Nipple Cooling Gel Pads
Reuseable nipple cooling gel pads, they’re thin gel circular cooling pads that are self-adhesive. The adhesion is strong enough, but after removing and reapplying them over time in between feeds, the adhesions lessons in strength. So, they’re better secured in place by a maternity bra, too. They’re currently selling for 11.99, for only one pair that are only resuseable up to 3 times, which makes them expensive, in comparison to some others on the present market.
Sore nipples, who?
If you have breastfed, or pumped out breastmilk, you’ll know how sore your nipples can get. These have been a lifesaver. Pop them on in between feeds and you’re nipples will be a lot less sensitive and sore for your next feed. Worth every pence.
Offers fantastic relief for sore or cracked nipples
These cooling gel pads are a lifesaver for any breastfeeding mother who is suffering from cracked or sore nipples. It is very easy to use this item, simply pop it into the fridge then insert into your bra. The relief is instantly felt; the entire area feels soothed and cooled down. As far as value for money, I would say that as it is reusable for only 3 days it might not be the cheapest option, however it definitely does what it says and hopefully after three days the worst of the pain will be over and you won`t need these anymore anyway!
Cooling and soothing effec
These gel pads are cooling and soothing (and even more so if you pop them in the fridge first for a boosted cooling effect)
Easy to use and store and I like that they are re-useable (though it’s only recommended to re-use three times)
Really soothing
I am a new mum who has just begun breastfeeding and these cooling pads have been amazing. I put mine I’m the fridge to keep them cool and wear them until I next feed. They stick on really easily and feel amazing. They peel off without any pain or pulling and do not leave any residue on my breasts. The pads can be reused over 3 days before they start to become less effective, however, this is the recommended amount of time for them to be used.
Recommend for breast feeding mothers
Our baby is due in July so we haven’t used these yet but these were ordered as they were recommended by the nurse at the antenatal class and some of the other expectant mothers had also been told about this brand. I felt as though I was the odd one out as I hadn’t even heard of these. I knew about the creams available as I used them in the past but I thought if a nurse who holds antinatal classes is recommending these then I can’t go wrong by trying them out. I will update the review and give a comparison to the creams in due course. But for the price I believe they are worth the shot to help soothe my nipples on rough feeding nights.
Effective
I wore these over night. They are soothing on first contact and comfortable to wear. I took them off several times to feed without issue and reapplied after. I didn’t find them adhesive enough to wear without a bra. Overall they were soothing and a good product, however there are other options on the market that I would probably use more as they are more expensive but longer lasting. This would make a good gift in a care package for new mums.
