Board looks great, even though I’ve not used it yet. It looks well made. Can’t fault the company Funwater, I had an issue with the pump hose being blocked and not inflating. Suki from Funwater was prompt and persistent in helping get the pump working and even sent a replacement pump out.
I am an OAP and my local quack tells me that on average people who have good balance (eg can stand on one leg for a decent length of time) live longer. The board is proving great for improving my balance and I can vouch that during this improvement phase, falling into the water is a lot more fun than, say, falling off a bike on to asphalt. If I live longer I collect more pension so that will recoup the initial outlay for the board.
So impressed with Funwater’s attitude that I have now bought another, similar, Tuxedo Sailor paddleboard for my granddaughter.
Haven’t used the kayak seat yet but looking forward to trying that out.
Took the board out for the first time this morning. Feels like it has really nice build quality, the fins are initially stiff to get on and off, hopefully they will loosen up over time.
All the kit feels really nice, only slight disappointment is the kayak seat, it only has two straps to secure it, which means that when you’re sat in it, its under tension and all good. When you’re not it will fall all over the place. The board has 4 d rings, would have made sense to have 4 straps. Anyway, really nice board and pretty stable, wouldnt hesitate to buy it again.
*Update*
I ended up having to return the board as the main fin holder was coming loose from the board. I believe its caused by its position when the paddleboard is rolled up it puts pressure on the joint. Its how it was delivered as well. This is a great board and accessories, but when you fold it up i’d recommend folding the final bit back on itself, to prevent this issue.
