This super convenient meat thermometer is extremely resilient. I always find it hard to believe that sensitive electronic components with plastic parts can stand up to the temperatures of ovens and barbecues. But this product seems to have taken no damage whatsoever.

It works well from a pretty decent range, so you can be all over the place, not just in the garden, with the barbecue or in the kitchen with the oven, but relaxing in a different part of the home. It has lots of useful features which make this not only a good way to sense temperature and check the doneness of the food, but over time, it can really revolutionise the way that you cook.

I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is serious about cooking meat to perfection. It’s good quality comes with a solid dock, making it very convenient, and it will probably last a very long time.

This wireless Bluetooth meat thermometer is a great gadget to have in the kitchen or anywhere else you decide to cook. This smart probe can be used in the air fryer, oven, BBQ and much more. It arrives very nicely packaged so would be a great gift for the cook in the home.

You receive the charging base, wireless thermometer probe, manual and USB-C charging cable, the manual is very easy to follow and the free Probe Plus App is very easy to pair and use. The app has pre-sets for different types of meat with recommended cooking temperatures, this means you should get great results every time. You can also customise the settings to your own personalised choices. You can also check on the cooking progress in the app, which shows you the internal temperature, target temperature and cooking time. You will get an app alert once the cooking is finished, which means you don’t constantly need to be checking on it.

I have used this in the oven and air fryer so far on different meats and have seen great results, from a tender beef joint to delicious lamb steaks. I think this will soon become one of the most used items in our kitchen. The probe is made from stainless steel and is waterproof so is very easy to clean. The Bluetooth range is 150 metres which is amazing, battery life is stated to be 20-24 hours for the probe and up to 300 hours for the charging base, this is after 3-4 hours charging for the base and 30-40 minutes for the probe. The probe simply sits in the base for charging. The base has a low battery indicator and is magnetic, which I think is a useful feature, you must make sure it’s at least 1 foot away from your cooking appliance to avoid potential heat damage.

Overall, I think that this wireless probe is an amazing thing to have in the kitchen, the app is well designed and simple to use and there are good options to choose from for different meats. I have seen probes much more expensive than this with less functionality so think that it is very well priced at 31.99 at time of review (May 2024) and would recommend it. We are looking forward to trying it out on the BBQ during the Summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant wireless Bluetooth meat thermometer, easy to use

The first time I used it was for the Easter leg of lamb. It was a big joint of meat and although you can do the usual calculations based on weight I always struggled to get it just as I want it, especially as my oven is a bit variable. It was easy to setup the App which I found easy to use and also great to look at. You need to make sure that the probe is deep enough in the meat (I still don’t get how this can work in an oven). The sensor has a good rage of connectivity and I had no trouble connecting until I covered it in foil. I got the connection back after pushing the tip back through the foil. The result was a perfectly cooked leg of lamb exactly as we wanted it.

Used this for making Steaks and Lamb roast so far. Outside of using my sous vide, this cooked the steak to PERFECTION!! I like a blue and my partner a medium – rare. This probe allowed us to ensure both steak were cooked EXACTLY how we wanted.

The lamb roast we made using this was the most tender and delicious I have had, maintaining full flavour and moistness without drying out the meat!!

Very pleased to have got this, as I was about o lump out 100+ to by the METETOR but this does the job just as well!

I review for Amazon so did not pay for this item.
The product comes in a nice box, which makes it a good gift option (not everything does!!).

I made use of this for oven cooking joints indoors in an oven, in my testing with an iPhone 14. The app was simple enough (IoS called ‘Probe Plus’ search for id6449171085 in your search engine of choice)
It’s got a simple enough interface which didn’t cause any issues.
It gave a temperature graph in the app which was good. It was pretty intuitive to use.
I found that the range was limited, I couldn’t connect to it from upstairs for example through the brickwork. My oven has a glass front, if you have metal you’ve got a more difficult environment for radio waves to escape from.

    Positives:
Good manual with QR codes to get to the apps.
    Simple to use App
Nice dock and lights to give battery read-outs (well done)
    Good price-point

    Criticisms/Risks;
The ‘dock’ which has its own battery doesn’t hold a charge long-term (~2 weeks) so you’ll have to charge it occasionally or leave it plugged in or maybe a timer; these sorts of devices fail once the batteries are dead.
Relying on apps means your developer has to keep up with the Apple development process, and wouldn’t be a risk with a dedicated display, so in 10 years there may not be an app you can use, or keep your old phone on the old software for such things.

