I normally use a headset but I thought I would try a desktop microphone and this one from Logitech was actually very very good.
Really good sound quality picked me up from close and across the room without any problems.
Easy to set up it was Plug and Play comes with a nice stand and synced up to my Logitech software package without any problems at all.
Overall I can give this a absolute thumbs up because it worked well looks good and people can hear me better over things like Discord than they could before.
Straight out the box this microphone doesn’t seem like much but once in use it really shines. I was surprised at all the little sounds it picks up on that previous microphones didn’t. The sound quality is sharp and crisp and it’s best used with the downloadable software which provides many different settings. If you’re looking to upgrade your microphone system to a more professional set up then i would recommend this Logitech option.
This is a good microphone out of the box can be a little underwhelming but once you get into the blue voice and fine tune it it really shines, it does pickup quite a lot of knocks and bangs from the desk but if you pair it with a blue compass boom arm and radius 3 shock mount it literally detects next to no noise, I have some presets on ghub I created called clean voice if you want to check them out it will give you a good starting point to getting this mic sounding how it should
The sound quality from this mic is exceptional. Comparing it to a 300 studio mic it holds its own and has a different basic sound type with more noise reduction from ambient sounds, almost dead sounding but this is highly customisable with the ranges. It works plug and play without the extra settings which you really don’t need for basic use like gaming or calling.
The mic itself is built like a tank and has a really good weight to it and looks very smart, I really like it. The lights on the mic add a lot of character to it, the mute and live indications are big and obvious to avoid embarrassment, it looks good both on the desk stand and attached to an arm.
I have been very impressed with this mic, the cancellation of background noise is very good, not superfluous to the keyboard clicks but very good at general noise.
Brilliant mic, easily recommended. I’d use this for some studio recording.
Since lockdown, my company has kept on with online conferences as people just seem to prefer them. There’s less travel and you get get more done within a limited time.
Of course, this means that you have to have a bit of a setup at home in order for people to see and hear you properly.
I have been astounded with the quality of this Logitech microphone. The sound is crystal clear and it’s very stylish. It connects instantly via a USB connection and it just works.
My son has also used this for recording his song lyrics with and he has been praising it no end (which is a big thing coming from a teenager).
Overall, the sound quality of this microphone is reasonable and you can adjust it to different settings so in terms of sensitiveness, it’s sensitive to different environments.
It feels high-quality and its performance is probably what you would expect for this price point microphone.
It’s really easy to install and you don’t need to be great with computers to be able to get it working.
I would say if you are a gamer, then you probably want a headset rather than a microphone like this, but it depends what you are after.
Overall value for money it is what you probably expect and I would say is reasonable.
This gaming microphone is a must-have for serious streamers. The dynamic RGB design delivers rich, broadcast-quality audio, and the LIGHTSYNC feature adds a touch of visual flair. The super cardioid pickup pattern focuses on my voice while minimizing background noise, and the USB plug-and-play setup makes it incredibly convenient. Very pleased with this upgrade to my streaming arsenal.
It is great to see huge progress over old Blue yeti microphone, here finally we can see full Logitech branded microphone with exceptional features and performance. Logitech G yeti microphone has been redesigned from ground, it has much more sleek and elegant design, minimalist selection of buttons for better scroll functionality and still keeping single “mute” button which is crucial in all microphones. It has Logitech logo with awesome RGB light on bottom which can be easily turned off if someone prefers that way.
It is fully wired microphone, best way to deliver sound quality without delay, since it is USB powered, is it simply plug and play. Microphone works straight away even without installing dedicated software. It has scroll which controls voice gain and can be used to adjust ambient noise. Microphone has been designed to capture your voice purely when set up correctly rather than anything else around you such as keyboard or mouse clicks, this will decrease amount of background noise gathered by microphone.
I am happy to see jack 3.5mm port being fitted into microphone, it allows you to live-time monitoring and get full control over what you doing. Awesome they didn’t forget about this.
Stand looks amazing, stylish, very aesthetic design and sturdy. Provides nice stability for microphone. At this price point it is awesome microphone for streaming, gaming.
