This is a fairly easy device to setup. You mount it to your cars dashboard, power it up via the supplied cable, connect to your cars aux port and then connect your phone either via Carplay or android auto. I haven’t used Carplay as an android user but have to assume the experience is similar. When using Android auto it automatically connects and displays my music and navigation. Using the aux cable means my music seamlessly comes out of my factory car stereo along with the navigation announcements. There is also a FM transmitter so you can transmit the audio to your OEM stereo if it doesn’t have an aux port.
In the box:
The main unit
Adhesive dash mount
Suction cup mount
12v power lead
3.5mm to 3.5mm jack aux cable.

There is A LOT to like about this little screen. Very easy to set up and once set up, the screen is bright and easy to read. It connects automatically when you start the car, although this does take a few seconds to register the phone and then switch to android auto/apple car play. So if you get in the car and need to put directions into google maps straight away, you will have to wait 20 – 30 seconds first. That being said, a quick workaround is to set the route on google maps on your phone and once the device connects, it automatically picks up your journey and transfers it to the screen.
One thing I have seen mentioned in the sound quality of the speakers. This is IMPORTANT. You CAN set the device to play audio through your car speakers. You have to to this through the base menu for the sc reen (not the android auto/carplay menu) but once this is done, all audio will play through your speakers. Which is fantastic and puts the device on par with an inbuilt system.
The screen in bright but not as responsive as a phone screen or high end built in car screen. But that is to be expected for this price. It does the job.
Overall, for the price, this can;t be beaten and is an excellent way to add android auto/car play to your car.
Easy to connect and use as a radio or use google maps, Apple car play.
Attach to Dash or windscreen.wide screen allows you to Bluetooth connect hands free phone connection too.
Great price love i
In use in 06 Yaris in Ireland
Cheap
Works great
Screen very reactive
Glued to dash
Can also suction cup to windshield
Plugs into car lighter port
Comes with aux but I don’t have aux cord hole
Sound is a bit static as I connect to car speakers through FM
Over all great produc
So I bought this as I have a 2014 Peugeot as a run around, my primary car is alot newer and has all the features of this built in, but on the 208 the head unit uses their own software that you cannot change out or anything, it’s also notoriously annoying to change the whole unit for a more modern one, as well as expensive, so when I saw this on sale I thought “for 60 I’ll give it a go”. I am amazed how good this thing actually is, it feels kinda cheap but does come with 2 different mounts, one dash mount and one suction mount. I’m using the dash mount and it is surprisingly adjustable, the screen is nice and bright as well as clear picture, connecting to my phone was really easy and quick. It also automatically connects whenever I start the car now and boots up nice and quick. The screen is also very responsive and touch sensitive. It does everything I need it to do, even setting up audio to play through my existing radio speakers was easy and the sound is good, the built in speaker is pretty bad which is honestly my only gripe so far. I would say that for a cheaper end unit it works fantasticly well and would highly recommend for anyone who just wants a bit of a modern uplift in their car if it’s a bit older and they don’t want to spend the earth
I use it through Android auto/FM transmitter and although the transmitter sound quality isn’t great, it’s good enough for me and everything else works perfectly!
I wish I knew these existed ages ago because my car feels much newer now and I enjoy driving it more
So, I was so unsure about this product as I have a 2001 car with a very old radio.
I gave it a try and I can now tell you that:-
1. Connection:
Since I have samsung, I have tried phone mirror and android auto.
Solid connection. A map on the main screen by default which I need the most for my driving.
2. Touch Screen
Screen is very responsive unlike a lot of others I have seen people reviews on amazon and the regular complaints are that screens are not responsive
3. Sound quality
To be fair I was surprised by it as normally I would expect the sound quality to be terrible specially when connection is through Bluetooth.
4. Aux and radio transmission
That’s ideal to connect your screen straight to your car speakers.
Overall there’s nothing I wouldn’t like about it. Highly recommended!
I had low expectations at this price but i am very happy with it. It boots up in no time and Carplay works great. The screen is a bit squeaky when scrolling but could be fixed with a protector foil.
Using this 7 inch screen in my car which supports carplay and also android auto has transformed my driving experience into a better one.
The screen can support mirroring, airplay, bluetooth, aux so I can connect directly my music player if I want to and it also has FM radio built in. I’m using this mostly for navigation and depending on which phone I find more convenient to use mind which is iphone or my friend`s android, I know for sure that I am able to use this device.
Connect to my phone was through bluetooth and I can even listen to music straight from this screen because it has integrated speaker. What is the most important for me is that I can use the functions of my phone without having to touch it and this gives me the peace of mind that I can focus better on the road and avoid any distractions.
I’m also able to watch videos on this screen while I wait in the car and it fits well on my car`s dashboard and it doesn’t reduce the visibility while driving.
