Fitting
Unlock and carefully remove end cap.
Open clamp mechanism using allen key.
Slide on to bar. Position bars onto vehicle. Optimum spacing 700 mm. Centralise bars.
Tighten onto vehicle and replace end caps.
Check fitment is secure before using.

Overall I was happy with these roof bars and they was fairly easy to install, however I found the keys for the end caps a bit fiddly to use and I had to wiggle the keys in the locks to get the end caps on and off and once the end caps were off the metal parts underneath were quite sharp

Considering the price these are fantastic. Are they perfect? No.
But at a fraction of the cost of others. Brilliant.
Slight noise when travelling at speed. But you can turn up the music and smile knowing you’ve saved a small fortune. Also. Easy to remove when not in use.
Four keys included that all fit all locks so handy if you accidentally misplace some. Though there is a knack to getting the locks off easily as they are a little fiddly.
Fitting the bars is super easy and can be done by one person.
There is nothing to dislike, it takes a while to fit to the vehicle, this ensures that it fits correctly. When fitted it is sturdy and well manufactured. I have used it to transport two kayaks over long distances without any problems. I’m very happy with my purchase.
Very sturdy roof rails, the winding mechanism could do with being a bit more of a tighter fit within the rails inside but once tightened up even a large 600+L roof box stayed on with no issues at high speeds.
I found them easy to fit, sturdy, and securely fix a large roof box for a 700 mile round trip. I have seen a review where one of the brackets which attach to the roof rails had split. Mine did bend as they tightened, so I guess you just need to be careful and don’t over tighten. Otherwise very pleased !
Great values for money, the locking end caps are thin plastic and could be easilly be removed if anyone really wanted to steal the bars. My biggest concern is the roof rail fixings are all plastic, over time they will become brittle, crack and render the bar useless. Not sure if replacements can be purchased.
The pictures of the product and the fitting video show different fitting positions so could be confusing to some.
Wind noise is horrendous when you reach 50-55mph (Ear splitting, whistling).
I wasn’t paying 100 for a “deflector”, so I removed the string from a JD sports drawstring bag, and wrapped it round the front bar to interrupt the wind flow.
RESULT!!!.no wind noise at all now.
I took it out of the box, all parts were there. the bars feel like made of a low to medium quality aluminum.
I went for my Chevrolet Captiva for a fit test.
tried to open the locks, 2 opened easily, 2 wouldn’t open. fiddled a bit and found out that you need to push and pull the cap a bit, until you find the right spot for the lock to open. once you get this in mind, its pretty easy to lock and unlock.
started to build a shed, so went to buy 2″X4″. loaded 10 boards 5.5 meters long.
this was way too heavy for the roof bars, you can see in the picture that the front one, which had most of the load, bend quite a lot, but it survived the 15 minutes drive home and went back to its original shape when unloaded the logs.
fitting the bars is a bit of a pain to do with the included wrench. so I got out the cordless drill and a long Signet 5mm hex and this made fitting the bars very simple and fast. for final tightening I still use the supplied wrench.
over all, worth its money, but only for light load.
Pretty good for budget racks, only thing that lets them down for me is the locking caps don’t line up with the locking mechanism very easily and has bent around the rack where the lock, locks into. Also the keys are very sticky in the locks don’t know if this is a design floor or a bad set but seem alright not sure how much longer they will last me as I need to take these on and off the van quite abit.. time will tell
These roof bars are easy to fit and don’t require a protracted assemble process accompanied by virtually incomprehensible “instructions”.
They stayed tight to my roof rails after a 350 mile motorway/ dual carriageway journey with plenty of weight on them with a wind catching load at the legal speed limit.
The only thing I don’t like about them is the fiddly cheap and unnecessary locks at the end of the bars which stick half open or closed. Who would steal roof bars?
Also they were delivered by Hermes with all wrapping missing and one set of keys absent by a driver who plonked the resultant torn and opened mess of manufactures packaging in my hands and disappeared as fast as he could without obtaining a signature from me or receiving my opinion of him!
