This bag is very good. You can get lots of stuff in it. I bought it for camping as I don’t have a roof rack. It was pouring down when we were driving in the rain to the camp site and everything was bone dry. Easy to fit. But I wish the video gave more info on how to fit it like in the video. I wrote to the company asking what was the bit that the man put the strap through but I got no reply.

After nearly convincing myself to buy roof bars and a box for the family holiday, I opted for one of these at a fraction of the cost.
Ordered the large version, which just about fit on the roof of my Seat Leon, for maximum space. 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog in the car, EVERYTHING had to go in this bag. And it did.
1 large suitcase, 2 holdalls, a pram, and 4 large bag for life’s full of clothes, baby toys, shoes, and towels. Probably could have squeezed a bit more in if needed.
With no roof bars I was relying on the hooks for fitting and, while nervous initially, they worked exceptionally well.
With the bag fitted and loaded I took it for a test run, putting it through more abuse than i’d ever given it with the family in the car. I was actively trying to make it budge and it didn’t. I also gave the car, specifically the points the hooks attached a soak with the hose, seeing how much water the break in the weatherstrip would let in. None whatsoever.
So we set off. 300 miles of motorway speeds didn’t phase it. It clung on tight.
Arriving at our destination everything was safe and dry (we had some heavy showers on the way) and nothing had moved in the bag. A win all round.

The only thing a roof box that this doesn’t is convenience. Getting in and out of it can be a bit of a chore, having to undo multiple straps to open it up enough for access. Something I hadn’t considered until the first time I needed to get the pram out. The cost far outweighs this minor inconvenience though, at least for me.

All in all I’m extremely happy with this roof bag and it will be getting a few more uses this year.

Perfect for freeing up space in the car on a long drive, not so perfect if you’re loading it with stuff you’ll need to access regularly.

I’d definitely recommend it as an alternative to a roof box, especially if you just need something to get luggage or large items from A to B.

It does come with a bag to folad back into for storage, I haven’t tried, it’s just been loosely folded and put in a corner of the shed ready for next time.

Got this and realised it was a perfect alternative to the solid roof boxes! Haven’t had chance to use it yet, but can imagine it will work perfectly. Fit most of the suitcases perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Roof Bag changed everything! So good, and convenient. Tested 100%.
I went from UK through whole Europe. I pass France driving all the way 70miles, and then Germany, and Austria driving 80-90miles. No problem at all.

