The pieces are really big and made of thick card so not easily damaged.
This is really fun to put together and even fun after finding, then counting all the creatures. Also fab that the pieces are all different shapes and sizes, so you can’t accidentally put something in the wrong place, a lot less frustrating for little ones that way.
I wanted to purchase a giant jigsaw for my three year old, she’s had a few smaller ones but they’ve never held her attention. At first the shapes seemed a little bizarre but she quickly grasped the idea of it and in a week she’s gone from needing us to do 90% of it to her doing the majority of it herself. She does still insist we help but it’s more a want than a need. We’re enjoying it so much that we’re about to purchase another from the same range. Lovely quiet activity that helps her to problem solve and practice dexterity.
Absolutely recommend.
This is made of nice thick cardboard with lovely big colourful pieces, perfect for toddlers. My daughter loves putting each creature in at the end and the little number poster was an added bonus for her bedroom wall.
This product is top quality. The images are so vibrant. My Granddaughters love to build the jigsaw. My 2 year old Granddaughter has this down to a fine are worth every penny. Highly recommended.
This jigsaw has been a great favourite with grandson. He does it over and over and it’s essential, apparently, that the pieces shaped like a whale, shark, dolphins, etc are done last! Love it.
My 2.5 year old adores this puzzle! Great design from the engaging print to the chunky pieces along with the templated pieces made this a winning gift that they want to do over and over and over again.
I bought this puzzle in September for the nursery I work at and the children absolutely love it, they love working together to put the puzzle together. I only put 3 stays for durability because as you can expect over 10+ 2 year olds they like to bend things and from overuse the pieces have broke off but can be easily taped back on but that’s the only reason for 3 stars on durability
Had it not been for the description this product would have received five stars as it is a good quality educational toy. However the description atates it’s for “3-6 years” on the box.
For three year olds, this is a great puzzle for learning about different sea creatures whi8lst advancing hand to eye co-ordination. For four year old’s it’s likelly to be boring. Five year old’s most likely wouldn’t go near it and as for six year olds, they’d be too busy on their smart phones and tablets.
The box comes with the large jigsaw puzzle pieces and a poster to aid toddlers in learning to count to ten (10). It’s a good concept and is good quality. It is also good value and I am recommending it for three to four year olds but beyond that kids want electronics by the age of five. So, although I am recommending it I am also reducing the rating by one star, to four stars, as this simply cannot be expected to keep a five / six year old busy and happy.