It’s good value for money I’d say (29.99) at the time, and does a good job of getting your information. Given 4 stars due to the battery tendering needed (could have used AAs for future servicing for example) and there’s no real guidance for what and how you could do BBQ stuff in the app, which you’d get with a more developed ecosystem, but hey, it’s 30 for a remote monitoring thermometer. I’d recommend it.
Looking forward to the summer when we can use it in its intended BBQ setting!

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice set, good prce point, easy to use, bring on the summer!

Probe & Base: A neat little probe attaches to the base station for charging, then you detach it and insert it into meat / product, the instructions say it must be inserted up to a marker line to prevent damage, the line is around 7cm from the tip, so it may not be suitable for smaller cuts or for larger cuts where you may not be able to get it deep enough to read the temperature in the centre. The base station is charged via a USB-C port and acts as the communications relay between the probe and the mobile phone. I have so far only used this in the kitchen oven, I used the handy magnetic base of the station to attach to my extractor hood and it communicated effortlessly with the probe inside the oven (which is impressive as I thought the oven would act as a Faraday cage and block the signal).
The App: The app has lots of pre-sets for different meats at different levels (rareness – with the default being the recommended US FDA temperature), as well as custom programming, programable timer and customisable alerts. It has a graph to show the gradient of how the cooking went and you can save the record of your cooking (not sure how those two functions would be of much use). The app is intuitive to use and pairs very simply with the base. The app does give some messages in Chinese and the required permissions are too aggressive, it needs your location permission or it will not work.
Overall: Sturdy and well put together. I tested the accuracy against a trusty digital Comark probe (I use for steaks, etc in a pan) and against a generic digital meat thermometer with a probe that’s physically connected via a braided stainless steel cable (which was my go to oven thermometer). I boiled water in a jug and immersed each probe to the same depth, the Fezori read 1C above the Comark PDQ400 and 1C below the generic so the accuracy is perfectly acceptable. Value for money is reasonable as this comes in at around the same price as the far less advanced Comark.
Verdict: If you don’t have a smart phone or you are paranoid about privacy then this is not for you, but, if you want a versatile, accurate and technologically advanced cooking thermometer then I’d certainly recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reasonably accurate, magnetic base station, only works with app.

The Fezori thermometer is a good value bluetooth meat probe. It’s well made and has a nice design. It comes with a magnetic repeater signal booster, the probe and a USB C charging cable.

The meat probe requires a Bluetooth connection and an app that can be downloaded from the Apple or Play store. The app is easy to use and works well. The readings only take a few seconds and seem accurate compared to other meat thermometers I also own. An alert can be set so it goes off when the set temperature has been reached.

The probe is waterproof and easy to wash. The base is magnetic and can be attached to a fridge or oven. I love that I don’t have to constantly check the temperature of the meat and can almost forget about it while it’s cooking as the probe does the hard work.

The probe is currently priced at 29.99 which is a steal compared to other brands. This meat probe would make a great present for BBQ lovers too. Recommended.

This bluetooth meat thermometer is really useful for checking the temperature of your meats to make sure you can easily get it to the desired (and safe) temperature.

The app is really quick and easy to set up, and intuitive to use. It has different settings for each type of meat, and you can adjust your temperature preferences and create custom settings. It includes the recommended temperatures for each type as well. Once you set your desired temperature, the app will give you an alert once the thermometer reaches that temp. Meaning you don’t have to keep opening the grill/oven to check the temperature and can step away – great for if you’re entertaining, so you’re not stuck glued to the cooker the whole time.

It is really useful and it works great, but it is very pricey and a non-bluetooth enabled thermometer will do the same job, it’s just slightly less convenient. It makes a great gift for the BBQer in your life who has everything!

he Fezori Wireless Meat Thermometer stands out with its wireless Bluetooth connectivity, offering a 150m range for versatile cooking applications such as BBQ, oven, rotisserie, smoker, and air fryer. The smart app control enhances user convenience, providing real-time temperature monitoring. While its adaptability and features make it a neat culinary tool, the product’s downside lies in its relatively high price. The Fezori Thermometer is a premium investment, potentially limiting its appeal to budget-conscious consumers. However, if the cost aligns with your preferences, this thermometer’s wireless capabilities and smart controls make it a valuable addition to your kitchen, ensuring precision and flexibility in your cooking endeavors.

