This is a nice octopus tripod stand who is suitable for phones and camera.

This stand has a hidden phone mount clip which makes it more convenient to carry around.

This stand is easy to place alone plus it is easy to hang around.

This Stan is useful for phone and camera but it can also used for lights, microphones etc.

This stand comes with a pouch to keep it safe during travelling.

I have used it with the phone and action camera and I’m happy with my experience.

It is blue for money product.

If you’re planning to use this with a phone or a smaller camera then this is a great little product. The legs hold pretty well and they’re fairly easy to wrap around things – they can be a bit stiff initially but that’s how these things are generally. It has a handy hidden phone holder, and comes with a nice carry case – it’s perfect to chunk into a camera bag and I can imagine it would be great for vloggers.

I tried it with my mirrorless camera with a fairly small lens on and it held pretty well – but it did feel a bit precarious. I think I may have trust issues with this style of tripod though, having had a gorillapod fail on me previously and break some equipment. I don’t know that i’d trust it with a decent payload on top, but I guess this product isn’t aimed at people who are putting a massive rig on top of it.

For the money, I’m pretty impressed with it. I’ll be using it more and more over the next few months so if anything goes wrong with it then I’ll update this review – but so far so good. Very good value.

I got this mainly to support a GoPro for placement behind a football goal, although I may also use it with a company Samsung Camera.

My first impressions were good. It feels weighty and well made. I was pleasantly surprised by just how flexible and robust the legs are. I may require to hang the GoPro on a wire fence and the flexibility of the legs will allow this to happen. The metal ball head also feels well made and this can be conveniently removed if required to allow a camera to be mounted directly onto the tripod.

I may have less use for the mobile phone holder, but regardless the design of this feature is very clever. The way it is hidden away means that it is always there if I need it and I don’t just throw it in a drawer and forget about it.

Good value for money when compared to similar products from better known brands, so recommended.

As someone who regularly uses a variety of cameras and my phone to create videos in all kinds of locations, I need to travel light and also be able to set up my camera for shooting. This TARION Octopus Tripod is ideal for providing a stable platform for my camera or phone and is lightweight and compact. Included with the tripod is a drawstring storage bag and instruction sheet.

In use the legs can be set straight and will angle much like on a regular tripod and have the advantage of being flexible enabling them to bend into various positions for added stability. The ball head has an integral phone holder which I find very useful. I have been able to attach the tripod to trees and posts by shaping the legs which have a grip moulded into them and this has enabled me to use my camera in situations where a conventional tripod would not be suitable.

Overall this tripod is in my opinion well made and sturdy with more than sufficient adjustment for my needs. I have used it with both compact and mirrorless cameras and it has performed very well. Recommended.

Been after one of these for a while. This one fits the bill on many levels.
Main pro is that is fits traditional camera shoe fitting and has expandable holder for phone. Have fitted my iPhone Pro Max 12 in its case with no problems.
As a tripod is small and portable and holds weight of digital SLR well.
The flexible arms have stability in their flexed position.
A really good product at a great price.

As a photographer and videographer, I rely heavily on my phone and DSLR camera. Traditional tripods have their limitations so a tripod like this is perfect. Not only does it provide flexibility but Its adaptability, steadiness, and robust construction give me the freedom to get camera angles and shots I simply wouldn’t be able to from a large, standard tripod. What sets this tripod apart is its extraordinary adaptability.

Its flexible legs can be twisted and contorted into any position, allowing me to capture the perfect shot from any angle. Whether I’m taking photos or filming movies, the tripod conforms to my every need, helping me achieve some interesting, cinematic angles. The tripod’s disguised phone holder with a cold shoe mount is a game-changer for content creators who use both cameras and smartphones. I can easily switch between devices and take photos from various angles.

although you don’t receive it. mount for a mobile phone, these can be brought so cheaply, it shouldn’t be a concern. Thanks to its compatibility with 1/4-inch screws, the Camera Tripod works with a wide range of camera makes and models, as well as magic arms and other accessories. Its adaptability, therefore, makes it an essential piece of gear for any photographer or videographer.

