This is a brilliant adaptor that works perfectly with both a phone and laptop. I’ve had no trouble, the resolution is amazing and the quality is great. Would highly recommend!
Item arrived very well packed, so excellent start, perfect size and more important top quality looks and feels great , for the price can’t fault it, 10 out of 10 from me very happy indeed and would purchase agai
I have been using this for connecting my i7 MacBook Pro to a 27″ 4K display and to a lecture projection system, so I can’t comment on the 8K performance yet.
It has very good build quality. It is nice and compact, which is very convenient if you are giving presentations and you don’t want to be carrying around a full hub just for the HDMI output. The video output is good – I have experienced no issues at all as yet. It is expensive. If you don’t need the full resolution, it’s probably more cost effective to get a decent hub instead, but I guess it’s forward-looking to have an adapter that can provide that outlook – as long as it’s compatible with your computer.
This is a very solid, high-quality USB C to HDMI adapter. It works perfectly – I tested it with both laptop and phone and it performed flawlessly. However, you are paying a very high premium for the branding – there are other similar adapters available on Amazon for half the price. With this one, you’re pretty much guaranteed the quality but I’ve tested a few others that could easily give this a run for its money, so I’d advise shopping around before you make your choice.
Also important to note – if you’re using an M1 MacBook Pro and you’re looking for 4K @ 120Hz, please make sure you look up your computer’s specs carefully. I’ve seen reports that the M1 can’t display 120Hz over HDMI and you’d need a USB C to DisplayPort connector. I can’t verify this myself, but it did come up when I was reading up about this adapter so I thought it’d be good for Mac owners to be aware of.
Belkin’s presentation of this HDMI adapter is first class. It works a treat for us. Has compatibility with most of the popular video formats, such as HDCP, so protected media from the likes of Netflix can be displayed. The cable is on the short side, though that is merely an observation, not a complaint.
If you have a USB-C socket and no HDMI and need HDMI, then I can recommend this adapter.
The Belkin USB Type C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter is a great quality cable that has improved my media experience. The adapter is easy to use. You just simply plug and play, and the 4.33 inch cable ensures that it doesn’t get in the way. The picture quality is superb. It supports up to 8K at 60Hz, and 4K at 144Hz with HDR, HBR3, DSC, and HDCP 2.2. I have used this adapter with my Chromebook, MacBook, and iPad Pro and it works flawlessly with all of them. The fact that it is USB-IF certified is an added bonus, ensuring that it meets high standards for quality and safety. Overall, I would highly recommend the Belkin USB Type C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter to anyone looking for a high-quality adapter for their USB C devices.
Works perfectly, connect usb to hdmi adapter, up to 8k resolution , Get high-performance display quality with support for 8K at 60hz or 4K at 144Hz for crisp
and clear picture and beautiful, vivid colors. Durable cable material.
This HDMI adapter comes in a retail cardboard box and inside you’ll find the adapter. The adapter is lightweight and has a USB-C connection which it converts to a HDMI port. The HDMI port is version 2.1 so supports 8k resolution at 60Hz which is quite impressive for an adapter.
It is a plug and play device so you only need to plug it into a USB-C port on your device and attach a HDMI cable to this adapter and to your TV. I’ve been using it with my Steam Deck and it’s displayed on my TV at 4k/60 which is the maximum resolution and refresh rate my TV can do. Gameplay was smooth with no artifacts or picture corruptions evident and was an enjoyable experience. I only had to plug it in, and it displayed correctly on my TV.
This is the first adapter of its kind that I’ve seen support 8k/60Hz and it works flawlessly in my testing.
The big headline for this adapter is HDMI 2.1. The .1 part is the key bit, because 2.1 is actually quite a big update over 2.0. It brings in potential uses around 8k screens. However, I don’t have an 8k screen; so can’t test that functionality. Seems fine for my ‘normal’ 4k use at lower resolutions. Though I’m not outputting at 120hz, and other reviews seem to indicate that this has problems with M1 Macs running even 4k at 120 (let alone 8k). So, maybe be a little careful if you do need those. Regardless, rather expensive for an adapter.
I’ve tried a few devices that I had laying around and none of them allowed me to plug into a large screen and stream from my Netflix account whilst travelling … until this arrived. Worked fine without issue. For that reason alone I’m giving it 4 stars.
Fairly well made, small, unobtrusive device.