I got a Ninja Airfryer last year and it’s revolutionized the cooking experience. It comes with its own temperature probe, but I find this a little unreliable, and have reverted to a manual probe to check the meat intermittently. This does mean that you’re constantly checking the meats, meaning you’re not doing other things.
This is where this little 40 device helps. It’s wireless and let’s you check the food from anywhere in the house, and even the garden, via the app.
I’ve found it really reliable for accuracy, and has resulted in some great roast chicken meals.

This is a neat gadget for a keen cook who loves to put large joints in the oven.
It would be great for xmas dinner, to check on the turkey without having to keep pulling it out (though basting does give you an opportunity to stick the poor bird with a meat thermometer).
It has a fairly chunky base unit that can be attached to a magnetic surface, where the USB cable also plugs in to charge the device. Once the light goes green and you’ve installed and configured the Probe Plus app, you’re ready to skewer the meat. It’s quite a long probe, needing to be inserted about 3 inches, so it can’t really be used on small bits of food, so it won’t make your existing thermometer redundant. Temperature seems to be shown in centigrade, so that’s good for the UK.
It’s a neat device, the app doesn’t require email registration, which is good and is easy to use.
It’s kind of pricey for a thermometer, but it’s a neat gadget which I’ll always be using when cooking larger items of food.

My first thought after getting this was is it really going to be worth the cost over a normal thermometer. To make a long story short, the answer to my question (for most people) is no, it isn’t worth it.

This is exactly what it says it is, a wireless thermometer. It sends the reading to a phone app, which works via bluetooth.

The two main uses for this device are when you are in a cooking situation where you can’t see a normal thermometer (like an enclosed metal smoker), or where you want an alarm to go off when you reach a certain temperature. For both of those this works perfectly.

The build quality is very good, which explains some of the 40 price. To stand up to oven temperatures is not easy for any electronic device. This copes perfectly, it seems. It is accurate and updates rapidly. The app on the other hand is a bit annoying in it’s interface. The biggest problem is to remember to press Start BEFORE trying to change anything, which just seems weird.

So, this is a device with some actual usefulness but for 90% of people who use an oven with a window it’s not needed at all. If it cost 20 then it would be a five star device as it works as claimed, however it’s 40 and that’s far too much. It gets four stars.

    PACKAGING: Orange presentation box

PRODUCT: Wireless meat thermometer. Charging dock. USB charging cable in a narrow white box. Instructions.

FUNCTIONALITY: The box this comes in is very nice and would therefore make an ideal gift, especially for the person who you never know what to get.

The instructions have diagrams which are numbered, so it is relatively easy to follow. Firstly, you have to download and launch an App called, Probe Plus. The App communicates to the charger/base unit. The charger/base unit receives the temperature data wirelessly from the probe which is inserted in the meat.

Within the App you can monitor the temperature and an alarm will sound when the target temperature has been reached. The charger/base unit has magnets on the rear so it can be stored on the fridge or similar. However, it must be within 150m of the probe when in use. However, I cannot confirm or deny this.

This is an attractive piece of kit and would make an ideal gift, however, I think it is over-priced at 39.99. It is an unnecessary luxury item and I will stick with my manual probe, which is a lot less hassle.

If you are happy with gadgets that can be operated on your phone or iPad via an App, and are happy to pay a certain amount for a meat thermometer, then this is for you. Or indeed, it would make a super present for a chap who loves barbecuing and who would like the whole business of seeing how the meat is cooking, or getting an alert when it’s done, without stirring from the deckchair! (Or even from the office – if you are busy, just check the phone to see how the cooking is going.). I only deduct a star because it is not cheap and not everyone will want to use this kind of gadget. If you do, then it is definitely 5 star status.

Can also be used in a regular oven, a rotisserie and an air fryer, so very versatile. It’s really very clever – download the IOS or Android app and away you go. The bluetooth thermometer comes in a nice presentation box with a charger cable and is a nicely designed piece of kit. Has a countdown timer and a temperature record chart. Made of stainless steel, it is waterproof so no problem using it outdoors while you hide under the umbrella!
