This is the second one I’ve bought as had to send the first one back as there was a pulled thread. I received this on time and it was sent in the original packaging so you could see what you were buying….this was not a problem for me as I like the fact that less plastic is being used. The sheet itself is lovely and I am very impressed with the size of it, it really is big and could easily fit a king size bed. (My opinion) I have a double bed which has a thick mattress and is quite high. If you have a low bed this may be a problem if you don’t like your sheets tucked in. I would recommend buying as the price is very good for the quality
I almost bought king size because I like plenty to tuck in. So glad I didn’t. These are way big enough for a double bed. Some people found the stitchingvto be inferior. I didn’t find it so. They are a bit stiff on opening and really need to be washed before using them. I did this and they softened up a bit but the beauty of Egyptian cotton is they soften up with using and washing.. These sheets were bought for our main double bed, the size is generous which makes it easier when making the bed. We like a top and bottom sheet rather than just the douvet . They washed well and were easy to fold which is a bonus for me as I’m not very tall. They are also really comfortable against the skin.
I found it strange that there was no top hem and this just had minimal hems all round. So I had to turn one edge down a couple of inches before I felt I could just it. Luckily I’m capable of doing this as it would be strange without doing that.
I used this sheet on my Husband’s 4′ bed. I prefer to use a flat sheet rather than a fitted sheet. The quality of the sheet is very good. However the sizing, bearing in mind it’s supposed to be for a 4′ 6″ bed, falls short. The length is good but the width leaves very little material to tuck under mattress. If you turn the sheet whilst the width is good it doesn’t fit the length.
I was so surprised by the quality and feel of these flat sheets. Not really much you can say about a sheet, but these are thick, good quality, soft and wash well. Excellent value for the money.
