These workout wrist straps are comfortable to use and provide extra grip to the bar or dumbbell. They are good quality and shouldn’t tear easily. They can work across various equipment types and provides extra help in lifting. Would recommend to gym/workout users!

Pair of wrist straps for weightlifting and working out. Two layers of leather give soft yet strong support. Helping to protect your palms from blisters and calluses. Less abrasive than webbing style straps and less slippy than rubber/silicone. Wrists are protected with the velcro adjustable straps. Slightly expensive at over 20, but the leather should last a long time.

The product is definitely built to last and as soon as you open them you can tell they are well made. The wrist strap fits well and feels very secure around your wrist and the Velcro secures them in place perfectly.

The actual strap across your hand works really well on my weights bar and makes me feel like I have much better control over the bar compared to when I am not using them. I am new to lifting weights at home and have found these to be the perfect accompaniment to my weights in the garage. They are really easy to use and look great so I would highly recommend this product.

Disclosure. This is a review of a product I was sent for free via Vine. All opinions are my own.

I’ve seen other people using wrist straps at the gym when weight-lifting and thought that a pair would be a useful addition to my own gym kit.

I chose rose red, but they come in a range of other colours too.

When I opened the box, I had no idea how to put them on, but luckily an information leaflet had been included. I was surprised that it started by explaining one was labelled L for left and the other R for right, as even after using them several times, I still can’t notice any difference between them.

The instructions were quite straight-forward to follow as regards creating the wrist loops and I’ve found it simplest just to loosen the velcro a bit when I take them off, but leave them looped.

When you wear them the long leather suede flap hangs over your palm and fingers so that you can grip the bar of the weight with the leather rather than your skin for comfort. I also found they were ideal for gripping battle ropes too. No blisters any more. There was extra padding at the finger end on the leather and also around the wrist.

And if you’re swapping quickly back and forth between weights and other pieces of equipment, I found it simplest to keep them on, as you can still grip handles of other equipment with them too. And they help on some types of equipment like pull-ups. Although best to slip them off if you’re going to use a different type of equipment like cycling or rowing for a significant duration.

I did notice that the product listing shows two different methods of wearing depending on how you are holding a weight. It is a pity that this information is not included on the instruction leaflet.

12.59 seems a good price to me, although I haven’t compared.

However as a newbie to wrist straps, I did find the bodybuilder image portrayed on the box rather off-putting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for weights and battle ropes

    COFIT Wrist Straps for Weightlifting.

1 pair of leather hand guards for weightlifting.

    Pink / purple in colour.

Wrist strapping stumped me to start with but eventually worked out how to strap it on.

Thick pad wear it is needed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful handguards

I have soft hands so have used these for assistance when doing pullups.

Hold up well and have saved my hands from those manly awful blisters when a fat man is trying to pull himself up.

A bit fiddly to put on and while they are very good, especially if like me you have arthritis in your wrist/thumb, I have to take off my fitness watch to use them. That’s really annoying as I use it to track everything I do. They are good quality though and a nice colour. Look good on your wrists (I can see real gym enthusiasts rolling their eyes). A nice present for your gym buddy.

I’ve just started to lift some weights, do a bit of rowing and other gym fitness, but I have very tender skin on my hands which blisters if I just look at it (well, almost) — so I had to find something to protect my hands and these wrist straps seem to be just the ticket. The leather layer feels very protective, but doesn’t stop me finding a good grip, and I’m hoping it will be long lasting. Also, I find these easy to put on and take off with the velcro fastening. All in all, good value.

The dual-layer Oxford leather construction is top-notch. The materials feel durable and sturdy, offering excellent support during heavy lifts like deadlifts and dumbbell exercises. The straps provide a secure grip, which has significantly improved my performance and confidence while lifting heavier weights. The enhanced grip feature is a game-changer. The straps wrap around the bar tightly, giving me a firm hold and reducing the strain on my wrists and hands. This allows me to focus on my form and lift heavier without worrying about losing my grip.
The wrist protection is also excellent. The straps provide just the right amount of support to prevent wrist strain and injury, making them ideal for both beginners and experienced lifters. The added support has made a noticeable difference in my comfort during intense workouts. The rose red color is vibrant and stylish, adding a pop of color to my gym gear. It’s great to have functional equipment that also looks good, and these straps certainly stand out in the best way. The fit is perfect, and the adjustable design ensures that they stay securely in place throughout my workout. They are easy to put on and take off, and the quality construction means they will last through countless sessions.

