I bought this for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas!
Bought one similar for his Daddy 35 years ago !
Fisher Price did not disappoint ! Quality 35 years ago just as great today .
Simple – no asssembly needed . Out of the box and ready to play – batteries included ! Great plus for Christmas Day mayhem !
Called over today a week later he is still enjoying it!
I can see this being a permanent fixture of the playroom for a good while yet !
Fisher Price are a brand name you can trust, everyone has grown up with fisher price toys and they have some longevity due to the high quality material used and classic design shape.
This garage is no different in the high quality design and hours of fun for you and your child.
Such simple set up, comes complete with full instructions although it’s up to your imagination how you use it.
I love the educational aspect of this saying the colours so your child can hear and see the colours etc
The car wash is fantastic such a wonderful addition.
Excellent value for money and this garage is built to last so can be handed down to siblings etc.
I love the durabilty of this garage, already it’s taken a few car crashes, knocked over, had juice over it yet it still looks brand new.
Great bright colours used.
Our two year old enjoys playing with this, the car wash lights up and there’s quite a few parts that can be moved and played with. We are happy with the purchase so far 🙂
wonderful garage set from Fisher Price, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Right from the moment it arrived in a bright and colourful cardboard box, I knew it would be a delight for any small child to open.
The quality of the set is exactly what you would expect from Fisher Price, known for its durable and well-designed toys. It brings back memories of the sets from years ago but with a definite update in terms of features. The addition of lights, songs, and sounds adds a whole new level of excitement to the play experience.
Assembly is required, but it’s a task that a child can easily assist with. There are a few screws to put in place, but it doesn’t take long at all. Once assembled, the set feels substantial and sturdy, ensuring it will withstand hours of playtime.
One of the standout features of this garage set is the variety of interactive elements it offers. From a lift that moves the cars up and down to a switch that triggers the carwash and sends the car shooting down the ramp, there are plenty of opportunities for imaginative play. The inclusion of flashing lights and educational elements like counting, colours, and letters further enhances the learning aspect of the toy. The songs included are pleasant to the ears, even for adults, and I’ve certainly heard worse in children’s toys.
As expected from Fisher Price this toy is absolutely amazing and my nephew loved it!
It’s brightly coloured and he’s obsessed with the flashing lights and noises – I love that this comes with the batteries already in.
You do need an adult to help construct this as there are a couple of small screws but it doesn’t take long to do!
Educational and entertaining, a perfect gift for a little one!
Lovely game, lots of futures and plant of play time. Lovely design, all parts are safe to play, no sharp edges. This makes a lovely birthday gift for my nephew. Thank you
This is a wonderful garage set from Fisher Price. Everything arrives in a bright, colourful cardboard box, which would be a delight for any small child to open.
The set is the quality you would expect from Fisher Price, and reminds of the sets from years ago, although this is a definite update with the addition of lights, songs, and sounds. You do have to assemble it, although a child will be able be help to help with most of it. There are a couple of screws to put in place, but it doesn’t take long, and the set is quite substantial once complete.
There are all sorts of elements for interactive play, which are just fun for any child, but not too much or over the top. There’s a lift, and a switch that will trigger the car into the carwash, and out again so it shoots down the ramp. There are flashing lights, and things to help with counting, colours and letters; the songs are reasonably easy on the ears for the adults and I’ve certainly heard worse. This can be used with other toys, too, and will be a welcome addition to many toy boxes.
At the time of writing this review, the cost is 44.99, and not only do I think it’s worth it, but it looks as though it cost more. Happy to recommend.
Our 2 1/2-year-old has a blast with this, and so do we! It was very easy to put together, even with the stickers (I don’t see how they could be a problem?). My husband and I put together this, plus the ramp kit, plus the little train track one all in less than 20 minutes with no frustration. My husband is very handy, but I’m very much not handy, so I’d say together we’re probably average! At 2.5 years old, our son has plenty of room to grow into this, and still has a lot of fun with it right now. I looked extensively at all of the Go Go Smart Wheels playlets, and I’m really glad I chose this one. We can put all of the tracks and ramps away, and our son can still play with the tower part on its own, and then we can get out the tracks and ramps and build a track onto it. It’s great fun, and I’d also highly recommend the train set, as the trains go on their own (the cars don’t) and are super cute. We ordered the mountain train set too but it hasn’t arrived yet.