I’ve used this tripod with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and Fuji film camera, and it has always provided a firm hold that prevents my gear from jiggling around. Its lightweight and compact design makes it an excellent travel companion that I can take with me anywhere. Setting up the tripod is effortless. The tripod provides solid support with its strong build and comfortable grip, which give my camera or phone a stable platform. I can clamp the legs to poles, trees and so much more for a hands-free filming experience.

In conclusion, this tripod is an exceptional piece of equipment. Its adaptability, universal thread and widespread compatibility make it an indispensable tool for videographers, photographers, and other media professionals who seek stability, versatility, and simplicity.

Highly recommend. Hope this review helps someone out.

This is an upgrade for me from a previous bending tripod I have. The main appeal of this one? It’s got a secret hidden phone holder built in.

Overall its well made. I think the ball head could be better. The tightening mechanism is pretty standard but it does take some serious tightening to get it to feel secure. After my first use the ball itself had decoloured from orange with lots if black marks too. Fortunately the whole head can be removed leaving a 1/4 20 screw but if you do this then you also lose the killer feature which is the hidden phone holder.

Weight wise, I tried this with my A7IV and in landscape orientation it just about holds it but moving the camera go portrait mode was just too much because it places too much weight over one leg and it just bends under the weight.

Overall I like it and the convenience of having a secret phone holder making this 2 in 1 is worth the compromises on weight. Recommended

    Very clever design.
To start with it’s clever, and strong but not heavy to hold.
The heavy-duty plastic on the tripod legs is very durable, and waterproof but also very easy to grip. I think there’s definitely less chance of this one sliding out of my hand and me dropping it. This is very important when extending it out with my phone over a high drop.
    The design does not extend.
The tripod and be maneuvered into a position where it works very efficiently on uneven surfaces.
I can take videos & photos on rocks/grass/slopes and twist around signs or posts, all useful things when filming.
I would say also the quality of design & manufacture is very good.

Acquired item for review and to be used with my GoPro. The product arrived well packaged, plus comes with it’s own drawstring bag for storage. Upon inspection the feel and quality of materials used installs confidence that this has been well made and fit for purpose. There’s nothing cheap about this product or skimpy.

The tripod comes with a very clever clamp that’s installed into the head for clamping phones (as per photo). Again it’s made from high quality material and comes across as very robust, firm, and secure.

The flexi arms are thick, the rubber arms have a really nice texture to them, plus upon adjustment the arms stayed in place. The swivel head can be detached so other fixtures can also be attach as desired. Overall I’m impressed as this tripod is certainly a little diamond in the rough…

TARION Octopus Tripod – best portable tripod I have ever owned. Very good quality, made of aluminium with flexible arms. Makes it so easy to attach to different objects while blogging.

It supports smartphone phones with height from 2.36 inch(60mm) to 3.54 inch(90mm).

It is very easy to use and while using with the phone you can add an additional light or microphone on the top.

    I definitely recommend.

I spend a lot of time talking to camera outside and am always on the lookout for products that make life easier, this is one such product.

I have another flexible tripod from a well known brand that I never use and consider to be highly overrated as it has frequently failed me, so when this was offered to me for review I jumped at the chance.
Unlike my other tripod the legs of this are rubberised and as a result seem to bend much more easily around a wider variety of objects making it far more useful as an everyday carry.

The ball head is of an anodised metal construction with adequate movement and sufficient strength to support all of my mirrorless interchangeable lenses from different manufacturers without any noticeable movement or slippage, unfortunately due to a recent spell of poor health I haven’t been able to put this to test outdoors but have no doubt that performance will be the same as in my studio.

An interesting feature is the ability to press a switch on the head which reveals a hidden cell phone mount, one less thing to have to carry in your bag although it only supports the phone in landscape mode, to use portrait requires shifting the ball head which may prove difficult depending on how the tripod is mounted.

As this is lightweight it is also useful as a selfie stick for talking to camera when vlogging and walking, I have tried this with a variety of action cameras and have no criticisms, it will also support a mirrorless camera if required though probably best suited to one of the smaller dedicated vlogging cameras .

One thing I have yet to try is using it for MotoVlogging, I have test fitted it to the bars of my bike with a selfie stick attached for 360 video and it seems stable however I have yet to test this at any speed, I will return to this part of the review to update after some long term testing.

I’ve tried other flexible tripods in the past but they haven’t really worked well – this tripod does!