It is also responsive when I get in the car early morning when it is very cold and so far it has been a reliable addition to my car set up and it works great.
It is probably due to the fact that I’m used to using and handling an i Pad, but when I took this out of the box it was a bit flimsier and lighter than I was expecting. Still, all good, nice enough piece of kit. I’m not sure that some of the apps on the main picture are on there so tiny bit misleading.
This car screen was a doddle to set up with iPhone, simply plug it in to the car and turn on your bluetooth, authorise it to use car play and off you go! I like the fact that it uses a USB C input so you can have an adaptor with two ports in the cigaret lighter port and still have one spare to charge your phone.
The screen is a good size and clear to see as well as being good and responsive to touch. The other feature that we liked for our old Subaru is that you can broadcast the sound on FM radio and pick it up on the car radio. As the car has no bluetooth or Aux input this is a good workaround, although the broadcast frequency seems to reset every time you turn it on and reverts to normal output through the unit so its a bit fiddly setting it up and only really worth it on long trips.
The suction cup fitted well on the windscreen and held it all in place, the whole unit is much easier to use than faffing with your phone fitting it in a car holder, as well as the screen being much easier to read navigation on than a phone.
All in all really happy with it and quite a bit cheaper than another one I reviewed about a year ago and equally good quality.
Most of the things I like about this is its ability to uplift an dated sound system and information system and I have found it great for waze and listening to podcasts an the odd phone call. However it loses fidelity when listening to music and radio. I find I have a hiss on certain frequency notes. This comes from the unit not my stereo. I can overlook this as I am not banging tunes out all day but overall this could be annoying considering how well the rest of the unit works.
I’ll probably use it mostly with my phone plugged into it but I’m impressed as I wasn’t sure how good this was going to be, but for the money it’s actually ok.
I drive a 14 year old Ford C-Max that doesn’t have any sat nav – I usually use the Waze app on my iPhone but it’s hard to see the screen sometimes or hear the directions if my radio is on. This has been a gamechanger for me.
It was so easy to set up and fit to the car, it was easy to connect to and the interface on the screen is smooth.
The sound quality is OK – I can listen to my audiobooks whilst driving and still use the Waze app at the same time. Call quality is fairly good too.
A great gadget with lots of useful features that work well. Perfect for those who, like me, drive older vehicles. I would happily recommend.
This is a cheap little Carplay + Auto interface, for the entry-level part of the market. Great for old cars which can’t be updated any other way.
I was a bit sceptical considering the relatively low price of this kit, and the packaging doesn’t inspire much confidence either, but thankfully it outdid my expectations.
Here are my main highlights for this product:
Supports both Apple Carplay & Android Auto
Easy BT pairing with phone
Reasonably priced
7-inch HD touchscreen display
Most standard inputs and outputs are supported
Had some random problems with slow interface
Built-in speaker is too quiet in moving car
Not the most attractive physical setup
———–
The first thing that strikes you when it boots up is the quality of the screen. It is 7 inches with a decent resolution, and it looks better than that would suggest. It has good contrast and even video looks okay. It is bright enough for anything except direct sunlight, so in other words 99% of the time in the UK. It’s certainly not the best in-car screen I have tried, but it’s not the worst.
The interface is acceptably responsive and accurate, like a budget smartphone. I remember the first touchscreen systems and how laggy they used to be; this is a far better experience. Maybe once every few hours the interface will slow down noticeably, I don’t know if this is the CPU throttling from overheating, but it doesn’t last long and has yet to crash the system.
The physical in-car setup is very easy, there’s really not much to it. If you can set up a GPS then this won’t be a problem. Connection and mirror mode work perfectly, just like to a TV or monitor.
This is a cheap and relatively cheerful bit of kit for comparatively little money (80-90).
Compared to the price you would pay for a similar name-brand kit, this is very reasonable. It is a great way to improve the entertainment and information system in your car, with dozens of potential uses, from GPS to full media player. Of course, longevity is the real question. Will it still be working in a couple of years time? It seems to have decent build quality, but you never know what’s actually inside the housing.
For the price I think it’s worth taking the plunge, hence it gets my recommendation, with a star deducted for the freezing and the poor speaker (although of course you are supposed to use the car speaker really).
This multifunction smart player works really well. The box contains the main unit with mounting plate, power lead, a windscreen attachment plus a dashboard mounting plate with double sided tape pads. The plate has screw holes too for securing to a safe area of the dash if you prefer.
The screen is clear and easy to see, volume and controls work well. The main features are Apple carplay, Android Auto, Mirror cast, media player, airplay, Audio output and FM transmitter.
I paired my phone to the android auto which was very simple, whenever you get in the car the system auto finds your phone. Using the Google maps sat nav is great as the map is always upto date and it gives traffic information.
Great for any urgent calls or messages and staying within the UK law by not touching your phone.
To conclude a very good smart player, highly recommended.
