that the build quality is pretty decent for the price range, they look sleek, the UI is well throught through and easy to use.
Another thing I would say I was impressed with, is the Bluetooth. I know from my years in the music industry and training people all over the UK for Samsung TV/AV dept, that Bluetooth isn’t the best for DJing wirelessly because of latency. I can 100% vouch by playing some songs wirelessly that the sound is INSTANT! No delay or latency. Which I found incredible for such a small cost. Overall, very impressive speakers that I’d recommend to nearly everyone who wants a decent setup for their desk, their music and even for content creation.
If these guys make a lager speaker in future, I believe they could dominate the market place with these speakers!
PS: I was not paid to do this positive review, I’m a genuine paying customer who’s genuinely very impressed with this speakers
These are most definitely 5-star speakers for the price. I bought them simply to use with my PC, but since they arrived I have been pairing them with Bluetooth all around the house. In addition to the connections that I was expecting, there is also an optical socket, which will pair with my hi-fi. A nice bonus.
The sound quality is extremely good for their size, and the Bluetooth range is exceptional. The remote control works well, and will control tracks playing on my mobile phone. The two modes are a neat option. Hi-fi mode for playing music, and PC mode for sound from the computer. As you can tell, I am very pleasantly surprised.
Needed an app to switch left and right and might be a slight ticking noise when bass is large but it could be just me apart from that they are very very very good great build quality and all that good produc
These speakers are quite attractive on a desk, with their rounded corners and matt white slightly textured vinyl surface, they appear to be modelled on the popular but more significantly more expensive Kanto YU2 or AudioEngine A2+ speakers. The build quality is good for this price but not outstanding, and I found it annoying that the manufacturer needed to put the slightly ugly Sanyun badge on the front as it dates them and detracts from the otherwise minimalist appearance. There are treble and bass controls on the side but I didn’t notice much difference between the highest and lowest settings. The volume control is smooth.
It’s great that you get bluetooth connectivity at this price as well as USB and 3.5mm connections. However, on bluetooth I noticed occasional little popping noises when the speaker was not playing anything, not sure what causes those. It’s not a big deal really but it was noticeable.
As for the sound quality, it was a definite upgrade versus the built in speakers on my macbook pro 2020. It was quite pleasant to listen to at low and higher volumes and you certainly get the stereo effect, although they do not have a strong bass, which is common for all of these kind of speakers. That might be a blessing if you have neighbours to consider but not so good if you want super-immersive gaming or to host a rave in your bedroom. The case looks like it has a little tweeter but that isn’t real, just for decoration, you just have the 3 inch drivers at the bottom.
I wasn’t fully satisfied with the sound and remortgaged my house to order the more premium AudioEngine A2+s to compare, after reading a lot of reviews. Though not expecting a big difference (I’m no audiophile and thought it might just be paying extra for a brand) it was night and day when comparing them – the Sanyuns sound suddenly seemed flat and somewhat muffled, lacking in depth of sound and punch across the spectrum from low to high frequencies.
If you are someone who wants that premium sound you will likely be disappointed with the Sanyuns, but think they’re an decent option if you’re looking for something on a budget to upgrade your setup versus built in speakers.
Overall, these little speakers do a decent job. I would say sound quality is better than average for multimedia speakers in this class.
The cabinets are quite solid, so bass response is satisfactory, particularly if the bass boost is set to maximum. They are not going to shake your walls or annoy your neighbors, but even electronic music styles with prominent low end are represented well and are pleasant to listen to, with little noticable distortion.
However, one disappointment with these are that the tweeters at the top of the cabinets are fake and don’t actually produce any sound. The low-end drivers do a passable job at representing high frequencies, but they do sound a bit muffled and lack sparkle. Setting the treble boost to maximum makes a modest difference, but not enough to bring out a full spectrum of frequencies.
If the tweeters were actually real, these would be excellent little bookshelf speakers. But without them, they are only really slightly above average.
