wow love this little critter, I am now able to put in and out the car and go out by myself, and I’ve named her Molly
Would definitely recommend, thank you
This little trike is perfect for my needs. ,it comes with two batteries ,you can store one under the seat ,easy to change if needed ,the wheels are solid so no punctures. ,it comes with charger and leads ,a bag that goes on front handle bar ,very handy ,it is controlled by your thumb ,just put in drive and go ,it has a reverse button as well ,it has good brakes ,and a comfortable seat ,it folds up to go in boot ,or just lower the seat and handle bar down ,depending how big your boot is , it has two fold out peddles to put your feet on ,perfect for what I need , it is well made , but I still have to get used to it ,as it can go pretty quick , the price s worth it , should have had one years ago ,the turning circle is very good as it’s only one wheel at front ,so it’s nippy round corners ,just have to be gentle on the button ,just charge the batteries up before you go out plenty of time to get where you need to go and back. ,light up on handle bar to let you know how much battery left ,great little thing .
This is one of the best car scooters I have had . I am quite disabled and needed something that wasn’t to heavy to lift into boot of the car .It is very easy to manuver and has a good turn on it . So pleased with it , it’s fantastic
Excellent little scooter. I’ve been needing something like this for a while but they are usually very big and heavy even if they are meant to be folded. After a friend encouraged me to get one I was delighted to find this little Super Handy Scooter.
It is light weight and can fold quite small in two pieces. However it can fit into most cars without folding but you might need to remove the seat and lower the handle bar for small boots.
I tried this out in the Supermarket and was delighted as I have not been able to do a full shopping for years. Unfortunately it is a bit awkward to carry shopping but worked out a large net bag on the handle works best for me. Basket on my lap worked but it was uncomfortable. The little basket in front is also handy but not really big enough for super market shopping.
I love how compact the scooter is despite being a bit large I felt safe to ride this in the stores and outdoors. It felt perfect as I’m used to bikes and the frame fits attachments designed for bikes. Reversing and turning in stores was easy and not cumbersome as the larger scooters.
I was pleasantly surprised at how long the batteries last. I spent several hours testing it out when I first got it. After shopping, riding it around on pavements and around in the park trying slopes and inclines ect. I think it took around 5 hours for one battery to run out. Since their are two batteries I think this is perfect for days out.
The small wheels mean that it is not ideal on rough terrain and uneven surfaces. If using outdoors it would be a bit difficult for people who could not stand or take a few steps because getting off and on pavements in places without dropped curbs would require getting off and pushing it on or off curb. I found that I shifted my body weight like you do on a bike when pavements felt uneven. I did not experience tipping over or feel uncomfortable but assumed there would be a problem after reading reviews.
I would recommend this scooter if you need a light weight folding scooter even if you are not lightweight. The seat could be a bit more comfortable but other than it’s perfect.
I luv this because it is not heavy, and it fits in the boot so easy,it’s powerful but u need to use the brakes going downhill, abit more security would be better on it I use a bike lock and remove the battery, I give it 9/10
Ordered on behalf of my mum who needed a folding scooter for traveling my car & lightweight ticks all those boxes.Looks great & can fit a good few items in front baske
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I tried other so called lightweight scooters and this beat them all in every respect. I’m not good at lifting but I can put this in my car boot without even folding it – just lift the seat off first and in it goes. It’s so easy to operate and control. Batteries can be changed very easily and having two is good so less chance of running out of juice and recharging is fast and easy. They say 6.5 miles on one battery but that depends on the weight of the rider, terrain, wind, etc. so expect a variation on their claims. I get about an hour per battery and weigh about 100 kg. It climbs slopes without problem. It’s quite stable as long as you treat it with respect and don’t try anything silly. Getting around shops is so easy with its tight turning circle. Its speed is easily controlled with one thumb. It’s a really great disability aid that does its job really well. Its design and build quality is first class. It has to be a ‘best buy’ not one thing I don’t like about it.. now here’s the but!!!