This mic is perfect for gamers and streamers and has clearly been designed with them in mind. The RGB lighting, the simple setup which is perfect for single users, the general design – all fit in well for a gaming or streaming set up. I was a little confused about how different this would be to my old Yeti Blue mic and I think the sound quality is a little better on the Blue and also of course you have the ability to change the mic pattern. This is crucial for podcasting or interviews and that’s why I think the GX is a bit limited. The fact that it actually costs more than the Blue makes no sense to me but there we go.
A good mic for certain users but maybe not for those looking for a versatile podcast mic.
Logitech G Yeti GX Dynamic RGB Gaming Microphone with LIGHTSYNC, USB Mic for Streaming, Supercardioid, USB Plug and Play for PC/Mac — Black
This microphone is quite high quality, and has typical Logitech build quality. It looks and feels expensive. The microphone is very well featured, as can be seen in the advertising text, so I won’t repeat all that here. It is truly plug and play, but you will need to download the companion software to get the most from it.
I like the fact that In use my voice comes over crisp and clear, and there are settings in the software to add various filters to your voice. I also own an older Blue Yeti mic, and this one to me sounds a lot clearer than that that one did. The Logitech software is used for most settings on the device, and there is only a button and a scroll wheel on the mic itself. Handily one of the buttons is a mute toggle; the other is a mic gain. Unfortunately though, I struggled to get rid of all of my mechanical keyboard noise while I was talking. This has always been an issue for me with cardioid mics which are supposed to be uni-directional. Maybe my keyboard is just super noisy, using Cherry blues. Don’t get me wrong, it does reduce the keyboard noise a lot, but I was expecting it to block it out completely.
It is marketed as a gaming microphone, but I see no reason why this could be used for content creation as well. The microphone is a cardioid style dubbed ‘supercardioid’ by Logitech but I am not quite sure what this means, if anything. I used the microphone on my boom arm by using the supplied adaptor, but it can equally be used on the supplied stand which is quite sturdy. The RGB is, well just RGB, and you can do ‘stuff’ with it if that is your thing. If you are not bothered by RGB there may be better options out there.
This brings me to my biggest dislike and that is the price. To me it is just too much for what it offers.
My review is based around the current selling price of 139.99
Pros:
Really good quality as you might expect
Premium look and feel
Well made
Fancy lighting that can be adjusted
Easy to use
Plug and play installation
Solid, sturdy and durable construction
Broadcaster quality sound
Cons:
Price is heavy but you get what you pay fo
My first impression of the microphone when opening is that it looks and feels well made.
It is a simple plug and play installation. The lighting effect is nice, the LEDs give a subtle gaming vibe. The angles of the mic are ideal and the sound quality is an improvement over PC sound.
The controls for volume and mute work well and overall I have no complaints when using this product. It’s nice to take a rest from head gear.
The Logitech G Yeti GX Dynamic RGB Gaming Microphone is a stellar addition to any gamer’s setup. Combining outstanding audio quality with customizable RGB lighting, it strikes a perfect balance between functionality and style.
One of its standout features is the exceptional sound capture, ensuring crystal-clear communication with teammates and immersive streaming for viewers. The dynamic cardioid pickup pattern minimizes background noise, guaranteeing professional-grade recordings and streams. Whether you’re gaming, podcasting, or streaming, the Yeti GX delivers impressive audio clarity.
The RGB lighting adds a vibrant touch to your setup, allowing you to personalize your microphone to match your gaming aesthetic. The customization options are extensive, enabling you to sync the lighting with other peripherals for a cohesive look.
Logitech’s attention to detail is evident in the design and build quality. The microphone feels robust and durable, ensuring longevity even with regular use. Setup is a breeze, making it accessible for beginners and seasoned gamers alike.
In summary, the Microphone is a top-tier choice for gamers, streamers, and content creators. Its exceptional audio quality, coupled with customizable RGB lighting and user-friendly features.
It’s the most expensive mircophone I’ve ever owned. Growing up with logetich and they vast collection of keyboards mouses and speaker systems. I knew this would not let me down and well it hasn’t.
