I have 3 little chihuahuas and a Dalmatian. They all love drinking from this water bowl as it stops them taking too much in their mouths at once, hence preventing choking. Top notch.
I have a miniature schnauzer, with a full beard, so was sceptical about this product. However, we have gone from water trails all over the kitchen floor after my four legged friend had drunk from a conventional water bowl, to the odd drip now and again. On most visits to the new bowl there is no trail, no drips, just a dry floor. Really impressed!
I like the fact it keeps the floor dry, it protects water from getting dirty.

My dog (cocker spaniel) used to gulp down water after exercise and then was sick. This has slowed her down so she gets the water at a better pace.
An added bonus is that there is little or no water spillage on the floor.

Excellent quality. This has helped us with our pup who used to drink water as if he’s never seen it before then ended up throwing up! That’s stopped now. He’s taken to it very quickly and we can trust this in the car while travelling, no spills or drips, and me being a clumsy I’ve even kicked this when walking past and its not spilled a drop!
Good quality, easy to clean and has a large capacity. It took one of my dogs some time to get used to it, but now it’s no problem. They still carry a small amount of water dribble across the floor when they drink from it, but it’s much improved on a standard water bowl.
Looking for a solution to our puppy drinking way too quickly and giving himself hiccups, this worked perfectly for us and would recommend if you are having the same issues. Nice and sturdy on the ground without sliding around. Only criticism is having the use a thin object to open the floating platform for cleaning as is a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise a great product.
I bought this for my ever thirsty German Shepherd who by the time had drank water, made my kitchen floor look like he tried to convert it into a splash pool. This bowl is simply great as now I have a dry kitchen floor after he has had his water. At first he was very suspicious of the water bowl and where the water was, but his need for water kicked in his natural instinct and he started lapping at the hole and found he could continue to lap until he had quench his thirst. Fabulous buy.
Have a hound and he sloshes his water around everytime he drinks, spilling it all over the floor and creating a river across the kitchen. Not anymore, really impressed, no more sloshing over the edge of the bowl, just a couple of drips from his mouth but nothing compared to the puddles we had before.
Seems well made, the floating lid is a bit fiddly to open for washing, but should be easy enough to put in the dishwasher. Easy to refill just pour water into the center. Dog used it straight away, although he’s always been good at smelling out water and puddles to drink from anyway.
Although my dog doesn’t like this bowl it did prevent 90% of the spillage. My dog has made a noise while drinking and he does not drink from it now unless I take the lid off. Not much space in the middle for dogs to get a really good drink. It’s alright but I wouldn’t buy agai
Daughter’s 16m old Cocker Spaniel came to stay and suddenly we had her drinking water dripped all over kitchen floor from her ears and chops whenever drinking from her regular bowl. I ordered this (smaller one) and she understood how to drink from it instantly. No water dripped on floor and her ears remained dry! I then bought another for the lounge which has carpet and not a problem with her drinking in the lounge any more. Who would have thought this water bowl can make such a difference and safer too not to have wet floors in such busy home areas. The top of the water does not get covered in dust or hairs either so is more hygienic. I wash it out completely and refill every morning with fresh water which is all it needs. Totally happy customer and happy dog.
To be honest I’m not one to write reviews however this product deserves one! I have an incredibly bouncy 6 month old lab who has a passion for running around with food and water bowls.. we’ve tried all kind of sizes, shapes, weights and methods but every single one of them ends up being picked up and water spilt absolutely everywhere after just a couple of sips.. I was quite sceptical about the reviews when I purchased this product but by the second time of using it, with me showing him how to press the floating to, he got it!! We’ve now had three weeks of him helping himself to water whenever he wants it, the genius idea of the floating lid has stimulated him into drinking more and it keeps the flys out in the hot weather! I did hold off writing this until the novelty had worn off but we’re now 3 weeks in and we have a happy hydrated puppy, a dry floor and a delighted owner!! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
My issue is the floating part itself. It’s made from 2 pieces of plastic (one coloured, one white) which clip together securely. The join, however, is not watertight, and water seeps into the airspace formed inside the floating disc. I didn’t notice this at first, I was just washing the bowl, rinsing the filter etc, but I heard water sloshing around inside there and couldn’t get it out just by shaking/draining (although a little did come out) so decided to disassemble it for cleaning.
Those two parts do NOT come apart easily! I have to use a table knife, sliding it all around the outside, gently levering the two pieces apart. The water inside had been in there for a little while at this point and was not nice. I bought mine in Jun ’22 and it didn’t come with any way of opening the plate, but I see from the listing there is now a tool included. Hopefully this now solves the problem and my review is now outdated!
My issue was easily solved by only using the top (coloured) part. It still floats (although it maybe sits a little lower), and I didn’t use the filter anyway, so this solution works well for us. If it weren’t for that issue, it would be a 5* product for me!
My german shepherd drips water everywhere when she drinks and I always end up standing in water, especially when I’ve just put on some cosy socks
This bowl is a gamechanger, the floor rarely has a drop of water on it now, there’s not water splashing everywhere when my dog drinks, doesn’t spill when you carry it, looks really nice and just as easy to clean as a normal water bowl!
Some people have asked if it gets dirty?
No, not more than a normal water bowl, my dog sometimes drops food in but the top rim just clips on and off so, super easy to clean!
Also my dog picked it up straight away, didn’t have any trouble getting her to use it. I mean if a dog is thirsty and sees a drop of water they will lick it up, whether it’s a bowl or plate or on the floor, especially if it is where their water normally is. (most dogs anyway)
Overall this is one of the best things I got for my dog (and my soaking socks) so I definitely recommend especially for big slobbery dogs!
