TLDR: Heavy and very solid build, great sound out of the box, easy to swap key switches, works great with medium profile height keycaps, no legs to raise the keyboard. Awesome for the price!
I previously used other “High-end” keyboards from other brands, Leopold and Ducky to name a couple. Not the crazy high end but significantly better than most mechanical keyboards you get from the bigger names. It had been a couple of years since I had decided to get a new keyboard and the keyboard I was using suddenly began having connection issues, so it pushed me to look around. I wanted to go with a TKL (80%) keyboard versus the full 100% keyboard, and I also wanted the ability go wired or wireless. FWIW, i use the ten key all the time for work but I use my desk at home for both personal and work, so I wanted the ability to move the ten key out of the way.
After some research, I settled on the Galaxy80, due to the price, features and good reviews from various youtubers. The fact that its hotswapable was also a perk, since i generally like quieter switches. My out of box experience with the Galaxy80 was beyond my expectations for at 90-100 dollar keyboard. It felt great out of the box, this thing is HEAVY, and feels great. While I prefer quieter switches, the sound of the Epomaker Marble White switches was pleasant, setup was easy (wired plug and play or bluetooth, i haven’t used the 2.4ghz portion).
After a day or two of using it as it was out of box, I decided I didn’t like the loudness of the keyboard and swapped them out for my lubed silent switches. Very easy to swap out, and ultimately I found that the keycaps I had on my previous keyboard were also quieter than the keycaps that came with the keyboard.
So while i’ve swapped the key switches and caps to something different, i can say that the typing experience on this is so much better than I could have expected, and got me a true ‘custom’ keyboard feeling that I didn’t think i would have gotten from a pre-built keyboard.
The only complaint I have regarding this keyboard is that when the battery gets low enough to need a charge, this goes from working great to doing some funky connection issues, and with no app to run on your PC to tell you the keyboard is low on power, it seemed like it was having an issue when all it needed was a charge up.
I definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone that likes a louder keyboard, or for those that aren’t afraid to swap out switches and keycaps to get a very inexpensive option to a very great keyboard.
The quality for the price is amazing. Switches feels lubed and sounds clacky like marble. Its nice and heavy with a metal body. Stabilizers feels lubed and sounds fine with no rattle. Keycaps feel and look great, saves you money as you wont need to buy a separate set, but if you want the RGB to really stand out, you might want to buy pudding keycaps. If you want a hot-swappable TKL keyboard without purchasing additional mods, this is the one The usb-c cable is something I would want to replace from this keyboard, as the one that comes with it isnt braided and a little on the shorter side. If you really want to mod this keyboard, the only thing you really need is painters tape for different types of tape mods, and lube.
This keyboard feels so nice to type with! The customisable RGB lighting and different patterns also add a nice touch for aesthetics. There is an app to adjust the lighting (can also do it with keyboard shortcuts, but it is less straightforward). One downside of the app is that it only recognises the keyboard when it’s connected via the cable and not the other methods. Other than that, works great!
I recommended it if you are looking for a (rather) budget keyboard that has a creamy sound and a good mechanical feel to it.
You definitely get what you pay for with this keyboard. The price of this keyboard to what you get feel like a steal. The feel of the keyboard stock is very nice and smooth with nice creamy linear clicks. Build quality is very good there’s just one tiny issue for me. The keyboard sounds great but its just a little too noisy for me. Compared to the other keyboards they clicks are picked up on my microphone a lot more often which may be an issue for streamers or a small annoyance to your friends in discord.
It sounds amazing, it feels amazing, it looks amazing. Wide wide variety of RGB more then 18 because you can change colour with each setting aswell, looks clean feels clean super heavy and good quality. Can’t wait to make more memories with this.
Overall an amazing keyboard. The switching between various bluetooth radio connection is seemless. The typing experience is pretty phenomenal ( my first mechanical keyboard ). The backlight options are also funky and loads of different choices. I really love the colour combination of the keys and overall keyboard. The keyboard is sturdy. The cable it comes with is basic so i got the epomaker aviator style cable to charge or connect whilst its charging. The charge doesn’t last long though.
Fantastic keyboard.
This keyboard is a dream to type on! The sturdy aluminum build feels premium, and the gasket structure provides a comfortable, responsive typing experience. I love the customizable RGB lights and the versatile connectivity options. A fantastic choice for gamers and typists alike.
Good quality mechanical keyboard. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now after using a standard type and I’m really impressed. The keys are very responsive and just feel nice.
Connectivity is really good and easy to set up.