It arrives well packed and with a nice bag to store/transport the tripod. It is substantial in a quality way, the legs are very flexible and will grip to most things, they also make it very simple to adjust so you can get the right shot with your recording device. I do have an adaptor for attaching my phone to standard tripod screw fittings but with this tripod – it isn’t needed – the tripod is able to grip my phone easily which then allows the screw fitting to be used for a separate light – very convenient!!!

The trouble I had with other flexible tripods – they weren’t strong enough to hold my SLR camera at different angles – this tripod handles all angles with ease – for reference my camera weighs at 1.4kg and with a longer lens, the weight is unbalanced but this tripod handles the complex unit with ease!!

An excellent tripod which I will use again and again and again!!!

I really love this tripod! It’s lightweight, but strong enough to take the weight of a small DSLR – although I don’t think I’d put anything very heavy on it, simply because the legs are designed to bend!

And those bendy legs are great. You can pretty much make this work on any surface, or twist the legs around a chair, a gate, or anything. With a small camera or GoPro, it’s quite robust.

The other great feature is that if you lift up the tripod mount, you’ll find it’s a spring loaded mobile phone holder, making it great for holding your phone for selfies or videos.

Overall, it’s well built, light and easy to carry, and very flexible – in more ways than one.

If you’re the type of ‘slave to social-media’ who wants to attach your camera to pieces of gym equipment while you flex, this tripod is a great choice. With its three grippy legs, which are long enough to clasp around almost anything (I clamped it to my head for a laugh) there are few places it won’t mount. It also features a clever ball-gimble which has a very smooth movement, as well as an extendable section that extends from the top by a couple of inches. This is not a lot, but it makes a difference and adds to its already broad versatility. The name is a bit odd, given it only has three legs, but hey, it functions well and is good value for a device of this type. There is a lot of crap out there and this seems to be a cut above the rest for not a lot more money. Recommended.

Compact but capable camera mount – manages to hold my Canon 70D with heavy 75-300mm lens without issue in landscape mode.

Turning to portrait, you definitely benefit from being able to put this flatter on the table with legs splayed as there is a great tendency to tip over but this can be overcome with careful positioning.

The included popup holder for mobile phones is capable and will hold my iPhone 8 plus in a case so should cope with anything up to an iPhone 15 Pro Max which has a similar width. The capacity of the phone clamp appears to go from 60mm to 86mm fully extended but that would be pretty tight.

Once positioned, the thumb screw really tightens effectively on the ball joint to prevent movement and I had no issues with it slipping once sufficiently tight.

The ball head is also removable should you wish to put the head on another 1/4″ threaded mount.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super compact, grips and holds an SLR (Canon 70D with 75-300mm Lens) and iphone with no trouble

When I’m out on the trail I carry a little Joby GorillaPod, the original bendy tripod. But it’s too small for more general usage. So how does this affordable Tarion compare to the market leading brand?

The answer is – surprisingly well.

    THE LEGS

Instead of the articulated bead design of the Joby, the Tarion legs are a continuous flexible tube. It’s covered with a knobbly, grippy plastic sheath which gives a better hold than the GorillaPod when it’s wrapped around, say, a branch or railing. And I also find this design quicker to straighten out again when you want to use it as a conventional tripod.

    THE HEAD

If you want to save weight, the ball head screws off leaving a standard 1/4″ screw protruding directly from the top plate. With the flexibility of the legs, you still get a pretty usable platform. This also means that the head can be used on other tripods if required.

The materials feel robust and the ball clamps firmly in place with a 1/2 turn of the knob.

As with the GorillaPod, you’re not getting a quick release head – but this is an accessory that’s easy to find.

My only reservation is the phone clamp. You pinch a couple of buttons in the head to draw it up. There are two grippy plastic knobs on the top plate, and three on the bottom. It gives an acceptable hold in landscape, but isn’t long enough for portrait. So far so good – but the mechanism feels a bit rough and I suspect it’s the most likely point of failure.

    RECOMMENDATION

Overall, this is a functional bit of kit at a fair price point. If you are using it with a camera, I can recommend it without reservation. I’m not quite as convinced by the phone clamp – so if this is your priority you might want to shop around before deciding.
