In Jamaica in 1976, singer Bob Marley is about to put on a peace concert with the country on the verge of Civil War. Based on a true story this is a moving if familiar biopic with an excellent performance from Kingsley Ben Adir as Bob Marley and good supporting performances from Lashana Lynch, James Norton and Tosin Cole. The music is good too and should please Bob Marley fans.
I loved this film, didn’t get a chance to see it at the cinema sadly, but that didn’t really bother me that much. I really enjoyed the film regardless. Looking forward to adding this steelbook to my already vast collection of steelbooks. I have always loved Bob Marley’s music, it’s a shame I was born two years after he died, I’d love to have had the chance to see him live.
Found it interesting but I was finding it difficult to follow, so had to resort to subtitles. It helped me make sense of songs I have been listening to for years.
I too went to see it in the cinema, but not knowing much about Bob Marley. I found it fascinating that he was so much more than what was expected of him. Think that’s about it.
Thanks Bob.
