Great shaver, I used to buy Philips but no more when a shaver like this is available at such a great price and easily as good if not better in my opinion!
This is the second of these u have bought first one lasted about five years and the clones ring the head piece failed, otherwise still works. This one has power meter and works as well ideal purchase
This is an excellent product. Nice comfortable shave, with a safety feature which allows you to switch to a locked off mode when travelling. The operating instructions are well written with only one grammatical error, maybe the Chinese getting their act together with these type of products. Recommended as a travelling shaver.
Bought to replace a Philips shaver. Feels more flimsy, but shaves equally well at an affordable price. Battery life appears good, but haven’t had it long enough to be objective.
My first ever electric razor and I’m very impressed. I have been using this product for a couple of months now and I have to say I’m very happy with the product. For the money you pay, you are getting very good value in both manufacturing quality and performance.
It takes me around 10 minutes to methodically go over my whole face in slow circular motion, using light pressure at first during the first pass, and then gradually adding more pressure on the second and third pass. For me, this results in a very clean and close shave that rivals a wet shave with Gillette blade, which is how I was shaving my whole life before giving this device a go.
Note: I have not risked taking this electric near water and do not plan to. The dry shave is best.
The quality of this razor is quite exceptional for its price. It comes delivered with a full charge, the usual instructions and a plastic blade cover. I have only had this for a week and the shave is good but not exceptional. Considering the price compared to Philips or Remington shavers this is good value. Time itself will show if it has the staying power of the aforementioned razors.
As always, I’m sceptical about new things and preferred to keep with my old style, Phillips shaver – but this shaver this was so cheap and little more than the cost of a spare set blades for my Phillips so I decided to give it a go. I’m glad I did as it lives up to all the claims, and it’s been a smooth run and a smooth shave, right through until now, nearly 2 years after purchase. I love that it tells me how much charge is left, such a feature on the Phillips costs a lot of money, but most of all I love the fact it gives me a decent shave continuously day after day. I shall hope to keep it going for a while longer and when the time comes I’ll replace it with another from the same company.
The first time i used it the finish was quite good, the second time a little bit better. I have always used a wet razor blade, So it bit unfair to compare them, But i will still use it…
This shaver is so easy to handle, easy to use and gives a super close shave. Keeping it clean is as easy as most other similar shavers, but it gives a sense of pride in keeping a really good piece of kit in great condition.
In short I like it so far.
Apart from about 3 years when I had a foil shaver I HAD been a daily Philishave user for over 65 years. My last two Philishave shavers however have been expensive failures. One Battery failed 2 days outside warranty and then the shaver head failed on its replacement. A new head was quite expensive (more than this shaver) and quite soon started falling off while shaving.
Despite some concerns about trying an unknown brand I decided to try MAX-T after looking at a number of alternatives. It is still early days but so far I am impressed. It is currently not giving quite as close a shave as some of my previous razors but is at least as good as my two most recent ones and seems to be improving. Based on my previous experience it will probably improve further as it beds in over the next few weeks. I only use it as a dry shaver before my shower, just like all my previous razors.
It as FAR easier to clean than the two most recent Philishave razors. It cost about the same as the replacement shaving head which then only lasted a few months before it started falling off while shaving.
I like the display of battery state and the battery lasts well enough (over a week) and seems to be improving as it is now giving me a closer shave in less time as I get used to it.
I was initially concerned that I could not charge it using my existing UK shaver socket. It would obviously be far more convenient to charge in the bathroom. UK regulations require an isolated shaver socket and I could not find a UK shaver to USB adaptor. I did however find a European 2 pin to USB adaptor on Amazon and further research on the relevant standards showed that it had only slightly different (pin spacing) from the UK shaver plug. It does fit perfectly into my UK shaver socket! The transformer isolation in the shaver socket provides the essential safety isolation.
This is what I bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09MWF1JQX?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details

Brilliant battery life had 10 shaves with 2nd charge. Bought it for use as a back-up spare and also take away on holiday rather than main razor. Like the USB charging as it cuts down on bulky plugs. As a cheap back-up it meets all my needs.
Had the razor some two months now and taken it away on two, week long, cycling holidays. Performance and quality of shaves are so good that I’ve promoted this razor to my first choice every day. Just note that over the last 2-3 years I’ve been using a 230 Braun 9000 series razor and then a 170 Braun 7000 series razor. In fact 5 of the 9000 series and 2 of the 7000 series all returned owing to software faults! Beautiful razors to hold but absolute dogs to use. In 7 months I bought 3 replacement shaving heads for the 7000 series. At 39 a time that is expensive shaving. The razor ripped my face to bits when the foils failed despite careful usage. The shaved results were not that good also – never again.
What is good about the Max-T razor is there is no painful feeling in my skin during and after shaving. In addition, it’s a closer shave than any of the previous razors – didn’t expect to make that comment with a 26 razor. I originally bought the razor as if it turned out to be no good in use then 26 was not a lot to loose. Nice being proved wrong.
Two years ago I purchased a Philips 9000 wet and dry series shaver which cost about 170 and the blades went blunt in 2 months, but I persevered with the shaver due to the cost, but now it’s saying I need to replace the blades which cost 50 on Amazon, so I looked for another shaver.
My choice was between the Max T 3D and the SweetLF 3D shaver, but I couldn’t find any replacement blades for the SweetLF shaver, so I purchased the Max T 3D shaver.
The shaver arrived on time, charged and lasted 19 shaves, my 1st charge lasted 29 shaves and the 2nd charge lasted 26 shaves and the shaver charges very quick, so I’m very happy. I have been using the shaver for two and a half months and I’m still getting a very close shave, much, much closer than the Philips 9000 ever did when new, so the Max T beats the Philips 9000 shaver hands down at a fraction of the cost.
I have had Philips shavers for the past 45 years and I was very dubious about buying this cheap shaver made in China, but it has far exceeded my expectations, so I and very happy with my purchase and it’s goodbye Philips forever.
Also the replacement head only cost 12 not 50 so its win, win.
NOTE: I have only used it for a dry shave.
I will update when the shaver blades go blunt.
9 January 2020 I replaced the 3 blades.
Update 28 February 2019, Note: when you wash the shaver head and drying , keep the usb charging socket as high as possible as I’ve had water come out of the socket when left horizontal. Otherwise I’ve had no other problems so far.
Update June 2021, About 6 months ago the flip up trimmer stopped working. The plastic cover that protects the 3 blades, one of the clips has broken off and the cover keeps falling off. Still shaving on the replacement 3 blades.
