Was sceptical at the low price but with Amazon after sales took a chance.
Turned out no concerns fairly sturdy unit just no threaded base if want pole mounting, but perfect hanging feeder and approved by the Squirrel haha

I had a couple of other feeders that were very lightweight and ended on the ground a lot. The upside of this feeder is that it’s very sturdy and even when the squirrel has a go it doesn’t end up on the ground.
The only downside is that it’s difficult to get at the base(internal) when cleaning it.

This bird feeder is great, it has 6 perches, which is ideal for the Gold Finches that come into our garden, they are always in a group, so they can all eat together. Also, the Blue Tits can use it as well, as we always have 2 or 3 flying around here and it it squirrel proof, as we feed them as well, but they have their own box for their monkey nuts.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI think I reviewed these before but I bought another couple so I’ll give my current thoughts.

1 Very easy to clean once dismantled.

2 Easy to dismantle. There are three screws, which hold together the pairs of ports. The screws are recessed inside the feeder so they don’t get wet (so no rusting).

3 Ports fit snugly into the feeder creating a tighter seal than any others I’ve bought.

4 The shape and size of the lids deflects droppings from hitting the barrel of the feeder.

5 The hangers are positioned outside the barrel so that water can’t get into the food. I’ve had expensive cage feeders where the hanger actually allowed water to run through to the food!

6 The clear barrel is a good solid type of plastic. The last feeders I bought all split within a short time.

7 My only criticism is that when used for sunflower hearts, I sometimes find they don’t flow down past the ports, leaving small voids. I just have to go out and tap the feeder to dislodge the sunflower hearts, so it’s not a huge deal. It’s not also not a regular occurrence and tends to happen more when the weather is
    damp.

In conclusion, I honestly think these are brilliant.

I like this bird feeder but it isn’t as sturdy as my last one. Unfortunately when our birds come to eat the bird seed the lid gets misplaced so I have to go and put it straight to save the food getting wet, I would rather pay more to get a more sturdy lid but I do like the way you can clean it more easily.

This is fine as a bird feeder well that’s what it is but seems fragile although it isn’t. It is not as strong as the others I have . The plastic is thinner .And although it has room for six feeding stations it was a while before the birds got used to it. Although they are happy now.
I feel that some day I shall find that it’s cracked but that is just my impression. It is strong and well made and easy enough to clean and I would buy another.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe feeder was put out at 6.30 in the evening with sunflower hearts filled to the top. Usually first thing next morning, with my other pullring feeders, the squirrel has it on the floor and chewed straight through the port holes making it unusable. As you can see from the video (which I’m sorry for poor quality) is still standing the next morning. The downfalls of this feeder is it is screw fixed potholes so not easy to clean (not great if you have weak hands and also a clumsy clot like me who can easily lose the screws). The other thing is the lid, as you can see on the video it isnt sitting flat, it isnt heavy enough to stay in place which isnt great because of the rain getting in or easy access for the squirrels. Having said all that I’m just pleased it’s still standing and is much better having metal potholes making it much harder for the pesky squirrels to chew through and it is obviously heavier so they cant pull it off the stand. Only the first day so time will tell. I will update if this changes but having paid for 4 pullring feeders (which are great by the way if u dont have squrriel problems because they are much easier to clean) at an expensive price when they only last a few days this metal one hopefully will be the answer, fingers crossed
