I purchased this, because I have a mobile event that needs a generator, and this works perfectly for that purpose. I was able to run a powered speaker along with charging a phone and laptop. It exceeded my expectations in terms of power and length of time the battery Provides. The solar charging aspect is an excellent alternative, when unable to fully charge prior to my gig. This weighed exactly what I thought it would, being that it is one extremely large battery! Five stars.
Although it’s a 1000w power station it has no problem running appliances of much higher rated wattage, had it running a microwave 1100w input 750w output , air fryer 1480w, washing machine on cool wash, and 1800w kettle just as quickly as the mains it seems to me, above average battery life, from 100% to 5% I’m getting between 81% to 83% because of what the inverter and BMS needs to run.
My only negative is the time it takes to recharge about 7hrs from the wall outlet but I knew this before I bought it as I only need it for occasional camping and emergency backup.
The unit was purchased to pair up with a solar panel and run items through the day from the sun. On a winter day with good sunlight I’ve had 70W input and ran a gaming laptop 9-5 from the 100W PD USB-C output with the power only dropping to 75%. On summer days it would be even better.
I did receive a faulty charger which failed within minutes of starting to use it, but the supplier was very good and sent me out a replacement that arrived within a week. Can’t complain about the support. Have now purchased the add-on battery to go with it to have a meaty reserve of power should the need arise. When the weather is nicer I plan on using it with some power tools to do some work I need to do outside away from mains power. Only downside is the inverter fan being a little loud, but if you only use USB-C PD you shouldn’t hear it start up at all.
Have to say this is a superior product to the Bluetti EB70 that I also have, largely thanks to the much better information panel, that gives you good feedback on the state of the batteries. Only downside is that it weighs a fair bit more, but that’s an inevitable consequence of the higher capacity.
So I have had the Vtoman 600 jump + extra battery for 6 months and have had no problems with the items at all. I decided I wanted to get the Vtoman 1000 jump to power my full sized fridge freezer, microwave etc in an emergency.
Firstly the weight of this item is 38.5lbs a whopping 24lbs heavier than the 600w jump. Hence the box is substantially larger and so is the foam padding around it for protection that’s about 5 inches deep.. I wouldn’t be able to get the larger sizes as I simply cannot lift it .
Now the blurb says 1000w consistent power but the output of this can actually go to 1408w with a surge protection of 2000w.
I ran specific test from 100% with my Dreo (TM) ceramic heater that is 1500w, so was curious to see how the Vtoman would perform.
Firstly nothing exploded. If you have one of ceremaic heaters they have 3 levels of heating.
At first plug in the surge went up to 1598w. So pretty good. At H1 ( heat level 1) it was pulling consistently 897 watts, at H2 it was pulling 1016w at H3 it was pulling 1598w. Because the max consistent output of the Vtoman jump 1000 is actually higher than 1000w at 1408w. At H3 it throttled down ( without cutting off) consistently at 1431w higher than even the stated wattage of 1408w. The fans did kick in at heat setting 2 & 3 and the noise of these fans are substantially louder than the 600 jump. In fact no matter what I threw at the 600 jump the fans only came in for a few seconds, so this was a surprise to have the fans blowing loudly. But in the scheme of things, it beats a petrol generator noise, which you can’t use indoors.
On the highest setting ( H3) I would have gotten 50 minutes, at H2 – 1.1 hrs. At H1 1.2-1.3 hrs. With the ceramic heater oscillating it pulled extra electricity.
It arrived 80% charged. It took 50 minutes to charge to 100%. On that basis it would take 4.5 hrs to 5 hours charging from 0-100% via AC input.
I was consistently getting 173w via AC input charging the Vtoman 1000. So stands to reason to charge the Vtoman jump 1000 + extra battery would be approximately 10 hours to charge via AC. And I assume longer via solar unless on a very hot sunny day with little to no fluctuations in the sun & cloud. I will update my review when I get an opportunity to charge via solar.
It charged back up fine. And comes with a lovely Vtoman pouch for your cables. I have added the cables from the Vtoman 600 jump to the pouch along with my Vtoman jumper cables so they are all in one place.
I honestly do wish there were rubber covers for the plugs in these units to protect from dust when taking outside…but I guess it would push up the price. Very happy with my unit & would invest in an extra battery, when I have some extra cash.
