The cable gave me similar speeds to my cat 6 cable. It only boosted it by around 20mbps, however it did lower my ping by 10ms which is the main thing I like about it. It is 3m in size as advertised. However this was cheaper than my cat 6 cable so I recommend this over a cat 6 cable.

I needed to move my router to a more central location in the house, but still needed a network cable into the living room (due to too many brick walls). This cable was perfect and tucked away neatly behind skirting boards.

Used to provide direct link between BT broadband router & gaming computer. Easy to install, with no issues plugging or unplugging ends, and absolutely no loss of broadband performance. My son is very happy with the performance, & it doesn’t look bad either.

Got two of these cables ran outside to another room to avoid drilling holes as of yet. So far had no problems, easily satisfying my setup, with over 1GB of bandwidth at a time.

Bought 2 of these cables, one 15m and one 10m. Tested them first before fitting them properly and had no loss of speed so decided to fit them properly into the loft. Tested speeds again and there no loss of speed at all. Original router is approx 930 download, and after fitting the 15m cable it’s still 930.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant cable. Did not loose any speed from the original route

We had a 2Gbps Line installed yesterday, however the router was in a bad position. So I laid this cable (20m) through the floor and we are receiving speeds of avg 1.3gbps down 950 up. I’d imagine this will increase over time as it warms up so to speak, and also is being limited by my amazon basics 1gbps usb C to ethernet adaptor.

If your using any connection over 1gbps make sure you use the right cables and ports on your router. Most high end routers will only have one 2.5gbps port. If you need more you can buy something like the Zyxel MG-105. This will give you 4 2.5 gbps ports (since one will be used for uplink to the router). But do remember there’s only so much bandwidth your ISP will provide, but if your not using all of the devices at the same time it won’t be a problem.

If your getting full fibre you will get installed either an openreach box or another brand where the fibre line terminates, there will be an RJ45 port (ethernet port) on that box, ignore the red cable and you can connect this cable (or another cat 8 cable) to either the 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps port depending on the provider, and then connect that to your router. If using a switch like the Zyxel then use a CAT 8 cable again if its 2.5Gbps.

Local link speed will depend on the router, not the cable.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good

The cable is well made and works effectively. Speed seems good and removes the need for a mains based ethernet connection and is more reliable. Not quite as thin as I would have liked (but I suppose if it was thinner, it would not perform so well). I have run it under a carpet and it is slightly visible but is just about ok. A good product at a far price

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis cable outer is made from a very smooth and extremely pliable material. There’s no need for cable clips. The best way to put it is, this cable is similar to a pipe cleaner, meaning it can be bent round a corner or Flush to a surface with ease. All I’ve done is put 3 mini double sided pads on the back of cable and it’s stuck to the wall lovely. Also, as you can see by the photo the cable can be bent round a 90 degree bend with ease. I like the fact this cable is so thin, not bulky like other brands. Since I’ve installed the cable I’ve noticed my computer seems to run a bit faster when on the web or even in the cloud. I have to highly recommend this product. I can’t think of a negative thing to say. It’s nicely priced too. Not the cheapest, but by far not the dearest.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy…
