It is nice and soft to touch and is waterproof. Like everything ‘waterproof’ this might go after several washes, but you could waterproof spray the bottom easily enough. Would buy again.
Had to return as it wasn’t big enough for the new dog bed we bought elsewhere at the same time. Cracking blanket. Thick and soft. Especially like it has a waterproof core so the dog bed would stay fresh underneath.
This blanket really works, as described. Our dogs like to mark their spot, being males and on getting a nw sofa, this has been a life saver. No liquid soaks through at all, just puddles on the surface of the blanket, easy to soak up and washes well on a low temperature, when needed to be. We purchased another larger blanket, to use when the other was in the wash. So far our new sofa is unblemished!!
I did buy it to leave my scent on it for the dog I’m adopting. I will take the blanked in couple of days to him to give him something with my smell. It’s such a good quality we will take it back after adoption bcoz it’s so amazing
I bought this, as I wanted a blanket for me, but one that the dogs and I could cuddle on/with.
It’s perfect. I’d even just buy it as a throw, so much cheaper than the ones that are only for humans and I don’t really see a difference haha.
I have a cat who has been using my sofa as his personal urinal. I was at my wits end, going through bottles of enzyme cleaner and using my spot cleaner cleaner everyday so I thought I’d give this a try.
As soon as it arrived (next day delivery, thanks) I opened it, it did have a plastic smell but after an hour or so it had gone. The feel is very plush, my other cat likes anything Sherpa so he was very happy. The other side is more silky velvety feel. The ‘large’ size is good for the two seater section of my corner sofa. I can confirm that it is waterproof, my cat had done a wee whilst I was out, but the clean-up was so much easier. I just grabbed the blanket, chucked it in the wash and hung to dry, it still feels nice after being in the wash. My sofa was saved from another round of enzyme shampoo and I was saved from an evening of cleaning.
I have a vet appointment to find out why my cat keeps having ‘accidents’ but after that situation is resolved I think these blankets will remain as they are so cozy.
My only advice to the company is to offer an option that doesn’t have the beige trim on the outside, it makes it look like a pet-blanket rather than a house-blanket, but I guess that makes it easy to identify so I’d still keep it as an option. Thank you for saving my sofa
Stay in place on furniture? Yes, pretty well.
Soft and pleasant? Yes. (The dogs think so.)
Easy to wash? Yes – straight into the machine.
The only downsides are that, being synthetic, it is harder to keep smelling fresh than natural fibres would be. But Dettol washing fluid and a dash of Comfort does the trick. Drying is best done outdoors if possible.
I bought two of these blankets as my dog has sadly become a bit incontinent in her old age. They are really useful in my van too to avoid the soggy muddy paws on the upholstery! They will contain a fair amount of fluid but unfortunately if saturated it does soak through. They are still handy and good quality blankets though
I bought this for my epileptic dog because when he has a seizure he loses control of his bladder and he sleeps on my bed. The cover is great and prevented lots of accident on my bed BUT when you wash it, it holds on to so much water and doesn’t seem to rinse well. It made it so heavy that my washing line broke.
We purchased the Kingsize blanket and although it will be excellent during winter as an extra layer, it is way too big! Don’t do what we did and actually measure properly. If you want it foractivities, I would say the Large will be just fine!
It holds a LOT of liquid. Both the wetness it was intended for (which is very helpful – 10/10) but also in the washing machine. So much so, once it is totally wet, your machine may struggle to spin. So bare this in mind! It does wash really well, and will need a wash upon receiving it as it has a little bit of a funky smell that disappeared when first washed.
The quality is EXCELLENT. It feels really soft and you won’t be disappointed if for some reason you end up laid down on it with no clothes on.
For the price it is excellent. Comparable in quality to top of the line bed-waterproofing-products but at a tiny % of the price.
I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone who is fed up of washing their bedding/sofa cushions/rug on a regular basis. For whatever reason.
I have just bought a smaller one that will wash more readily.
I bought for my elderly dog who started to occasionally pee in his sleep, he could be sleeping on my bed or sofa. So i didn’t want to take the risk of him peeing there, but also i didn’t want to stop him sleeping on the sofa or bed.
The blanket itself is plush, soft and warm, anyone or animal would love it, it’s very cosy.
But it is not style and comfort over substance it is 100% waterproof too.
I didn’t know what to expect as it doesn’t feel rubbery, crinkley or thick just very soft and lush. But the other night it was tested. My dog sleeps on it on the bed and the other morning when I went to make the bed I felt the blanket was very wet on the top side. I’m very happy to report there was not a drop that came through nor was it remotely damp on the other side of the blanket. It is a wonder and amazing.
This blanket is and does exactly what it says. IT IS 100% WATERPROOF.
It is machine washable and can go in the tumble dryer which is another plus.
I’m so glad I bought it. I’d give 10 stars if I could as I cannot fault it and if is plush.
It is perfect.