Seeing these advertised on social media made me a bit sceptical, but I must say, it has turned out to be a great quality-of-life upgrade to my car. I drive a Ford Fiesta MK7, and while it has built-in Bluetooth, the screen quality is subpar. Plugging this into the cigarette lighter and mounting the base to my dash using the included sticky pad was quick and easy. Pairing it with my iPhone was simple, and Apple Carplay immediately connected, giving me access to Apple Maps and music.
Initially, the audio played through the unit’s built-in speakers, but a quick adjustment in the settings allowed me to pair the unit via Bluetooth to my car. Now, the audio seamlessly comes through my car’s speakers when I start the car.
On the downside, I am not sure if it only affects Ford Fiestas or even just my car but the first time I used it, the screen didn’t turn off, leading to a drained battery. As a precaution, I now unplug it when I’m done using it to avoid any similar issues. Additionally, I’ve noticed that the touch screen can be a bit laggy and unresponsive at times. However, considering the price, it’s still acceptable.
Overall, it’s been a great update to my car and would definitely give it a go if you have a fairly old car like mine.
I have quite an old vw polo so don’t have any integrated satnav or onboard computer, but with this now I do
I did wonder if it was going to be any good, because when I took it out of the box it felt really lightweight and looked a bit plasticky, but was pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was to connect up to the car and my iPhone 12, had no problems at all and works just the same as the Apple play in my 2021 Peugeot work van.
So so happy now I can get all my notifications, calls, messages, calendar, my music all on the good size screen, it’s also a very good quality screen, nice clear, bright vivid display.
Performance is great
Good price 89.99 on the day of ordering, well deserving of the 5
This device is fantastic! It plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and has a 7-inch display. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and shows Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in real-time. I installed it in my older car, and it’s a simple and cost-effective way to get all the new tech without replacing the whole head unit. You can mount it on the windshield or dashboard and adjust the head’s angle for a better view. To get sound in your car, connect via Bluetooth, FM, or aux, depending on your car’s capabilities. It even has its own speaker, but I’d recommend using the car speakers.
There are lots of functions to choose from, and the touchscreen is responsive, with smooth gestures. The screen is clear and high-resolution. I use wireless Apple CarPlay, and it works perfectly. Listening to music, using Google Maps, and other apps all work as expected. It also supports mirror link, so you can mirror your iPhone screen for photos, videos, apps, and more. Plus, it has TF card support.
The device supports voice control, so you can use Siri for calls, music, directions, and more while driving. Overall, it’s an excellent plug-and-play device that doesn’t require any car modifications and brings new life to an old car.
This is a game changer for cars without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. My car has a lovely big screen but the dealership asking for lots of money to activate apple carplay and I don’t think it’s worth it.
This device can do all of that at a very affordable price. The unit can be attached to your dashboard or windscreen with a suction cup which is actually very good and sturdy. It’s fully portable and very easy to use. You can have it always with you if you change cars or rent one.
The screen is easily connected to your phone using Bluetooth and works perfectly with maps, music or any other apps. It’s really good because you can also mirror your phone.
The screen brightness and quality are very good. Touch sensitivity is amazing and works instantly. You can also add a micro SD card with your music or video files.
Downsides: The speaker on the screen is not really good and can’t hear a lot if you’re driving on the motorway or having your windows open. There is no 2-way Bluetooth connection (phone to screen and screen to car). This can be done using the AUX port but unfortunately, my car doesn’t come with an AUX port. The Apple car play didn’t load a couple of times but as soon as I restarted the device it worked perfectly.
Overall it’s a very good gadget for any car and I would recommend it.
This portable car stereo has a seven inch screen and doesn’t require much mounting hardware, this is great way to get android auto and apple carplay into your car without cutting or having a significant installation task it’s just a simple plug and play unit that can either be mounted to the dash or be suction cup mounted to the windshield. The stereo unit even comes with its built in speaker which sounds decent however you can also connect it to your car’s aux interface, You also have the option to use the fm transmitter within the stereo to go for a wireless approach so the stereo will stream all your media on a fm frequency which an be picked up by your car, which is really handy to have if you have a older car without aux or bluetooth. The device’s installation is incredibly simple and can be mounted almost anywhere with the suction mount, with the screen being coated there is very minimal glare and it is bright enough to see while driving during sunny days. I can definitely recommend this stereo.
Nicely presented and you are able to connect to the car speakers either via bluetooth or with aux however i did find when using aux it would play sound through the car speaker as well as out the device so you would hear music coming out of both so would only purchase if your car has bluetooth. Touchscreen is responsive and isnt slow however i would go to the settings and turn off the annoying sound it makes everytime you select something it will be under a setting called “reminder” didnt try maps on the road so cant comment on how quickly is sync before you need to turn however it synced contacts and everything fine. The body is made from cheap plastic so loses a star.
