Over the years I have bought 3 other clothes steamers and now have found the steam iron if my dreams. This is amazing!! I have only used it twice. It’s heavier than my last ones but I love that it’s actually shaped like an iron. It is so very good and steams cotton jackets to finer fabrics to perfectio
This Iron is brilliant most of our clothes were creased from being in the suitcase so long. I filled it with water and the iron got all the stubborn creases out.
So easy to use not too heavy. Great value for money.96
It arrived carefully boxed and contained inside were the steamer itself, a sturdy base (in which you can store the steamer or rest it in whist in use- base has a hook at one end so you can hang it up), a small cup with spout that you can use to fill it and an instruction leaflet.
Turning the steamer on and using it was fairly straight forward and simple after reading the leaflet.
The setting you choose is clearly shown on the digital display.
Performance of the steamer: Following the instructions, I filled the steamer with water, selected my setting and was ready to start. I was pleasantly surprised, yet pleased at the amount of heat and steam it produced. For light weight fabrics with minimal creases this steamer worked great. As for cottons, where the creases are deeper and greater, this required the item to be laid on a flat surface as opposed to hung up and steamed. 5th and 6th photos show my top after having used the steamer. Top half of photo is where I used the steamer.
I still gave this steamer 5stars, because although it didn’t get all the creases out, this is one of my tops that gets the most wrinkles in and if it produced good results on it, then it was going to be great on other items. And it worked great!
For these reasons, I feel this steamer is great value for money and I would really recommend it.
The steamer came with a base which can be fixed to the wall. Not sure if many people would like to hang their steamer on the wall but it is a nice feature to have. There is a little hold for pouring in water with the measuring cup. Clear LCD display. The preheating time is fast.
I must say the result isn’t as good as proper ironer on flattening the clothes, or a proper steamer on producing sufficient steam. It is more suitable for travelling, or for my daughter to use to iron her school shirt and kilt. If you need a more powerful ironing result it is better to use a proper ironer. But if you to iron something quick and don’t want to get the ironing board out, it is a good gadget to have at home.