Great quality audio and they get pretty loud too. Not perfect by any means, certainly lacking in some frequencies so not for audiophiles, but compared to the speakers I had before these they’re amazing. Visually they look great too, fit right in on my desk, but they have some kind of coating or outer layer that makes them feel like they’re made of plastic, just a nitpick.
if you look up the make and model on YouTube there’s some decent reviews if you want to hear them before actually hearing them.
So, I wasn’t looking for anything particularly high quality when I bought these speakers, I just wanted a halfway decent set of bluetooth speakers to go in my hobby room so I can listen to some music or podcasts while I’m painting (ones I won’t feel bad about eventually covering with airbrush overspray)…. so my expectations were pretty low. A 60 set of speakers from a chinese company I’ve never heard of? At the very least they had to be better than the single 20 bluetooth speaker I’ve been using for the last year or two, right?
However, taking them out of the box, I was impressed by how high quality they felt. They’re nice and heavy, the fit and finish is good quality, even the controls are nice and smooth and positive. The added connectivity was also a huge bonus. I paired it to my tablet with absolutely no issues and had no drop-outs. Connecting to my PC via USB, it detected it as an audio device and just worked with no driver downloads or messing about….and of course, the aux cable is an aux cable, plug and go.
As for sound quality, well, like I said, my expectations were low. These are cheap , sub 100 Chinese speakers. These aren’t high-quality hi-fi audio equipment… but I was genuinely impressed by how good the sound quality actually is. They’re not going to blow your socks off, but they’re very, very decent. I think the best word to describe the sound quality is ‘competent’. These speakers don’t excel in anything, but they don’t fail at anything either. A lot of cheap speakers tend to go for powerful bass (missing the point that ‘powerful’ bass isn’t the same as ‘good’ bass), especially when it’s bass at the expense of everything else…and you end up with boomy speakers where everything sounds muddy and boxy. These have none of those problems. They have decent bass, are clear through the entire range, they’re loud enough to fill a room, but still sound good at quieter volumes, with no noticeable distortion at louder volumes.
In short, if you’re looking for speakers to use as monitors for audio production, or something to use with a multi-thousand dollar audio system… these aren’t for you. If you’re looking for a very good set of PC speakers, or an upgrade for your TV’s built in speakers, or just something to listen to spotify while still getting good quality audio with two-speaker stereo seperation, these are perfect. I’ve spent much more on way worse speakers
This is my initial review. I went for the Sanyun SW206 80W Dual-Mode Bookshelf Speakers. These boast 2 functions, HiFi and Monitor Mode (for music production). I haven’t tested them as monitors yet (I will in future, and for the price of 110 on offer I couldn’t pass up the extra functionality). I am reviewing these as I haven’t seen a single review anywhere on the internet.
Set up was straightforward. I rigged them up by Aux and Optical to my PC. Both functioned as they should, with no background noise. I have defaulted to Optical so I can keep the aux cable free for headphone use.
The handy remote handles input changes, volume, track skipping and play/pause and controls Bluetooth and pairing. Great!
In HiFi mode they have me pleasantly surprised. Listening to music, the speakers have a nice range, with plenty of bass.
Note that a little EQ fiddling is definitely required. I noticed immidiately that the left speaker was slightly imbalanced/ louder. I therefore pushed the main volume to the right ever so slightly using my msi motherboard sound settings which fixed the issue. The vocals needed rolled off in the mix, as they were a little sharp/ overpowering and the treble pushed to make hihat, snares, cymbals etc. clearer. So I pushed the bass, lowered the mids and pushed the higher frequencies (you can just about see the EQ I settled on in the pic). Of course, EQ is all personal taste when listening to music.
Once the EQ was sorted for Music I tried out some gaming. They sounded great, but I needed to mess with the bass and treble on the actual unit to get the most out of the experience – no biggie as they’re in arms reach.
So in summary, they’re not as good as some of the more expensive gear out there. Audiophiles beware! BUT with some EQ fiddling, troubleshooting balance and messing with the on board controls depending on use, they are more than good enough for PC speakers. I would recommend them!