Overall build quality is really good, it’s feels premium
The tactile experience of this keyboard has transformed my daily typing from a mundane task to something I genuinely enjoy. The build quality is exceptional, with a robust aluminum frame that feels solid under the fingers. The compact layout is perfect for my limited desk space, without sacrificing any necessary functionality. The innovative design provides a satisfying typing experience, whether I’m gaming or tackling work projects. The sound quality of the keystrokes is also a notable feature, adding to the overall pleasant use. It’s been a reliable and enjoyable addition to my setup.
Firstly, I have been using this keyboard for both gaming and work and it has worked well for both. The keyboard build feels sturdy and of high quality and using the keyboard for a long period of time still feels comfortable. Typing is also comfortable and the battery life when using it wirelessly is very long. All in all a compact and comfortable keyboard which is comfortable to use and I like the added LED light.
So all in all this is a really nice package, especially when you take the price into consideration.
Aesthetically it’s very pleasing and there’s some really nice colourways to choose from. The board also has a really nice sound out of the box completely stock and if you were willing to put in the time you can take that even further with lubing the switches and something as simple as the tape mod on the back of the PCB, it’s a really nice board for someone new to the modding scene and a really great starting point.
The keycaps are nice they have a nice easily legible font and feel nice and smooth to type on.
I have no issues with the Bluetooth however I have had some issues with the 2.4 connectivity but I’m just as willing to put that down to something on my end as every other review I’ve read hasn’t mentioned it.
This board at its price point completely invalidates options from the likes of Corsair and Razer who will charge a pretty premium, almost two to three times this price point for a board that sounds and feels nowhere near as nice.
All in all this is a fantastic board for someone just starting out in the keyboard hobby, an amazing board for its price point and I could only give it the healthiest of recommendations.
The EPOMAKER x Feker Galaxy80 mechanical keyboard stands apart even before you open the box. You can feel the heft; it weights over 1.5kg. The weight and four grippy rubber feet hold it in place; even when you get a surprise. It’s a combi keyboard; with a usb-a (I mean really in 2024 usb-a) 2.4GHz adaptor, Bluetooth, and USB-C cable connection as options. When not in use the usb-a adaptor hides behind a panel on the front of the keyboard — it was supplied sealed with Sellotape, there is a weak magnet that tries to hold it in place, and I ended up putting tape back over it to hold it shut. I kept knocking it off when using the cursor keys. There are two switches on the back; one to power it on and one to switch between Bluetooth and dongle mode. I used the cable rather than using it wirelessly.
The LED lighting in the keyboard Is excellent; out of the box it strobed colours across the keys from left to right. The keyboard supports windows, mac/ iOS and by flipping a switch on the back of the keyboard you can change the settings. Installing Epomaker driver software lets you manage the led colours scheme and assign macros. It’s easy to setup colours if you like keys highlighted for a given game; or have it light up the key you are pressing when you type if you want a minimal mode.
The keys themselves are full size, have a lovely smooth action and a quieter deeper click than traditional mechanical keyboards. If you don’t like short travel laptop keyboards for typing on; the cm keyboard travel along with the buttery smooth action makes this a fantastic keyboard for general typing. For gaming the excellent keyboard action makes it clear when you have pressed the key.
I have tried a lot of gaming keyboards; and the metal build, heft and the excellent keys made this my daily driver for coding as well as playing games.
First of your after a gaming keyboard that you also want to lug around then be warned this is one heavy beast and solidly built to boot. It really is an engineering marvel as soon as you pick
It up you know it’s not a cheap flimsy product. Yes it’s a shame the keys are not opaque-then again just fit your own if you want that. It would be nice to have a caps and number lock indicator elsewhere but other than that the keyboard is superb. The key press is solid yet ‘creamy’ for want of a better word. Not clacky or distracting with no reverb from the keystroke. The lighting is good and not overpowering due to the solid keys preventing any glare

For 105.99 ( at the time of review ) this is a great compact, wireless keyboard ideal for perople that require a small keyboard but that is big on features.
The first thing you will notice is the weight, at a little over 2kg for this compact ( 80% ) keyboard it took me a bit by surprise.
That is not a negative thing, the chasis is a very robust aluminimum alloy affair with no flex as far as I could tell. You also get a 4000 mAh battery that should keep you going for quite a while. I’ve only had it 5 days and it is still running off whatever charge it was supplied with.
What really stands out to me is the quality of the keys ( you get two spares as well ). Not only do they have a very pleasant tactile feel but also a reasuring sound without being noisy. That combined with the slight angle makes for an extremely enjoyable keyboard to work with.
On the back is a USB C connection to charge the keyboard, so use as a wired connection if you prefer. Also a switch to select either Windows or Mac.
The RGB backlights work well with a few options.
Overall very impressed with it and if space is an issue for you this would make a good solution.
