USB C to HDMI Adapter, 4 in 1 HDMI Splitter for Dual Monitors 4K@30Hz, USB 3.0, PD 100W, USB Type C to Dual Monitors Multiport Adapter for MacBook Pro/Air, iPad, Surface, Dell, Galaxy, Chromebook
What I like:
– Windows and Mac compatible.
– Plug and play; easy to use.
– Multiple display mode in Windows (my OS); supports both Single Stream Transport (SST; mirroring the source on 2 screens) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST; using each screen separately with a different image) in Windows.
– USB-C connection for output from various devices (computers, tablets, phones).
– USB-C has also a fast charging capability (100W PD).
– Extra USB-A 3.0 slot, catering for various devices (data, keyboard, etc.).
– USB-A slot works well with a Bluetooth wireless adapter, so that you can connect a wireless keyboard and mouse (I haven’t tried it with a graphic tablet yet).
– Image and sound quality is very adequate, even with only 4K @30Mhz. No distortion noticed in image quality even on lower resolution screens.
– Good and solid construction: aluminum case with rounded edges; sockets/ports don’t wobble; good cable.
– Does not get very hot.
– Light (easy to transport).
– Nice design.
– Good value for money. A 4K @ 60MHz adapter with 2 x HDMI, PD and USB-A 3.0 will be nearly twice the price. But, if you don’t have the graphics card, screens and cables to match, then it’s pointless to pay more. So, check your equipment first, and determine what it can and can’t do.
What I don’t like:
– Only 4K at 30Mhz, when 60Mhz and up to 120Mhz is becoming the norm.
– Therefore, cannot support HDMI 2.1.
– Displayport sources not supported. This is not a problem for me, but can be a deal-breaker for a graphics designer, someone using CAD apps (e.g., architects or designers), gamers and other users who rely on graphics cards (especially the higher-end ones) with Displayport.
– A longer cable enabling me to tuck the adapter behind my screen or in a cable tray under my desk, out of view and to keep my working surface less busy.
As long as you are aware of the technical limitations of this product and are happy with them, this is a very adequate product.
Product works as expected (allows the display of separate documents on dual screens as well as my laptop). Movement of docs is really easy between the screens, and this makes work tasks easier to manage.
Have checked that the USB and USB-C ports work ok, but not had to use them yet.
If you don’t need one of those 7-in-1 USB-C docks that adds a load of card readers, random display ports and USB ports, grab one of these splitters and enjoy being able to feed your laptop to more monitors via a tiny box. You’ll need a compatible USB-C port though if you intend on feeding to two 4K monitors.
The USB PD 100W port means you don’t lose your USB-C charging capability, if you do in fact use it.
There’s one additional USB3 port just in case you need it.
The USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter is a versatile accessory that expands the connectivity options of compatible devices, such as MacBook Pro/Air, iPad, Surface, Dell laptops, Galaxy phones, and Chromebooks.
Its primary feature is the ability to split the USB-C port into two HDMI outputs, allowing users to connect two external monitors simultaneously. This is particularly useful for multitasking, presentations, or enhancing productivity with a dual-monitor setup.
With support for 4K resolution, the adapter ensures high-quality visuals on both monitors, delivering crisp and vibrant images. The inclusion of a USB 3.0 port adds further functionality, enabling users to connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice, or external storage devices.
Another highlight is the PD (Power Delivery) 100W capability, which allows for simultaneous charging of the connected device while using the adapter. This ensures uninterrupted usage, even during extended work sessions.
Overall, the USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter offers a convenient and efficient solution for users who require expanded connectivity and enhanced display options, making it a valuable accessory for professionals, students, and multimedia enthusiasts alike.
Now this functions totally as you would expect, and is good at what it does.
I did find some limitations with it, but at the price point thats to be expected. 4k works but only up to 30Hz, but thats not the end of the world.
At the current price (13.98) at the time of review, its well worth the money.
This adapter or splitter is actually a really good addition to support more than one monitor. I also have two projectors also, so as long as the requirements are correct, this is a brilliant idea. This purposely is a 4 in 1 splitter for 4k monitors which I have, works well on my iPad also my Chromebook.
At review the cost is 13.99 and represents very good value. There are four usb ports to use, just plug in and away you go. Compatible with monitors as I have mentioned, lap tops, desk top versions.. the devices it states must be 4K capable. Please read all the sellers information because this splitter will not work on several devices, so ensure you are covered before buying.
