It works very well in an open area during the day but if using in a shaded area it can become a little bit challenged as it relies on solar power and it has no back up battery power to support it when there is not enough daylight..
Definitely work, the cats hate this and have stopped coming near my house. Such an affective device.

This repellent works effectively to scare off birds and mammals. The issue with all repellants that use sound is that you generally need more than one to effectively cover different directions or put them at different heights. This company has been very supportive giving me feedback on how to use it when I emailed. I am using it to protect fruit trees from birds and squirrels.
I bought one of these devices in December and had such a great experience with it that I ordered a second one in March. Our area has lots of deer who customarily munch my bulbs and other plants while we sleep. We haven’t had any night visitors ever since I installed these units in my front yard and in the back yard. Not even deer tracks to be seen which we used to have a lot of all the time. Smaller animals, like rabbits and ground squirrels, still roam around freely and don’t seem to be bothered by the device. Overall, I am still very happy with this repellent since deer were the biggest nuisance for us.