This scooter falls into the the Class 2 category and those with a disability who are eligible to make an HMRC declaration can buy free of vat. I purchased mine on 7 February 2023 and it was delivered on 9 February 2023 and I’m still waiting for my refund. The normal way in the UK is for the retailer to sell vat free on production of a completed HMRC declaration form but Amazon make you pay the vat then you have to claim it back. Very odd and very S. L. O. W. I think Amazon should explain their reasons for working contrary to HMRC’s explanation of how the vat exemption works. If you have bought one and are able to complete the HMRC declaration form then Amazon owes you a refund of the vat if you haven’t already claimed.
Update – 12 Months later.Reliability has been 100%. Batteries are just as good as new with no charging issues. People often ask me about it and even take photos! I even get comments on how cool it looks! I take it with me on coach holidays and the company I go with are very impressed with its light weight and portability and of course it’s acceptable for air travel too.
I firmly believe it’s the best on the market for lightness, sturdiness, user satisfaction, design, and most importantly, price.
It has been so good to get around on I just cannot imagine life without it.
SuperHandy it is!!!
I still find it heavy for me to get it into my car I can but with difficulty. Would be easy for the able bodied. Great customer service replaced a faulty battery and sent an extra one very quickly
Being a disabled person and a full time wheelchair user this little scooter has been a superhandy as per the title of the little thing. The scooter folds-up when not needed, the supplier included 2x batteries and there is a little caddy underneath the seat to put the spare one whilst out and about. The battery charger is about the size of a laptop charger and you can charge up the spare battery as you go i.e at a cafe etc. The only downside at the moment is the supplier doesn’t have any spare batteries for sale, which means when both batteries fade this scooter will not be able to function as intended. Lets hope the supplier can sell extra batteries for the life of the product.
This is a lovely little scooter but one of the batteries has failed and has no life at all. Please sell me a replacement. If it’s available on Amazon then let me know how I order i
The Superhandy mobility scooter ticks all the boxes: lightweight, great design, easy to handle, store and transport around. The ride is very smooth and comfortable too. This is the best mobility scooter by miles. Most disability products are awful in appearance and are so heavy – we care about aesthetics too and deserve to have lovely designed products just like escooters, cars etc. Added bonus is that it freewheels, so can be wheeled along as well as up-and-down stairs – just remove seat and battery, fold and clamp, keep handlebar upright and away you go. Well done Superhandy on making a product that makes disabled people feel more inclusive. Thank you.
I love this little scooter – it’s just bonkers enough for my backup from my power chair
The first thing is that I was waiting for the electro magnetic brakes to kick in – then I realised I was still coasting and hit the brake lol – see bonkers!!
But it’s strong as – and pretty lightweight, some hume was moaning about it being a pile of tubes – but that’s the point , as light as possible for frail peeps
The only downside is while it’s easy to strip and put in boot – you still have to strip it bit by bit
It would of been nice if it folded in one like my wheelchai
Very easy to assemble with Very good instructions. The quality is superb and having two batteries is a bonus
It’s very comfortable and very easy to fold and put in the boot of my Nissan micra.
apart from a faulty charger for which we quickly got a replacement without hassle, we love this scooter and use it to get to the local shops for milk etc. the handy bag carries 1 full 4 pint of milk a box of 12 eggs 6 bananas and a newswpaper. what more do we want? it is lightweight enough to lift into the boot of the car in case we need it for other trips ie. hospital appointments etc. the 3 wheeler might not be as stable as a 4 wheeler but as long as you stay on flat or nearly flat pavements you’ll be ok and in any case your feet are not far from the ground if you feel you need to put your foot down.
It is a great scooter. Compared to Atto it has not got that extra comfort feeling but it looks great s as no has made a difference on our holiday. The seat pin keeps falling out and I have not found a way to secure it yet. Otherwise highly recommend.
This is a well designed lightweight scooter. It’s simple to put together and easy to use. It doesn’t look like a mobility scooter so it’s good for those wanting to take the leap. It folds fairly small and should fit into most car boots without a problem. It has a spare battery under the seat and so far has done a few trips without requiring charge.
If I would change anything I would add a key function so it could be left outside as you have to lock it to a pole like a bike to secure it. I would also make it a bit taller as I feel quite low in it. I’m 5″8.