The tracks do come apart easily, but they also go together easily. I don’t think they’re necessarily meant to stay up all the time. We put the tracks up, and then do different configurations etc, so I’m fine with them coming apart easily. They will not tolerate a little one pulling up on them though, and our toddler has had to learn quickly not to lean on the ramps to reach across, though it doesn’t break anything, they just come apart. The pieces seem sturdy enough for a toddler. Overall we’re really happy with this!
This brings back memories. We bought our son a Fisher Price garage when he was a toddler (long ago), and he absolutely adored it. I can’t remember exactly what it cost, but I’m pretty sure it was a lot more expensive than this one in real terms. It was well-made, and it had a working lift (for cars, not people), but no sound effects.
This one has far more features. The main difference is the inclusion of sound and light effects, graded for three learning levels (I can just see kids sticking to one level until parents say they’re old enough to go up to the next one). The car goes up in the lift and through the car wash, then you lift up the barrier and push the car down the ramp. Some of the recordings even cover this progress, e.g. bubbles to simulate car washing and an instruction to wait until it’s time to move the car on. I was pleased to find that “UK English” means “spoken by a Brit”; no xenophobia intended, but you don’t want children to start acquiring the American accent built into so many toys.
There is superb detailing, e.g. a staircase behind the car lift and a people waiting area just before the car wash. I was pleased to see there is a petrol pump, rather than an electric charger — no questionable green propaganda.
The figures are attractive and quirky – one of them looks uncannily like Mario. Each one has an indentation on the base to keep it in place in the lift and in the toy car. They are solidly built, and probably made of rubber.
A small amount of self-assembly is required: there are two screws to attach the cage to the lift, and the ramp is in three sections (you can remove these if you want to reduce the size of the garage when it’s not in use).
Ignore the statement “no batteries required”. The lights and sounds are powered by three AA batteries (already fitted).
There is a leaflet with basic instructions, which is how I found out about the batteries. The leaflet says “do not immerse”, so you can’t do a real car wash, otherwise the electronics will be ruined.
As always with Fisher Price, the whole set is strongly made and will withstand rough play.
Great value for 45.
Now to build a time machine to go back to 1980 and get our son to do a quick compariso
This Little People garage is a brilliant interactive toy for a young child. It’s bright and colourful and feels very well made and sturdy as you would expect from a such a great brand as Fisher Price.
It comes well packaged and is very quick and straightforward to set up.
There are lots of different songs, words, sounds, lights and features to keep the young ones entertained and stimulated as well as having great fun. Lots of giggles and smiley faces were observed whilst playing with this toy.
A great toy that looks cute and importantly helps with a child’s learning and development whilst having lots of fun.
My friend’s children who are aged between a year and 5 totally loved this and it kept them engaged and entertained for a lot longer than any of their other interactive toys that they play with.
It has 3 different levels of learning so can be adjusted as the child gets older and develops.
The Little People range from Fisher Price has always been a big hit with my friends children and this is another great one to add to the range.
This would be a great gift for a special occasion for a child and I would definitely recommend.
I love this Little People garage!
It requires a very small amount of assembly – takes a minute to do and you need a Phillips screwdriver for 2 small screws. Although it came retail packed in a display box, it was easily removed and quick to set up. It’s all good quality plastic.
It offers loads of play value and is perfect for young children. You get 2 Little People with the set, a car, and the garage itself. The lift moves up and automatically tips the car towards the car wash. You then manually lift the lever to tip the car through the car wash and down the ramp.
The sounds come in 3 modes: (1) Discover mode for learning about colours, ABCs and counting; (2) Experience mode for hearing about taking care of a car; and (3) Imagine mode for exciting music, lights and sounds for creative play. You get the three big buttons to press in whichever mode you choose.
Overall it’s a great play garage.
