i put this on at 6am, and it lasted until 5-6pm, without any more application! the best lip stain i’ve used yet. i got it in the shade ‘adore’.
The application for this can be a bit tricky at first. There is a knack to getting a lovely even colour. Once mastered the results are worth it. I have found the longer it is left on before wiping it off the richer the colour. If I want a slight stain then I take it off after a minute but for a more vibrant stain two to three minutes works best. I was ready to throw this in the bin at first but a few applications down the line I found out what the hype was about. Amazing product.
This just works for me, ok it’s a bit yuck to use but once you get over the blue lip thing the colour stays all day and I hate lipstick so this is my only lip makeup, I overline the lip just a touch and it gives me a fuller lip look without the smudge. I top up through the day with a bit of lip balm through the day and it looks great 🙂
I love and own almost all the wonderskin products so I highly recommend this.
My only complaint is that it’s not much in the tube for the price. Only used like 6 times and the tube is empty.
Other than that it’s my favourite out of all the other colours!
Really lovely colour, easy to use, and lasts really well. Removing the blue layer can be messy so make sure you do it by a sink! I did accidentally get a bit on my finger and didn’t realise so had a lovely lip pink splodge on my finger for a few hours, but once I got the hang of application it’s been really easy and I love it! It’s a new staple in my makeup bag.
This lip stain is absolutely perfect in my opinion. I got the shade Adore, which is a nice neutral pink that’s similar to my natural lip colour but more saturated. If I’m wearing “no makeup” in the summer, I’ll pop this on and some blush, and look sooo much more put together. I don’t find it to be drying at all – you can put vaseline or gloss over it, so I don’t see how that would be a problem. It stays on really well too. I do wish it didn’t go on blue, because sometimes I want to reapply in public lol but it’s so worth it. This has saved me time/effort in reapplying lipsticks etc. and I will continue to repurchase.
Ordered in ‘Lovely’ I found this colour to be true to the swatch pictures when used on my own lips- your own natural colour will affect the end result as this product stains rather than covers over your natural lip.
I put a generous, neat layer on and left it for about 1 minute. Initially it doesn’t look like there’s much colour payoff, but after another minute or two the stain really comes through and my lips looked a lovely, brown pink (my natural lip colour but deeper- exactly what I wanted). I’m not sure if this oxidises or something?
For me the product lasted all day, I would say about 8 hours. It did get a little paler on the middle of the lip while the outer lips ended up looking lined- I didn’t mind this in the shade I picked but might look a bit odd in less natural tones.
While I do love this product, it doesn’t last long. As in the volume of product. The stain itself doesn’t last all day but that’s fine. I don’t mind touching up because the end results look amazing. But I used this product a few times a week and it’s all dried up after 3 months. Most of my lip glosses can last 6-8 months. So for the price I’m disappointed. If you only wear lip colour occasionally this is worth it.
Was sceptical at first but once I’d used it I was impressed. Colour lasted up till lunchtime so say five hours. I’d drank, eaten and wiped my lips and the colour lasted. Not too overpowering. The blue coating is great to see where the colour goes and use a damp tissue to remove it. Expensive for what it is.
I wanted to try this for a while and I’m really glad I did. It is so simple to use and works really well. It stays put all day but will fade throughout the day and this varies depending on how much you eat and drink. It doesn’t even budge when you brush your teeth so I use a cleanser to remove it before bed. The only downside is trying to find the right shade as the examples shown on the website definitely do not match the colours when they arrive. My advice would be to read the colour description and go with that instead of the image. I have tried 5 shades so far – Romance, Xoxo, Charming, First Kiss, Bella and Neon Rose. I am very pale skinned with dark hair and all these shades suit me really well. I love them all but my favourite is Romance and I would recommend starting with that shade if you have a similar complexion and are unsure. It’s a deeper pinky red shade than the image and gives a lovely kick of colour. If you want something more subtle than go for Xoxo as this is more natural and I wear this for work. I would highly recommend trying this lip stain. I definitely won’t be going back to normal lipsticks.
It works wonders. There is a slight sensation upon application, but I wouldn’t describe it as burning or tingling – certainly not uncomfortable enough to make me stop using it. Lips feel slightly dry after wiping away the blue masque but nothing lip balm can’t cure!
I got the shade ‘whimsical’ and it’s perfect for a natural look with my pale skin. I only leave the masque on for about 30 seconds as it does produce a stronger colour the longer you leave it on.
It’s pricey but worth it in my opinion. No reapplication throughout the day needed, no smudging and brings my lips to life!
I highly recommend that you moisturise your lips and exfoliate them thoroughly before you try this product to get the best results, but the result is beautiful nonetheless.
I also recommend that you leave it on longer than they recommend and allow it to dry fully before wiping away for best results. I’ve been wearing it for 5 days now and I find it’s best to put it on before you do the rest of your makeup (I only do eyebrows and mascara) which allows enough time to dry.
It lasts all day, and sometimes all night too. I use the shade whimsical.
It’s my first lip I stain ever used, I found it quite pricey for the quality. It won’t last on my lips as long as I expected: up to 2-3 hours and makes my lips dry.
