This latex balloon is best filled with air as the balloon is too heavy for helium , it is one seriously large balloon. I am using mine for a gothic photoshoot. It feels durable and that it will be thick enough to withstand the volume of air.
This is a huge balloon. It is a great novelty and my daughters have had great fun with it. It takes considerable effort to inflate. Eventually I resorted to using my air compressor to complete the operation. Great fun though!
This massive balloon is made from pure latex of high quality and is biodegradable so kinder on the environment.
It is definitely a showstopper when inflated to its full capacity but getting it inflated is quite tricky business and took a variety of different tools to do the job from an excercise ball pump to a bicycle pump and a hefty puff of air. I think for the price of this product, it wouldn’t have been unreasonable to include a special inflating device because this definitely isn’t your run of the mill balloon and normal rules don’t apply.
A tad whiffy but to be expected for the size and material used.
This is for the children to play with now, and maybe again at the time of a birthday or celebration.
The material seems well made, and is considerably thicker than other balloons I have seen, especially the spout which is maybe 3 times the thickness of the main balloon.
I suspect it will last longer than standard balloons, and it may even be able to be used on multiple occasions, if it is deflated and stored carefully.
It appears to be surrounded by a small amount of talc (to keep it from sticking to itself), which doesn’t taste very nice.
The inflated size of the balloon is listed as being 59 inches, which is 1.5 metres – about twice the width of the average door opening. If you inflate it inside the room, then make sure you can get it out !!
Actually, I ran out of balloon blower battery, and then ran out of puff myself when it was only half inflated (80cm). I put on a clip-it clamp overnight, and will continue blowing it up tomorrow.
I like it, but if I had one wish it would be that there were alternative colours available – such as red / green / blue. I don’t think this company provides alternative colours.
It is a high price to pay for a single balloon, so I hope it survives the trials & tribulations of rough play with my children. It also goes quite high into the sky with fairly soft pats, so I hope it doesn’t end up in nearby gardens or trees.
