A good quality large sized mat, suitable for mouse, keyboard etc. Protects the desk and allows smooth mouse movement. The print is a bold black on white design and can add to the decor and atmosphere of the room. Suits the desk well and is a well made mat that should last well.
Lots of people choose an all-white look for their gaming rig so it’s about time they could choose a white outsized mouse mat to go with it. Trouble is this white Topographic design mat isn’t quite white, but it’s close enough. The stitching around the edges is pure white but the mat surface is an off-white with a cool tone and a silvery sheen – it looks good but it isn’t a pure white. The topographical lines design is cool and it’s a print, rather than a fabric design, and my mat pretty much matches the exact design of the one in the photos above.
Otherwise the mat is well-made and has the usual non-slip rubbery surface underneath, giving it a nice cushioned feel that’s comfortable to work on without feeling ‘mushy’. They say the top surface is wipeable but in my experience with other similar mats the best way to remove dusty marks is to use a microfibre cloth, like the one you clean spec’s or smartphone screens with, and although it sounds a bit odd using a fabric to clean a fabric it works surprisingly well. I’ve also taken another similar mat (not this one) and put it through a warm wash in the washing machine and it emerged looking like new, so that might be an option too.