I already have solar panels…so good to go for now.
I was searching for a power station with a decently rated inverter and good capacity for a while before I came across this Vtoman. It comes well packed and feels solid and well constructed.
After testing it I found that although the inverter is rated at 1000w, it’ll easily handle 1 2kw to 1.5kw bursts ,Perhaps more.
The capacity is large enough to be genuinely useful. Mine will be used to keep the freezer alive in the event of a power cut.
It also has the advantage of being the best value option by a good bit.
I’ve only good things to say.
Great item.
First the good news; seems to hold its charge well and hopefully the batteries won’t degrade, only time will tell. However impossible to plug three things in as the sockets are too close together, the fan is deafening (but thankfully rarely heard), the car charger plug gets red hot after 30 minutes and if using the extra battery it shuts off when switching from it to its internal battery (which it isn’t supposed to do). Still it’s the best of the lot if you get a good discount eg 50%.
Small enough to carry short distances. Lots of inputs. Was completely silent until plug in a kettle (this was only a test) Powered the tv and charged everyone’s equipment in the motorhome for a full day. Yes around 50% of its power. I didn’t connect to the solar for this trial as I wanted to see what I would achieve over 24hrs. Very decent back up in an emergency at home
Item is exactly as described online and arrived earlier than expected and was partly charged, unfortunately there was no Jump Starter lead within the package (extra).
I would recommend this product especially that it suits all my needs whilst camping and night fishing.
Thank you for building such a great machine.
I’ve got a garage over 50 metres from my house and this thing has turned it into a functional workshop/clubhouse. Powers all I’ve thrown at it so far including TV, table and shop saws, sanders etc. Also taken and used while camping which was cool. It seems to be well built and was easy to use from the off. If it lasts with no faults it’ll be one of the best purchases I’ve made.
I have tried and returned a few other products to find the one. This search has arrived to an end with this product.
A few highlights:
– Almost all kind of power outlets to fits dashcam, cooler, freezer, phone charger (usb-c or regular usb) without any interruption or voltage cut.
– Charging itself from car lighter while using it for dash-cam and freezer while driving. At the end of the road, the capacity is still %100 and I have almost a full 24 hours in parking with that capacity. (depends on your wattage consumption)
– Lots of switch on-off buttons. How? We have switch button for plugs only, lighter outlet only, usb ports only etc. Very handy functionality.
– Easy to cary with handler but a little bit heavy.
Overall this product addressed all my needs at once. Strongly recommended.
I got this to run power tools to build a big deck away from any electric supply. The 1500w power limit is enough to run my most power hungry power tool which is my table saw. However, the 1500x is only 1000 mah and and so I got the additional battery for extra 1500mah. I also got 2 X 200w portable solar panels and knocked up a frame to sit them on. This set up has been an absolutely fantastic! I can run all my tools off grid and charge all my various drills and saws. I have even started charging all my garden tools which use 60v batteries of huge capacity. All this effectively powered by the sun for free! The Vtoman 1500x was better priced than other makes I looked at. It’s used constantly but it does have a noisy fan which makes it less refined for use as an indoor power source. That isn’t important for my use but from what I searched
you will pay alot more for a quiet one!
I previously had a smaller portable power unit and decided to upgrade to the VTOMAN 1500x and it’s been amazing. I use it all the time for travelling, camping and it never fails to impress me.
Would definitely give this 5 stars
Powerful power station that keeps electronics powered up, I’ve used this on my desktop PC and PS5 and it can keep them going for 3 hours+ and charging your phone or other small devices it lasts a very long time. I noticed if you use this on a microwave or a toaster (which it was capable) then the microwave and toaster didn’t cook as good as if it was on the mains. Not sure on the reason for that but keep in mind.
During AC usage if the fan kicks in, it’s VERY, VERY LOUD so keep that in mind if you’re using it to watch TV but it doesn’t stay on for long.
Now on to charging, it seems to cap out at about 180w using both the supplied power cable and my solar panels (3x100w panels) which is alright just may take some time to charge from empty but I’ve never completely drained the battery so it’s never been an issue.
Would recommend and definitely looking into getting the add on battery to double it’s capacity.
