I live on my own snd of a nervous disposition. Being elderly i needed to feel safe in my own home.. this has bern so easy to set up. The recording’s are brilliant..and very clear. It picks up sound and movement. 360 turn and upward/downward angle.. it has picked up a spider which makes me believe how sensitive it is. You can pay an annual fee or buy a storage card. I highly recommend this camera. I have one near my stairs and another pointing to my back door.

I have been waiting for a black version for a while, as soon as i got an email TP Link had released this unit i bought it, its essentially the same as the C210 white models but in black, it blends in perfectly.
keeping an eye out on your pets while at work for peace of mind it’s worth every penny.
the motion tracking works a treat, also choosing areas to notify you is just what i needed.
Now only if TP Link could sort the outdoor cameras to have a black version and i’d be sorted.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersLike knowing I have the front of house under camera. Works well just don’t expect a perfect image when zooming in. Gets distorted quickly when zooming. Adding a SD card to basket is a must. Can sub to Tapo care with adds loaded of features but the moment the trails up the camera reverts to being very basic in the app. Night vision inside house fab but if your pointing out the glass window forget about switching it on. The image is flared. I will note though day mode at night time is brilliant for my needs so no need to activate night mode in my opinion. Easy to use software and you can download video straight to phone which is brilliant. You can cut, edit and choose your download timescale. Fantastic. Would have give 5 stars if the zoom worked a little better. For the price though fantastic.

Another excellent camera from Tapo. It’s a good quality camera. I am not quite sure why the black C211 camera is more expensive than the white C210, as they both look similar.

It has less features than the updated, white, C220 camera. It would be good if there was a C220 in black as we needed a black camera to blend in with the surroundings.

The C211 only has motion, motion tracking, person and baby crying detection. It doesn’t have pet detection, whereas the C220 has loads more options.

I guess that the C211 is more for monitoring a baby and it is an older camera.

If I was to choose between the two cameras, then I would go for the C220. Just a shame that it is not in black, otherwise I would have purchased that one again.

I would still recommend this camera to anyone who would like a basic camera, to keep an eye on things.

Very happy with this camera, I love the black colour so much compared to the white model. It has a very low latency, and rotates everywhere, which makes it so much easier to adjust the perfect angle. The night vision looks very good, I bought it to monitor my 3d printer. It does have motion tracking as well which I tested and it seems to be pretty good if there is only one subject that it needs to follow.

It records continuously to the sd card, so you can see what happened at a certain time when there is motion. The quality of the camera is pretty good, however it’s not amazing like your phone camera so don’t expect the quality to look perfect, the microphone is very good and is very clear to understand. Overall it’s a great camera, and the 360 ability makes the little camera sooo much cooler, I would advise getting a micro sd card, and not buying the cloud subscription so that you can save money in the long term.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI orginally had the tapo c100 inside my window looking and worked well as long as you turn off night mode and status light for glare on window. But upgraded to tapo c211 this one is 4k and much better when i zoomed in on c100 car registrations were blurred but with this c211 can zoom in and read car registration and its upstairs from my bedroom window.
I seen a post further down where they couldn’t get it to connect to wifi and i had same problem so did a google and found out its cos on my samsung phone i have Samsung ad blocker on so i removed permissions and it connected straight away after that. So if you have problems connecting try that. I have basic Internet as well no fibre in my area and still get 4k quality sometimes a little laggy cos of basic sky Internet but still worth it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this Camera; C211, as we already have a TC70 in the house, and this appears to be the upgrade. There is also the C210 (this but white) and C220, next model up(?).

The Bad: This was specifically chosen due to the TPLink website clearly stating it has a RJ45 Port (attached picture), which the other models do not have. However, when the camera arrived there is no RJ45 Port… contacted TPLink to ask if I was missing a cover, or blanking plate, but no. The TPLink agent admitted their website was wrong. Oops!

The Good: Picture Quality is as expected, works just like any other TPLink Camera in this family of products. Signal / Picture can drop occasionally, but it’s only a meter from the Router, so might be too good a signal (proximity interference), which is why a network port was such a deal maker.
TPLink App has never given me any problems, and this was added without issues.

There are no other reviews at the time of writing, 15MAR24, so nothing available to state the missing RJ45 Port, therefore leaving this review to help the next person that comes from TP-Link(.)com until they fix their error. One other point, Amazon’s awesome customer service refunded the money for the network cable I bought at the same time without any issues. So that’s a plus.
