    Great looking dock 6-in-1
    It works perfectly.
    USB-C Fast connector.
    High resolution HDMI
    Fast charger
    Usb port with high speed.
I’d say it’s the best choice at the moment with best price.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best at the mome

After messing around with a normal dongle upgraded to this and cleans up the desk a lot having it on a stand and cabling is so much neater hidden behind i

Does exactly what it claims to do.

It’s heavy which means it sits still when you’ve got all the cables coming from it and the steam deck sat on it.

The HDMI output works well, I can do 4k60 or 1080p120

The cable is the right length for connecting it to the USB-C port. My steam deck doesn’t have a case on it so can’t comment on the length when a case is present.

Works well, all the ports work as they should – very happy with my purchase. Plugged in it allows me to use the Ally as a gaming PC /desktop PC.

The dock works great and allows an expansion from the single port offered on the ROG Ally however the cable could do with being a little bit longer as it does feel somewhat stretched. I am sure this probably isn’t the case on the steam deck as the usb input is less of a distance when docked.

The Steamdeck doesn’t get used much but when we do use it, I still find myself amazed at how powerful the unit is. The dock (which is more a “shelf” attached to an adapter), allows the Steamdeck to sit upright making it easier to see when it’s on a desk, rather than lying flat.

There are other “docks” out there that don’t have the shelf and are marketed at laptops and these would likely do the same job (assuming that you get one with the same ports), the shelf is just a “nice to have” and a well positioned book behind the Steamdeck can do the same thing.

As the Steamdecks USB-C port is in the top, this means manually plugging in the USB-C cable each time. In my eyes a dock is something that your device automatically connects with when you push it into place.

Nonetheless, it’s well build (u-green are known for this) and it does the job, I just wish that there were proper docks for the Steamdeck and that the Steamdeck had a USB-C on the bottom! We can only hope.

As the title says, best budget dock for the price. All the ports you need. Is a bit wobbly with the asus ally in the dock, but you can prop it up slightly with a spare/old debit card in place to hold it. Would prob fit the steam deck better (dont know dont have one) but for thr asus rog ally its fine. the only downside i have come across is the actual usb c connector. It works fine in normal use. But sustained usaged. i.e. copying 150gb games on or off the main drive, the usbc connector seems to time out?? it will work again straight away but if your copying 150gb across thats 30 mins wasted and you have to start again. have got around this issue by using a usb c to a adapter with my external drive instead with no issue’s. Could be a faulty port but cant be bothered to send back just wont use it in future. apart from that 1gb ethernet works fine video out works great. unable to test if 4k output works as i have it plugged into my workstation setup and i only have 1080p monitors. will test 4k on the tv downstairs at some point. at 30quid its still a bargain. well done ugreen. 4 stars

I’ve had this for only a couple of weeks so far, and it’s well worth it. I travel a lot and own a lot of games where they do run on the Steam Deck, but the controls are more suited to keyboard and mouse verses controller input. I’ve been able to use it in one hotel that had a TV that’s mounted to the desk like a monitor rather than the wall, and in that scenario this dock has helped me pretty much use it as a portable gaming PC. It’s 25% off at the moment which at that price is a no-brainer purchase (almost wished I waited)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe SteamDeck sits securely within the slot, with allowances for a protective case on the SteamDeck. The USB-C power cable is just long enough to plug and unplug without looking too untidy, utilizing the 90-degree connector.

The case is made the same as similar UGREEN products with a slightly colored aluminum shell.

It doesn’t look out of place on my desk or by the TV unit in the lounge.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf, like me you want a dock so that you can play on a 4K TV the look no further.
It’s a great dock with lots of USB ports AND a USB C port also
    Fantastic I thought
The biggest niggle I have with the Steam Deck (SD) is wake-up button via a Bluetooth game controller.
This I feel is a real shame as Nintendo did it years before with the Switch.
    Shame on you SD
After reading a number of forums, tech articles etc. there *is* the possibility of using a more ‘corporate’ feature called Wake on LAN, or WoL for short.
Great I thought. So I downloaded a number of apps for both Android and IOS that allow a ‘magic packet’ to bet sent to a specific device by using its MAC address (sorry for all the tech jargon ) that will wake up a device using WoL.
Nothing I did worked and believed me I tried everything. The dock was plugged directly into the back of my router using a 1m cable running at a gigabit.
Then I remembered back in the day some devices either did not have the WoL feature or it had to been enabled. As this is a dock I could not find a ‘hidden’ menu and I by now knew that a lot of SD docks did not support WoL.
I can therefore only assume this dock does not support WoL which is a crying shame as the dock supports everything else a SD owner would want or need in the future.
In summary a great dock with plenty of USB connectivity but if you to sit on your sofa and have SD wake-up to play, then you need to look elsewhere.
I have read that the genuine SD dock can be used with WoL, but I can’t justify the cost for what is a piece of plastic compared to much cheaper aluminium alternatives.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOut of the box this charges the Steam Deck as expected and has great features like a USB-C port. I tested this with a Kingston USB-C SSD and was getting about 350MB/s transfer rates which was great.

I installed Windows 10 on my Steam Deck and am not able to easily change the resolution on my monitor via Windows settings. I installed AMD Control Center (7-Zip workaround to install) and using the AMD software could comfortably change resolutions – 4 stars based on that. I was however able to set the monitor refresh rate to 120Hz on 1440p/2K which is great!