A beast of a microphone that feels premium and built like a tank. The black and metal design aesthetic will go in any gaming setup or even causal office. Software is a little bit of haggle at first and seemly seems rather confusing. However after half an hour I got my head around it. Seems that most of logetich G yeti devices use this software ; which I do like combining everything in once place. There is no manual which was confusing at first where to download the drivers and software but once you look inside the lid 4 images are printed which aid you to install it; a little bit disappointed in this setup. Anyways moving on colours respond really well when changing in the software, you have a few presets and then can be fullly customised, which if you have any other logetich devices compatible it’ll change it too. The quality of mircophone is pretty decent it’s not studio quality but it’s good enough for streaming and audio calls. The effect panel is great to you can change your voice into high pitch or low pitch masking your voice. At the end of the day it is a little bit expensive however you are paying for a premium product and the brand which is known for quality and robustness.
At time of review this item is priced at 139.99. This certainly puts it at the high end of microphones. However it does offer good bang for your buck.
It’s presented nicely and comes with a good quality, heavyweight desk stand. You would have to deliberately knock this over to succeed. It also comes with a boom arm attachment so it can connect to those too.
It connects to my desktop via a usb-c to usb standard but it powered by the computer so no additional power source required which is good.
It’s a very attractive mic with an RGB company brand logo and also halo at the bottom of the mic. This is programmable via a free app which can be downloaded from the site and has loads of different colour profiles and cycle settings.
The mic gains really well. I was surprised at how quiet I could talk but still be picked up by the microphone however it does also seem good at eliminating noise from outside. The bubble it picks up is very good.
Equally, the free software provided has loads and loads of options for sound and voice effects.
If you’re looking for a higher end mic with loads of options and looks good on stream, I’m happy to recommend.
I’m quite pleased with product. this microphone offers a fantastic blend of style and performance.
First and foremost, the RGB lighting is a standout feature. It adds a vibrant touch to my setup and syncs perfectly with my gaming environment. The microphone’s design is sleek and modern, making it a great addition to any gaming station.
In terms of performance, the supercardioid pickup pattern ensures excellent audio quality. It effectively reduces background noise, providing clear and crisp sound during my streams and gaming sessions. The plug-and-play functionality is incredibly convenient for both PC and Mac users, saving time on setup.
The build quality is sturdy, and the included stand is adjustable for optimal positioning. It feels durable and built to last. Highly Recommended
Huge quality heavy gaming microphone from a great brand, I have struggled to see why it is 140 but this must be due to the brand and the build quality, this is very heavy and stable when in use,the lead is a bit short and there is no instructions other than the side of the box but this is plug and go, see sellers features copied below for ease:-

This is a super easy to use microphone that is truly plug and play. No messing about, it simply plugged into the PC and immediately showed up as a microphone in my system and, more importantly, in Twitch. This will primarily used by my adult son for his Twitch streaming so really please that no twiddling was required to get it set up.
Takes up very little real estate on the computer desk as well. Because this comes with a solid base it is much easier to site than the ones that have to be clamped into place. This means he has been able to place the microphone between his 2 monitors which was unsuitable for a clamp style microphone. It does come with an adaptor so you can affix it to a mic boom if you prefer to.
Powered by a USB-A to a USB-C cable it is simple to connect one end to your PC and then plug the other in to the microphone base. It has it’s own on/off switch so you can turn it on and off independently of whatever else you are doing. When the light on the scroll wheel is red then the microphone is switched off so it is really easy to tell at a glance.
Sound detection and reproduction is really good. Even though he is sitting a lot further away from this microphone than his previous one it does pick up even quieter moments when he is streaming and the sound output is crisp and clear.
Very pleased with this addition to his man cave upstairs – especially as it fits in with the plethora of RGB LED items he had in his set up.
The lights aren’t the brightest, they’re a nice dim hue of colour and the animation of the lights are quite smooth so it doesn’t hurt my eyes looking at it. I like the detail on the lights bit, it has angles and makes it look like a gem. It came with a stand and an adapter if you want to use it with a microphone arm. Since it straight up attached to my microphone arm and not with any elastics, other people can sometimes hear vibrations or when I move the microphone away a bit. The sound is really clear and it really doesn’t pick up much when sounds are coming from the sides or behind it. You can be quite far away from it and still be heard, as long as you point the microphone in your direction.