I was looking for a 100 ah Lifepo4 battery, inverter and controller and then spotted the Jump 1000 that had all I needed in one neat solution. First impressions are really good however the solar connector isn’t supplied with the power station and only comes with the panels so if like me you already have solar panels you need to ensure you have the 5521 connectors (Jackery cable doesn’t fit!). The free jump cable (an offer at the time) didn’t come with it but customer were on it really well. My intention is to use this when caravanning and also everyday to boil an 800w kettle and charge all battery devices assuming the sun is shining – so bring on the sun. I’ve given 4 stars as the price is always moving and it’s already cheaper than I paid during the Amazon Prime days which is disappointing.
We bought ours to supplement the power supply on our caravanning camping trips as the power will trip normally if a few appliances are in use simultaneously, the quality and portability is superb and now as an added bonus I can take it on my tent trips to cook, run my chest fridge and charge my electric mountain bike plus phone , iPad etc, don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of buying one as you won’t regret it for a second, off to look for suitable solar panels for charging it now.
Great power station with lots of power. Build quality seems very good and is very portable. Also good to be able to buy a separate extra battery to increase power. Only drawback is on the accessories side, no waterproof carry bags as yet, no option for mini inverter so I can run power back into the house whilst using solar. Would be nice to see this. Otherwise very happy will Vtoman 1500x
I recently purchased the jump1500x mainly to run a full sized microwave and kettle in my lorry when I do an overnight run. It aldo allows me to have a full size fan and other appliances and gadgets plugged in all night without draining my lorry batteries ( which has happened in the past ) I’m amazed at the amount of power it can produce without getting phased, apparently, although my microwave is supposed to be 800 W, it actually draws over 1100 W and the kettle does 600 W which even with my poor maths works out to well over 1500 W that it is supposed to provide and it does all this without cutting out or struggling so I am well impressed and the bonus is I can recharge it fully whilst driving between shops and the yard
So, this is my 2nd portable power station. Having upgraded from a far smaller unit that sadly shuttled off this mortal coil.
Prior to purchase I did a huge amount of research, and obviously looked at the current market leaders.
In terms of power capacity and delivery not a lot comes close at this price point. It misses out on a phone/bluetooth app, which is a good thing as far as I`m concerned.
The display is excellent, giving you a good understanding of power usage and time left till full or flat depending on how your using it.
I can charge it and use it at the same time. just over 4 hours to charge with the PSU.
I`ve learnt a lot about these devices over the last year, and this one ticks all the boxes, and its cheaper than most.
Used it with my 1.5kw lawnmower and it completed the job. Have tested with TV, consoles and oil filled heaters and it appears to love them all!
I will expand this system.
This is a great bit of kit!
Using it with at solar panel for free recharges. Not using extension leads in the garden any more to power hedge trimmers. Off grid gardening!
I was a bit disappointed there was no carry bag option. However, a quick search on Amazon and the Anndora Cool Bag, XL 40L does the job nicely.
I recently purchased this Power Station to use for camping and outdoor use. The unit is really high quality for the price and is more than sufficient to charge your phone, use laptop and other portable devices. I wanted to get a unit where I wouldn’t drain my truck battery and also have the ability to use small appliances such as a portable fan, portable cooler, small cooking units and anything else I might need that requires AC use. This unit was able to handle it for three continuous days of use.
I chose the VTOMAN over the Jackery because I really liked the design and over value of the unit. I think what drew me to it primarily was the light, that is much larger than other units on the market. The handle is also sturdy and in a good location for lifting the unit, that weighs a reasonable 15 pounds. I also liked the position of the AC outlets in the front and location of the USB ports for charging my wireless devices. It does take a long time to fully charge (8-12 hours), but for using items with small wattage requirements it gives you all the power you need. Amazon says it is gas powered, but that is an error because you either need to plug it into an AC outlet or can you buy the optional solar panels to charge it.
I did end up returning it because I ended up getting a larger power station capable of lasting longer and able to handle larger items for a longer period of time. It is much lighter in weight then the larger power stations and could be an option to hook up a trickle charger to your battery or for other emergency situations. But if you are looking for something to use sparingly or to charge your wireless devices while camping, then this is more than sufficient. It also is something you can use when the power goes out and be a great backup for your electrical needs in the garage when working on a project and don’t want to use lengthy electrical cords.
I highly recommend this Power Station and this manufacture for your Power Backup needs.
