Perfectly fits my off brand saddle bag. Compatible with Garmin Varia 515. Holding up very well after multiple muddy and rainy rides. It makes my light visible to cars far away.

Works well in so far as the light clicks in well. The clip is too wide for mine (and most) saddle bags so I used a dremel to cut the clip down to size. Works fine now.

This worked perfectly for attaching my Varia radar to my Basic MIK trunk bag. I’ve used it many times over the past couple weeks. It’s fairly difficult to get on the bag’s strap, but that also means it’s hard to come off. Unfortunately, I did have it fly off once as I was going over some train tracks. This also led to a scratched up Varia. Not great… However, the Varia still works and the mount has not come off since. I just make sure to check it before going out now to ensure it’s all the way seated on the bag strap.

The TUSITA Cycling Saddle Bag Clip Mount (Large Slot) is a great solution for cyclists who want to securely mount their Garmin Varia taillight or other compatible device directly on their saddle bag.

The mount fit my saddle bag perfectly, with a secure and snug attachment. I placed it on an Ortlieb eTrunk bag. It feels very stable, and I have no worries about it bouncing around or coming loose during rides. This is especially important for a taillight, which needs to be unobstructed for maximum visibility.

The only downside is the price. While the quality and functionality are definitely there, I did find it a bit more expensive than I was initially expecting for a relatively simple mount.

Overall, the TUSITA Clip Mount is a great option if you’re looking for a reliable and secure way to mount your Garmin Varia or similar device on your saddle bag. Just be prepared for the price tag.

It does what it says it does. Not much more can be said. I am not a fan of clipping Varia’s to saddle bags. You usually lose the correct angle for the radar to work as intended. It does okay if you only need a tail light.

This is a great, well-engineered solution for mounting a Garmin Varia (or similar tailight that requires a Garmin-style mount) on a saddlebag or even a backpack, anything that has at least a 4cm-wide (~1.6″) loop or strap for the mount to clip onto. When you first get the clip mount, there’s no instructions – but there shouldn’t need to be, it’s a clip. At the back, there are two recessed 2-mm allen bolts that allow you to detach the clip portion and access the Garmin mount internals; handy if you ever need to replace worn-out parts. (Note: I would put a little loctite or other threadlocker on the bolts). As for the clip – as you can see in my pics, it very solidly clips on. In fact, the clip may be a little tight, you may want to back out the bolts just a little if you find your loop to be a bit thick. Once locked in, my Varia was very solidly attached, it definitely felt very well connected without issue, and the clip… well, there’s no budging that clip once it’s on. Solid. This gets a full 5/5 stars from me for value, good engineering, and quality.

I’m not sure what they were thinking when they designed the clip, but I assume it was all about money. There really is no good reason to have two versions of this mount available for sale. Most saddlebags will actually use the smaller size. The large really is wider than what is used on all but the largest of bags. It’ll work fine for clipping to the back waistband of your shorts or back pocket (backpack slot, etc.).

It is NOT difficult to design a clip that accommodates both larger and smaller attachment points. In fact, just the narrow clip will work fine on even large slots… at worst, it will slide a bit either way. If you’re determined, you can take a dremel and slightly cut two grooves on either side to remove more of the plastic. I may cut it half-way to the top, so it can still snugly fit into wider slots as well.

If you own a Garmin Varia you know it comes with its own mount for your bike seatpost. But, what if you have a saddle bag in the way? This clip can attach to the back of your saddle bag providing it has a rear loop (as mine does). Additionally this mount comes in two widths; 0.5″ (13mm) and 1.57″ (40mm) so be sure to measure the loop at the back of your bag.

I chose the large clip and it fits very snugly in my saddle bag. The Garmin twist lock works properly to secure the Varia to this mount and the light sits at the proper angle for best visibility. Overall I’m happy with the item and it will see a lot of use

The slots are 90 degrees off so if you have an L508, just know that it will not mount vertically as in the picture unless there is an undocumented way of turning the bracket in the clip 90 degrees, the L508 clips in vertically, and engages (90 degrees) to rest horizontally. For some, this may not be a big deal but it’s worth mentioning. Other than that, it works as advertised.
