ARCELI Wireless Controller for PS4 -Controller Wireless
ARCELI Wireless Controller for PS4 -Controller Wireless for PS4/Pro/Slim/PC, Bluetooth Gamepad Joystick with Dual Vibration Touch Panel 3.5mm Audio Jack Six-Axis Upgraded Ergonomic Controller(White)
Bought this to go with my Steam Deck when docked (or otherwise want remote controls) solely for that touch pad.
The touchpad feels a bit flakey sometimes but works for the most part. The controller as a whole is great (and that’s coming from someone who prefers the Xbox layout).
I don’t usually write reviews, but thought I would for this, as there were some hidden steps with setting up in my case that others who are struggling may find useful.
Following the instructions in the manual about connecting for the first time only got me partially there, as I had to press and hold down the centre circular button (in between the analog sticks) and the share button for several seconds to get paired up. Once connected, it still wasn’t working properly, so I needed to go into System Settings>Bluetooth>click on the ‘i’ icon next to the controller>click ‘Game Controller Settings’>click ‘Identify’ so the controller vibrates. Only after these steps did it work on my Mac.
In terms of the feel of the controller itself, it feels identical to my old PS4 controller. I can’t fault it in anyway here, the build quality is very good for a knock-off controller… probably because they’re all made in the same factory.
So far, so good! Just a bit finicky to get up and running.
As an 3rd party controller it’s pretty good.
No complaints at the minute.
Is almost identical to the Sony and has virtually the same size etc and this includes the light bar which was important as want to play PSVR 1 on my PS5.
All good so far.
Quickly despatched
Very light
Worked straight away no issues with pairing
All buttons seem to work
So what are you saying?
A cursory 2 week bedding in period is advisable I think
Initially the thumbsticks seem a bit coarser texture and after 20 minutes use I can feel the pressure on my thumbs more than normal
Maybe nothing but will advise
Cheers