This is a really great Microphone with LIGHTSYNC from Logitech G it is very simple to put together and is really easy to set up you simply plug in the USB cable that is included in the box into your computer and can change all the settings as to what you require through the Logitech App it is a great microphone to use on computers great for gaming there are some good options to customise it to your requirements and it feels really sturdy the sound is really good quality and is very clear due to its Dynamic sound feature it is a really nice stylish design it has Blue voice filters and effects and a smart audio lock to reduce background noise really good would recommend
Logitech G Yeti GX Dynamic RGB Gaming Microphone
Although this is quite an expense for a gaming microphone, upon arrival I could see why it costs what it does. This really is a monster of a microphone which is very heavy indeed, the reason for it’s heavy weight is that the body of the microphone is made from metal with a matt black finish. Also included in the box is a screw in circular stand, along with a decent length USB cable. Surprisingly there is no manual supplied, instead there are a few basic instructions printed on the inside of the box by way of 4 images. I’m old school so would have preferred a nice printed manual to read through.
Due to the sheer weight of this, I did wonder how stable it would be when placed on my desk. The supplied stand is circular, this screws into the end of the microphone. The stand is made from heavy metal too, it has a soft pad on the underside to prevent marking your desk, along with keeping it firmly in place. Once attached the microphone feels very stable indeed, even when adjusting it’s angle.
If you wish to attach the microphone to a boom or tripod there is an adapter included that will change the screw thread to a larger size, making this compatible with most stands and booms. Just screw the adapter onto the thread and you are ready to go.
As far as controls go, this has a single button, along with a rotating wheel for sound adjustment. On the side is a locking dial that is used to adjust the position of the mic in it’s stand. There is also software that you can download and install on your computer, this allows you to play around with the various lighting effects, it will also allow you to run your voice through an effects filter to change the sound of your voice.
Overall this is a high quality microphone that is built to last, this really is the real deal!

Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
This is so much better than what the price would suggest, it’s clear, crisp, nice feeling and has a weighted base so it doesn’t move around on my desk, if you’re looking for an affordable mic, I’d recommend this
Firstly the build quality of this is really solid, smooth stand with locking mechanism as well as boom adapter.
It’s small enough to not take up so much space on your desk and allows you to angle it perfectly. Simply plug and play but all features unlocked with the Logitech software. As well as multiple options for audio correction you can also change your voice with the included voice packs!
The quality is really good and clear as long as you have it set up correctly and it just looks clean and stylish on any desk. I really love the stand that was included.
Would recommend!
For someone who only needs a good mic for work meetings, and is not the target audience for this product, it definitely does what it is supposed to at an excellent level.
– The sound is very clear and background noises get filtered out.
– There’s a wheel to adjust mic gains so you don’t have to stick your face into the mic.
– Mute button is under the gains wheel and the colour of the wheel LED strip changes depending on the state – red for muted, blue for active, and white for inactive.
– For gamers/streamers there are dynamic LIGHTSYNC RGBs on the opposite side of the mute/gains controllers and at the bottom of the mic.
– The desktop stand and tilt adjuster are plastic but of an excellent quality, there is also an adapter for an overhead stand.
– The desktop stand base is metal with felt at the bottom and is quite heavy, so don’t need to worry about accidentally knocking the mic off the table or that it would leave scratches on the surface.
– Supports USB 1.1+ so should be compatible with any old system.
Overall great mic of high quality as you would expect from a Logitech product.
This is by far the best USB mic I have tested yet, crisp well weighted audio, perfect for everything from gaming to content creation, but don’t take my word for it I have included a video review with all the audio coming from this mic.
It was easy to get up and running using Logitech G-hub software, it did do a quick firmware update which only took a minute and then helped you set the audio and test the mic, that’s it really, simple install and great audio, highly recommended by me and I shall be doing all my future reviews with this mic for my audio.
