Only took me like 10 minutes to install very good if ur trying to rid of cooling ur cpu with a stock cooler and looking for something that has a quite larger heatsink. Highly recommend
I was upgrading my old CPU to something slightly newer (from i5-7500 to i7-7700) and since the PC case was already open, I decided to replace the stock Intel cooler too. One of the best decisions I could have made! Thermalright Assassin X 90 SE V2 is almost silent and is manages CPU temperature extremely well. Thanks to the large heatsink, the fan only comes on under load, so my whole system is so much quieter!
You will have to install a bracket through the back of your motherboard, so if your PC case doesn’t give you enough access, you might need to unscrew the motherboard just to put that little piece in place. Not a big deal but you have to take it into account if you’re just upgrading your system.