Very happy with mine and use it most days, better than mirroring,
Thank you to the seller.
This is essentially is a splitter allowing you to run a projector and other items plus…….
Made for a MacBook which I borrowed off the children to see how things run etc.
It has1 HDTV Downwards compatible. USB male and female ports can be used as
a power adapter.
The one thing I stress is check it over to see if it fits your requirements as it
will not do everything. Once the family tried it they gave me a breakdown of
what it can do and what it cannot do. If you have a requirement for this you will
be pleased you got it. One thing It did do was allow a multiscreen set up.
They seem now to have inherited it permanently.
Good quality and feels sturdy.
This item is an improvement over similar multi-function adaptors, that enable you to connect two external monitors via a USB-C port.
First of all, it has two HDMI sockets that can support two 4K monitors (3840 x 2160), or standard HD (1920 x 1080), or lower resolutions if required. It works straight out the box (without the need for any driver installation), and both monitors were detected straight away, when I connected it to my Lenovo T480s laptop.
The bonus with this adaptor, is that you can connect your laptop power supply (assuming it has a USB-C plug), to the USB-C socket on this hub (to charge your device). And, there is also a USB3 socket, which you can use with a memory stick to transfer data or You could plug in an additional hub, to allow the connection of other USB peripherals, plus a wired Ethernet connection, thus giving you full docking station functionality at a fraction of the cost of a proprietary device.
In summary, this item appears to be a quality product, housed in a robust metal case, which in addition to supporting two 4K monitors, has a power input for charging your device and a USB3 port, to support other peripherals. Highly recommended.
This is a really well built and solid dual HDMI adapter with an aluminium encasing and an aluminium USB-C uplink connector. I purchased this purely because I wanted to have dual monitors so that I could extend the display over two screens and not just mirror them. Well this device worked beautifully for that purpose, and without the need to install any software. I then realised that I could also use this as a mini docking station, as with the addition of the USB Type A port and USB Type C port on the back end of the connector gave me everything that I needed.
I now use this to connect both my monitors through it and just leave the HDMI port that comes on my laptop empty. For the keyboard and mouse I have a Bluetooth USB dongle which I put in the USB-A port on the connector. The USB Type C port is empty at the moment, but as that provides power I will be hanging an small hub off of that port which will give me my SD Card reader slots and any additional connectivity that is needed.
As you can see, with the addition of the USB Type C interface, WITH power delivery, really does open up limitless possibilities. What was purchased as a simple dual HDMI adapter, with the option of using the USB-A port and the USB-C ports, is now a great little docking station and at a fraction of what a proper one would have cost you.
Overall, this is an excellent little device that does everything I need it to and more and I would highly recommend it, as I don’t have anything negative to say about it.
This adaptor is useful, mainly for the face it has 2 x HDMI outputs, which allow extending (not just mirroring). It allows passthrough charging which is perfectly adequate. It also allows for one USB A input, handy if you don’t have this port on your laptop. It is mainly useful for the dual HDMI rather than if you need a bunch of different inputs. Otherwise the quality is decent and connections seem to be fine.
Made of anodized aluminium this is a good adapter for PC’s, Laptops etc. Complete with 2, 4K HDMI ports a USB-A port and a Power Delivery port for charging up to 100W.
The input is USB-C and works also with Thunderbolt ports.
Everything works as it should and is nicely compact for taking along with a laptop.
This is a really nice adapter, not only does it offer ports but also power and data, too. On testing, the HDMI ports extend your display up to 4K at 30Hz, either for a single or for both HDMI ports.
The USB-C input works with vanilla USB-C ports as well as Thunderbolt 3 ports, provided the devices port supports “Display Port Alternate Mode” to display 4K resolutions. But it obviously only mirrors displays for use with tablets and mobiles, which is to be expected for these types of adapter. No drivers are required either, hence being described as ‘plug and play’, which is also good to have.
Usefully, there is also an additional USB-A port, which means you can use this adapter to provide up to 5Gbps data transfers at the same time as using monitors. The inclusion of another USB-C power-only input, means this also offers PD fast charging high-speed pass-through charging up to 100W, keeping your devies powered and charged while in use.
Construction wise, it’s made of durable metal, with the main body of the adapter being aluminum it should geive good heat dissipation over time while using it. Its small size makes it very easily fit into your bag for any trips or commutes you make too.
