Exercise Bike from Labgrey. This is an indoor Magnetic Resistance cycling bike which has a heart rate sensor. It’s an affordable starter bike which is great for home use. It is easy to assemble with simple instructions and is well built and sturdy. It’s probably better suited in a fixed environment such as a home gym or garage as it’s quite a hefty machine that isn’t the most mobile. The yellow and black colour scheme looks good however it isn’t mobile at all and would look out of place in a house in my opinion. It has a belt drive system and measures
42 x 20 x 45 inches when fully assembled.
The performance of the bike is reasonable considering the price and I’ve found the magnetic resistance works well, great for emulating different conditions such as flat or mountainous terrain. It’s the type of bike that is usable by either beginners or more serious cyclists. It’s suited for all shapes and sizes too and can accommodate weights of up to 300lbs. For the cost of a few months of a gym membership this bike gives you the option to exercise at home which can be a lot more convenient than going to a gym or risking cycling on the roads. Personally I think it’s a really good starter bike which is worth looking into as an entry level piece of exercise equipment that is affordable and well built.
Though it lacks the advanced features of more expensive bikes, I think it offers good value for money whilst being solid and well made. Labgrey offer a free Lifetime Warranty too which I’ve personally heard great reviews of. This is definitely worth taking into consideration if you’re interested in purchasing an exercise bike.
I have recently had the pleasure of adding the Labgrey brand resistance indoor cycling exercise bike to my fitness regime inside my home gym, and I must say, it’s been an absolute joy to use. One feature that stands out is the remarkably accurate heart rate sensor, ensuring that I stay within my target zones for the most effective workouts. Coupled with a comfortable bike seat, my longer sessions have become something I look forward to, rather than dread. The bike operates quietly, allowing me to enjoy my favourite tunes or catch up on telly without any intrusive noise.
The build quality of this exercise bike is truly impressive. Crafted from commercial-grade steel, it exudes durability and strength, comfortably supporting users up to 300 pounds. What’s more, the thoughtful design includes four horizontal adjustment knobs on both the front and rear stabilizers, providing exceptional stability on a variety of surfaces. Whether I’m in for a light, breezy ride or a challenging hill climb simulation, the Labgrey bike remains steadfast and reliable. It’s a splendid addition to my home gym, blending seamlessly with my fitness goals and lifestyle.
Five out of five.
I’m really happy with this exercise bike. It’s decent quality and straightforward to assemble. It has a good weight to it, adding to the stability. In use, it works really well and is giving me a good workout. Overall a great product that I find easy to recommend.
The bike was delivered well packaged in a sturdy box. The bag of nuts and bolts also had 2 spanners and an Allan key included. It was very easy to assemble and took around 30 minutes in total. There is a leaflet to explain the console and the booklet has a comprehensive fault-finding chart.
The seat and handlebars are adjustable. It is really comfortable to ride and the pedals have foot straps and there is even a bottle holder so you can have water to hand whilst exercising. The adjustable knob for the gradient of hill controls a magnet.
A very good quality exercise bike, ideal to have at home if you don’t have time to go to the gym. You will need room for it though as it isn’t small and it is quite heavy.
The Labgrey Exercise Bike boasts several features appealing to home fitness enthusiasts. Its magnetic resistance system offers smooth, adjustable workouts, while the 35lb flywheel mimics outdoor cycling inertia. The LCD monitor tracks key metrics like speed, distance, and heart rate, aiding in goal setting and monitoring progress. Comfort is prioritised with a cushioned seat and adjustable handlebars, though individual preferences may vary. The bike’s compact design facilitates easy storage, and transport wheels enhance portability. However, users seeking advanced programming options or app integration might need to explore higher-end models. Overall, the Labgrey Exercise Bike provides a solid foundation for home cardio workouts at a reasonable price point, but those with specific feature preferences may want to compare before purchasing.
This is a very solid build. Nothing wobbles or creaks and it doesn’t move even when giving it some welly!
I would prefer it if the handlebars had some adjustment, but it is built with a one size fits all template so the only adjustment is the saddle which is one of the more comfortable I have used on an exercise bike and it has a fair adjustment range back and forth and up and down. There is a rack built into the handlebar which will comfortably hold an iPad Pro and a smaller tablet or larger phone below in a bracket beneath the small screen showing details of pulse, speed and other information which is powered by AAA batteries. Surprisingly for a bike in this price range, they are not supplied? I didn’t find the information on the screen regarding pulse rate that accurate, I am supposing that that is because of the sensors built into the handlebar, keeping a tight hold in the same position might help, but I find that nearly impossible. I assume the other pickups are more accurate though I cannot confirm or deny the accuracy of this information, Time – okay I can check that, but speed and distance, pulse and calories used are pretty subjective, but they do suffice to show progress on this equipment. The magnetic resistance is effective, the magnets never coming into contact with the flywheel but the closer they are adjusted the greater the resistance felt and there is quite a lot more than I thought there would be just from the magnets.
I find it a very good work out even if the information on the screen might not be smack on. It is well built with good materials and well put together, It should last many years. My only real niggle is the lack of adjustment on the handlebar.
