I was getting so fed up of buying retractable clothes lines that weren’t doing their job. I would find all my washing on the ground, especially if I had dared to hang heavy wet bath towels on it.
Since buying this early last year, I have had no problems at all. As long as it is housed properly, preferably to a fence post, it seems so much stronger and secure and I feel much more confident when hanging clothes out. Feel very pleased to have found one that actually works. Thankyou!
Very well made a with two separate washing lines. Takes some practice to wrap the washing line around the retainer. My only real criticism is the screws did not fit and the rawl plugs included were not fit for purpose – they disintegrated when the screws were tightened. Good product though
Recently got rid of our rotary drier, so purchased this as a replacement. It was easy to install and saves on space, once it is reeled in.
Built my own poles to hook onto at the opposite end. Very good and would buy again.
This is a decent clothes line. My only niggle is that I followed the fixing diagram measurements/ orientation. ….unfortunately the actual screw holes are not the same! As you will see from the photo, the actual holes are top to RHS and lower to LHS…in the diagram supplied they are the opposite (top to LHS, bottom to RHS). I accept that if I had used the actual holes as a template this could have been avoided.
Well in a bid to save on energy use I’ve now got my first washing line in 30 years and haven’t used my drier since. Resisted before now as didn’t want a washing line hanging over rear drive or decking area but this is something else. It’s been installed in tree so you can’t even see it and when in use I can chose where exactly I want my washing (dependent on whether cars are in or were using the decking area) to hang by pulling out line and attaching to numerous points around the back garden area from hanging basket to fence post to other tree. Better than a cumbersome rotary. Very pleased
I ordered this about a year ago. It was easy to install and, at first, there were no problems. After about six months the screws holding the line container to the bracket rusted and the container came away from the bracket. What is the pount of supplying screws that rust with an outdoor item?