As you can see on photos, nothing brake, and everything passed well. I done this summer in total 3000 miles with this Roof Bag.
    Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter running out of space in my car to transport a large tent and everything else (incl. the kitchen sink) for a couple of weeks camping, I decided to get this roof bag after reading several positive reports on a camping forum. I did not want the extra expense of having to buy & fit roof bars to my car, so a roof bag was a much cheaper, better and easier solution to my car storage issues. My car has roof rails, and there was no problem fitting the clips, straps and bag to my car. I am so glad I chose Marretoo as the bag looks and feels really solid. The car frame clips were quite difficult to fix to the car, but I managed it and easily refitted the door seals over the clips. In fact, I’ve decided to leave the clips and hooks on my car (with hooks tucked inside) having heard others suggest the same without any problems. The 15l bag seems huge, I only part filled it (with mostly soft items), but it stayed solid the whole journey (~100 miles), thanks to the large non-slip mat and 3 sets of securing straps. I had read that the straps make ‘knocking’ noises at speed, but overcame this by twisting the straps before securing them, which eliminated any noise at all. Packing the bag was easy enough, though I’d advise mounting the bag on the car roof first, then fill the bag on the car — tall person or step stool / ladders needed. The 2 zips made packing and unpacking the bag really easy, and the instructions were good and helpful. The bag did not move in transit, and the contents were 100% protected and dry on arrival after driving through some rain. I didn’t think I’d be able to pack it back into its carry bag, but it does pack down quite small again for storage. I can’t comment on the locks for the zips as I’ve not tried them yet. I’m looking forward to using this bag again for many more years camping trips. I definitely recommend this roof bag.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought to go on top of car to carry camping equipment as didn’t want a solid roof box left on the car and have no roof rack or bars.
Easy to fit. Stays in place at 70mph on motorway. Fits heaps in it.
Waterproof! Strong/sturdy. Used twice now. Attaches inside your door under the door rubbers. No ingress of water or damage to the rubbers.
Fits loads in. Had 4 man tent, annexe, 2 x folding big chairs in bag, folding large aluminium table in bag, tent footprint and carpet, camping gas stove and lots of little items packed into spaces too.
Fitted and packed by 2 people but could be done with one.
Folds away so easy to store when on site so no hard box on roof of car.
Comes with 2 x padlocks so lockable like a suitcase.
Only downside was that locks didn’t work so bought 2 to replace.
    Definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBrought this as boot on new car was not as advertised and roof bars not available yet.
Used to carry 3 bodyboards, camping chairs and bedding in vacuum bags. Did it’s job from Birmingham to Cornwall without moving or any straps coming loose. Used the door seal hooks and worked a dream. Note ensure you tidy up the loose ends of straps to stop flapping about. Noise and drag only becomes apparent over 70MPH on motorway. Only a 4 star review due to the anti slip mat being smaller than the actual footprint of bag but no marks made to paintwork.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAt first i was a bit unsure it would do the job, but it did brilliantly. I got 1 large suitcase, 1 small suitcase, 8 camping chairs, a microwave, 3 sleeping bags, 4 pillows, 1 duvet, 2 blankets, 3 double air beds, 3 single air beds and a few other small bits.
Went on the motorway and it didn’t move at all.
I would definitely recommend this bag over a roof box, you can get more in it, it takes up less space when not being used and its a a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the previous reviews which led me to buy this – total game changer! I managed to collect daughter from uni with all her stuff in one trip and would not have been possible without this brilliant roof bag!
I was worried that it would slip or fall off on the journey but there was no need to worry and I didn’t really notice any difference in the drive, other than being under load. All arrived home intact after a 3 hour drive including the M25.
It is quite tricky to load up on the roof as I’m quite short but stood on the door frame and we managed.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was not even aware that such a product existed, I thought you needed roof bars to attach anything to the roof. We took this to spain on the roof of our Vauxhall Zafira B. We had 7 Passengers in the car so we needed the space. The ties included seem sufficiently sturdy, but we supplemented them with some bungee cords that we already had.
It got easier to install and load at each use, so by the time we were coming home we were quite expert at it.
It never moved an inch on the roof doing motorway speeds (though I tried to keep it to 110kph, I am sure I drifted north of that).
Wonderful product, would recommend to anyone. Will be using it again before the end of the summer when we go to Donegal.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersMe and my wife are keen campers and now we have 2 children and alot of gear we felt it was either the end of camping or a new bigger expensive car which we could not afford. We do not have the space to store a solid roof box so we thought we would try a roof bag. We made the right choice. This 21 cubic litre bag fit loads in. It was easy to attach and did not move one bit. I was nervous at first doing 60 mph but i heard no wind turbulence or drag so was soon doing 80. It coped with 2 x 2hr drives with ease and freed so much space up in the car we were easy able to camp with 2 children and all our gear even extras like a blow up kayak and pizza oven we were able to take. I have nothing to compare it against but this bag would take some beating. It folds down to hardly anything too. I never leave reviews but felt this deserved one. Go for the 21l if your unsure which size to get. Better to go bigger than regret going smalle

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI found this product whilst looking for a roof box for our family holiday. I have a 7 seater Zafira and there was 6 of us going plus the dog and 1 was a newborn baby so needed pram and alot of luggage. I was very concerned about space and comfort travelling.

This was perfect I manage to fit two large very full suitcases in it all the bucket and spades and extra little bags. It meant that the pram was able to go in the boot as normal and that everyone had plenty of room for their feet.

Took me about an hour to put on and get loaded the first use. When we got there it was easy to take off and fold to store. On the return journey took less than half hour to get it all done and is safely folded and easily stored ready for the next holiday.

Would definitely recommend this product to others.