I got these because I needed some extra wrist support when weight training, however, I didn’t realise they had an extra flap of fabric which makes it very hard to wear gloves at the same time. Also the instructions were useless, but it was easy enough to figure out how to wear them. Whilst I found that they do provide a decent amount of wrist support, I like to wear gloves so they didn’t work that well for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Didn’t work well for me

Having recently started getting back into the gym, whilst also getting a bit more serious about lifting, I had been looking at picking up my first set of wrist straps.

Wrist straps offer protection for your hands and also improve your grip of the bar which hypothetically should help you for longer and possibly lift more!

After having a look into some reasonably priced options out there, I was drawn to these straps due to the range of colours offered. I opted for the blue and these really look fantastic in person. I was initially worried the colour would easily fade but I haven’t noticed any fading whatsoever.

The velcro strap holds incredibly well and makes these a breeze to put on and tighten on the fly.

Being completely new to straps I was a bit lost with how to correctly wear/fit these so it was a little bit disappointing to not have a basic instruction sheet included. However, a quick look at the product page gave me all the answers I needed.

Now, the main thing, do these work as described? Absolutely! Even on my first wear I immediately noticed at how much better my grip felt on the deadlift bar. I don’t think I fully appreciated how my grip was impacting my workout until I wore these!

I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to improve their workout performance.

These appear to be well made, with good padding. Definitely helps keep a grip on the bars when your hands get damp. I have very small wrists (16cm) and these fitted well. They take a bit of getting used to, but well worth the effort.

I thought I’d try these straps to provide additional support / grip while weightlifting, instead of the old school strips of fabric type straps. The leather flap is longer than expected but I suspect that’s mainly due to small hands. That being said they seem to be of great quality and I have no doubt they will last for a long time.

The velcro adjustment also makes it really easy to secure the wraps in place and provides the necessary hand protection to prevent blisters/calluses. The straps are also very flexible so do not get in the way of any movements, allowing you to continue with your workout with ease.

They’re much quicker to wrap around the bar compared to the long ones that take multiple wraps, I manage to get these wrapped and ready to go in seconds. They make dropping the weight easier too if you’re a fan of dropping weights from a height… A little weight at the bottom of the flap helps you get the flap around the bar a little easier.

Overall, very happy with the product and pretty good for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for grip, better than the old-school long wraps

I got these for free weight sessions in the gym. I had used gloves before so I thought I would give these a try. They come in several colours and all of the same design and are actually really well made. Bare in mind these are straps not gloves so need to be placed correctly before using them after they are properly fitted to the wrist (instructions are good). You do get extra grip and I would think with long term use they will stop callouses and even rings getting scratched by the textures on weight bars. The adjustment isn’t as convenient but they are worth a try!

I’ve started weight training recently and lifting dumbbells which has made my hands hurt. I got these to see if they’d help. They fit well on my wrists (I have small wrists) and feel secure. It takes a bit of getting used to using the tongue part, and for a while it felt weird but I’m getting used to it. The only thing I find is that for thick dumbbells it doesn’t feel as comfortable. Very good for the barbell and metal dumbbells I have though.

The COFIT Wrist Straps are a fantastic addition to my workout gear. The dual-layer Oxford leather provides exceptional durability and grip, which is perfect for heavy lifting and deadlifts. They offer excellent hand and wrist support, significantly reducing strain during intense workouts. The red color adds a stylish touch, and the straps are comfortable to wear, even during prolonged use. They adjust easily and stay securely in place. Overall, these wrist wraps are highly effective and well-constructed, making them a great investment for serious weightlifters and fitness enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

This is a nice robust pair of lifting straps that are solidly made from quality materials. The wrist strap is very comfortable and easily adjustable. It has a good amount of length so should be ideal for any sized wrist. The thick leather strap is very good at protecting the palms and fingers and avoiding callouses. Having the small padded area at the end is a good addition and really helps.

With the strap loose it took a little getting used to at first but I soon got to grips (excuse the pun) with how to use it and I think the leather also developed a bit of a memory for the shape it had acquired. The only downside concerns the dye used for the leather strap which has a tendency to run a little and mark the white logo on the wrist cuff. This may be more noticeable because the straps on the pair I ordered is a bright red. Not a big thing but worth mentioning I thought.

    Recommended.

