They get more stable as you add more pieces, it’s quite a small kit, but could be expanded by adding others.
I’m thrilled to share my experience with the Magnetic Building Blocks! These toys have been an absolute hit with my son, who has a missing chromosome and is autistic.
We’ve collected several different sets, and they’ve provided endless hours of joy and learning.
Not only are they incredibly fun to play with, but they also promote STEM learning and encourage creativity and imagination.
Plus, the magnetic design makes them easy to use and clean up.
They’ve been the perfect Christmas and birthday gifts for my son, and I highly recommend them to other parents looking for engaging and educational toys for their children.
My two nephews loved these magnetic blocks.endless fun.the more you add to them the bigger the build
Magnets and powerful and the different colours of the blocksvery colourful
Amazing what you can make with these.
Strong durable plastic blocks
These magnetic tiles are very durable for building. Easy to store away or great for on the go. They dont take up much room. Endless possibilities of objects to build. Hours of fun and educational. Hands on toys for adults and/or kids to create and build.
Nice colour magnets to build lots of different designs however those won’t be very sturdy as the magnets are not very strong but will be good enough to hold a bit of weigh
A nice little magnetic construction set which is an alternative to those well-known plastic bricks. Great for kids’ imaginations to build lots of different shapes and buildings. Easy to take apart and reassemble and the pieces are large enough to not easily lose.
The magnetic blocks come in a very nice and presentable packaging. The blocks are of good quality, very bright and colourful. The magnetic blocks do stick well together (strong effective magnets) to form even a 3D shape. Amazing set. It really helps bring out imagination and creativity in kids. Keeps them occupied and away from gadgets for a really long time. Comes with a set of instructions which are fairly easy to follow. Plastic material on these blocks is odourless and the magnets are sealed very well in this plastic casing. Fairly easy to use and clean. Each of these blocks have rounded edges making it even more safe for younger kids. Would make a lovely birthday gift for 3+ years kids.
Hope you find this review helpful.
My four-year-old granddaughter really likes these. They are brightly coloured and their magnetic edges makes creating three-dimensional shapes simple. They are also too big to swallow (although a four-year-old isn’t likely to try) but it’s comforting to know that they’re safe to use unsupervised.
They also don’t make you grit your teeth and cross your eyes in pain when you step on one barefoot (unlike some Lego pieces) 🙂

As a recent orderer of the Magnetic Building Blocks set, I must express my delight in the product’s remarkable capacity to captivate and engage young imaginations for extensive periods. This 36-piece magnetic tile collection stands out for its ability to inspire creativity among youngsters aged 3 to 7 and its commitment to safety and quality. The tiles are crafted from food-grade ABS material, boasting smooth edges and surfaces to ensure a safe play environment. Its durability is commendable, promising to withstand the rigours of countless play sessions. Fusing fun and learning is seamlessly achieved through these magnetic blocks, encouraging children to explore 3D construction while subtly enhancing their fine motor skills, focus, and patience.
My experience with this educational toy has been nothing short of stellar. It serves as a plaything and a conduit for family bonding, enabling meaningful parent-child interactions beyond mere entertainment. The joy of seeing a child engrossed in building and creating, coupled with the opportunity for educational development, makes this set an ideal gift for any occasion. It’s a testament to how a simple concept can transform into an indispensable tool for growth and enjoyment when executed with thoughtfulness and a keen understanding of child development. The Magnetic Building Blocks set is, without doubt, a worthy addition to any child’s play collection, meriting a resounding five out of five stars for its comprehensive approach to playful learning.
This set of 36 magnetic tiles is bright and colorful and can be used as an add one with other magnetic construction sets as you are limited to what you can make with only 36 pieces, however this does make for a great starter set to introduce your child to magnetic tiles and to see if they like it without having to spend a lot of money on a much larger kit.
hese magnetic building blocks offer endless fun for kids, combining coordination and imagination effortlessly. With secure magnets embedded in each piece, there’s no risk of swallowing. Smooth edges and rounded corners ensure safety. The set comes in a charming box, perfect for gifting. Priced reasonably, it’s a steal at 9.99. From simple shapes to complex 3D structures, it’s a journey of learning and creativity. The included booklet sparks ideas for building, fostering collaborative play. Unlike Lego or Duplo, these require minimal effort to connect, ideal for younger children. While the delivery packaging could be better, the joy this kit brings overshadows any flaws.
The magnetic blocks are a decent size – adult palm sized. The colours are great, duo sided, and transparent. Each shape has magnets on each edge which are not overly strong. The magnets are strong enough to hold together, but not too strong that parting them is difficult. There are no sharp bits, they feel nice in the hand. The magnets are secure within the shape.
My children played for less than half an hour making up the given patterns on the included instruction sheet. Patterns are given for both 2d and 3d shapes. Some of the patterns are quite intricate! And others need more than one box to complete.
All in all my children (probably older than the set is intended for) enjoyed this item. My daughter will probably play with it again, enjoying the ability to freestyle the blocks. I think this item would suit girls and boys aged 3 to 6 depending on temperament and intellect.
Although it would make a nice gift for a younger child, a slightly older child would definately need 2 boxes.
They set of magnetic building shapes is a great little starter set, Ideal for trying to see if your child likes it before investing in a bigger more expensive set.
You get enough in this box to build several items and ideas for these are shown on the box itself.
The magnets are really strong so it’s easy to build a shape, You can start off by building cubes and then adding little triangles on for a roof – before you know it they’ll be building cars and aeroplanes.
The colours are lovely, once you build something it’s nice to see the sun catch it as it glows like stained glass, it’s so pretty.
If your child likes this and wants to build something bigger you can just buy another larger set to add onto it as they all work together. This is a great value little starter set offering lots of fun, hand eye coordination and shape recognition.
Summary:
At 9.99 (April ’24) this is budget-friendly, but it’s not compatable with the brand leader.
The positives:
These are a budget-friendly alternative to the brand-leading magnetic building block STEM toy.
They can be used to make all sorts of buildings and shapes and are a fun set of blocks that will keep small children and toddlers entertained for a long time.
The magnets seem to be well mounted and I don’t think there’s any realistic chance of them coming out of the blocks.
These blocks are colourful, and well made.
The negatives:
I found making stable structures a little difficult and I wish the magnets were a little more powerful to offset this issue.
These are significantly smaller than the brand leading blocks – so they can’t be used together. (See my image for a measurement).
The box comprises of just 36 blocks – the main advertisement picture (As of 8 April ’24) can’t be built with just one set!
This is a very attractive and fun set. There are 36 pieces in bright and varied colours, which are magnetic, allowing 2D shapes or 3D structures to be constructed.
The magnetic shapes are easy for a child to handle, and the set encourages imagination as well as manual dexterity and fine motor skills. And of course the set allows a care-giver to interact with the child, encouraging social bonding.
There is also a small booklet of suggested designs. But don’t be afraid to think out of the box!
These pieces fit together magnetically very easily so would make a fun alternative to Duplo or Lego as very little effort is needed. They come with a leaflet which suggests the shapes that you might build and will prove a good toy for kids to play with together or on their own.