I’ve only used these a couple of times and it did take me a while to get used to how to put them on but once on, they are very comfy and nice and sturdy and definitely make deadlifts that little bit easier. Good straps and glad I’ve got them.

    No more!

I love them! Honestly don’t know why more people have not bought these straps! They really help you lift more weight and protect your hand as well.

Easy to use, (comes with some simple instructions if you’re confused on how to wear them), and also comes with a little L and R on the inside of each strap (left hand and right hand). Looks and feels very sturdy and durable. The material looks very high quality and the product looks exactly like the picture! Would highly recommend!

These ‘COFIT Wrist Straps for Weightlifting’ have seriously helped me improve my lifts and the amount I can lift! The difficulty in holding the bar has practically gone, they have stopped it from tearing my little hands as they provide a barrier between my hands and the bar.

The material seems to be top quality! Comparing these to my old straps, they fully out shine them, I won’t be going back.

My foray into weightlifting has led me to try various wrist straps, and these have caught my attention for their robust build and comfort. The dual-layer leather not only ensures durability but also softens nicely with use, offering an improved grip over time. The additional wrist support has been a boon, noticeably reducing discomfort during heavier lifts. While they’ve been a solid part of my regimen, a touch more flexibility would elevate them to perfection. For enthusiasts looking to protect their hands and wrists, these straps are a sound choice.

Got these as I was starting to develop some pretty gnarly calluses on my palms/fingers. They fit comfortably (the wrist band is nice, thick and sturdy), and the material on the gripping portion feels good against the hand (though I don’t know how long they’re going to hold up). It’s definitely had a positive effect on the hand parts under the most pressure during lifting.

My biggest complaint the sweat, my wrists are soaked with sweat by the time I’m done. This may be an acceptable trade-off for some but honestly it’s not worth the trouble to me. It’s become just another thing to fiddle with before work-outs when I just want to get to it.

I think this product would be very useful to some but it’s not quite for me!

4.0 out of 5 stars A little comfort on the hand for a ton of sweat on the wris

Previously I have been using the wrap around wrist straps, which are quite fiddly trying to fasten the second hand, once you have fastened your first! So when I saw these I thought they looked a much better design that would be good to try.

The main reason for using any kind of strap is to give you better stamina when pulling down or lifting bar type weights and machines, as often your grip gives up before your arm muscles! Plus it helps to protect your hands from abrasion.

First impressions were that these were well made, and use quality materials, unlike many other of this type. The Leather is real and has a nice smell to it, and is also nice and thick, so it will wear well and last a long time without splitting or tearing. The Velcro pad area is also large and sticky together very well, meaning a secure fit.

On first use it took me a couple of minutes to work out how to attach them to my wrist, as it wasn’t immediately apparently, not having used the type before, but a quick look at the pictures made it quickly obvious, simply wrap around your wrist then secure with the Velcro, and once on they felt snug. I’ve been using them for a couple of weeks now and would be unlikely to go back to using my previous type of strap now that I have these.

The only thing I have found is that the grip bulge at the front on the leather is a bit too long for thin bars/machines, but for thicker bench bars it is a perfect fit, but its not a big deal as the leather still gives you a better grip, and protects your hands.

Overall highly recommended to give a better grip/stamina and protect your hands, and should last a long time, even with regular usage.

These are really well made, they are very comfortable to wear, they look great and I will happily use these going forward for exercises that do not use a barbell, so for dumbbell lifts, and pull-ups and chin-ups. The reason I say I will not use for barbell exercises, deadlifts as an example, is because whilst they definitely improve your grip, massively so compared to bare hand or just a pair of lifting gloves, they do not give anywhere near the support that lifting straps or figure 8 straps do for these heavy lifts.

What I really like about these is the quality of the different materials used from the black neoprene type wrist guard to the black durable material wrist strap to the velcro patches to the metal hook for threading the wrist strap through to the leather lifting strap — all high quality. Also the stitching looks very good and like it will stand the test of time well.

Each strap has a L and a R label to help you easily identify what arm to fit them. Please refer to photos included with this review to see how to wear and use these straps.

I do recommend these but as already mentioned if you are used to normal lifting straps or figure 8 straps and are considering these for big heavy liftsif your grip is the weakest part of your big lifts then prepare to be humbled by using these for those! May not be a bad thing though as will help grip strength improve. For me the sweet spot with these is how comfortable they are and how quick it is to set them in place on equipment and use them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made, very comfortable, quick to attach to equipment, look grea
