I had ordered another brand which were really uncomfortable and awkward to put on. These are super simple to install and work great! Probably the best option on amazon right now.
Exactly what you need to help keep the controllers in your hand. Fully adjustable and fit my sons hands (age 6) aswell as mines. Very easy to fit to the grips and would recommend.
Easy to install and put on which it took me a hot sec, but when i figured out how to install the hooks at the bottom it was smooth sailing.
My hands are big so was hoping they didn’t put my hands too close to the thumb sticks which luckily they dont so its nice and easy and dont have to worry about removing anything to get the batteries its just in and out.
If you have small hands on the tightest setting you wont be able to reach the far buttons so leave it a bit loose but like this they are secure just dont try throwing grenades in game as hard with an over hand
Attaches securely.
No sensor blocking
No pinching (my last grip pinched due to buckle near index finger).
Cheap and a joy to use. Shame they don’t do a better looking premium version.
If you don’t care about having a grippy cover added to the hand strap and you don’t have especially small hands, just go for it. These are well-made and I have a feeling would work for a lot of people’s needs. I recommend installing them differently than the instructions say – take the strap out of the metal bit, slip the metal bit into the wrist strap spot, put the battery cover on and then slip the strap back into the metal bit and adjust to fit each hand.
I don’t mind much that these don’t have an additional cover for grip, but it is a bit of an issue for me because I have fairly small hands for an adult. Because of that, it’s difficult to get my hand to fit on these in a way the I can reach the triggers and the B/Y buttons at the same time. However it’s worth noting that I’ve had trouble with this with all hand straps like this I’ve tried for my Quest 3 so it’s not just a fault of this product.
If I could change one thing to make it a little easier for me to reach, I’d pick swapping the actual strap for something more like a soft fabric that’s a bit stretchy, but again, I think these would work very well for most people especially at the price.
Hand straps are Brilliant as you will see in the video lol they were cheap as chips too and the quality is very good a must in my opinion, now to try the face cover thing because the one with the quest 3 is a joke, hope this helps (honest review from a council estate) and we love spending our days not working and just playing video games
I’ve used many of these knuckle strap adapters and they all seem to force your hand out of the natural position your hand grips the controllers and makes you have to use awkward parts of your thumbs to control the analog sticks but this one does NOT do that. It even feels as comfier than the Index controller since it’s much smaller and lighter.
I recently bought a Quest 3 and needed to pick up some grips to stop me throwing my controllers across the room in Dungeons of Eternity. I chose these because I had seen a positive review on Youtube and, for the price, they seemed like a steal (I got them for 9.87!)
I’ve had them for a few days now, playing DoE, Ghosts of Tabor and other games where the throwing mechanics make controller grips a necessity. I must say that I’m very pleased with them. They were incredibly easy to attach, and their simple design makes it easy to get a snug and comfortable fit. I was slightly concerned that they would have no give in them and be rough on the skin, as the straps look like the sort of webbing you might have on a bag strap. However, it turns out that my fears were unfounded. They are slightly elasticated which makes them easy to slide on and off and they don’t feel rough against the skin at all. And, because of the slight elasticity they stay nice and secure with very little flopping around (my old Quest 2 grips suffer from this).
Price-wise, they are crazy economical, costing about a quarter of the price of the official ones and half as much as other well-known brands.
Some reviewers have mentioned the velcro not being very powerful but I would argue that this is not the case. They have intentionally gone with patches of velcro regularly spaced rather than one long strip. I personally find this to be very secure but also straightforward to undo to adjust the length. I’d rather this than they use really strong velcro that you couldn’t readjust with one hand.
In conclusion (in case you couldn’t work it out) I’m very happy with these grips. They provide a secure, comfortable experience at a fraction of the cost of other options, making them an excellent choice for any Quest 3 owner!
Excellent straps. Look exactly like the ones from the meta store, albeit the official quest 3 ones are black. Plastic shell looks and feels identical to the OG one. Works perfectly with official charge
I really love these straps. they are so simple and easy to fit. you cant get it wrong.
I have tried a few other grips and strap combos but realll didnt like them as the upper attachment point for all previous straps was always positioned really wierd and would always interfere with my hold on the controllers.
These have the upper atachment point as high as its going to get on the controller body and therefore not interfere with my grip and controller micro-orientation.
Becuase it is a battery cover replacement there is nothign that obstructs the sensors on the controller so this does not have any negative impact at all on tracking. The look is very OEM, the feel of the material and the colour are a very good match. The strap has a very slight elasticity to it which is a good choice for comfort.
And of course easily adjustable for diffrent hand sizes and ‘secureness’ preferences.
I highly recommend these to anyone who has not been happy with a lot of the other options. I could almost give these 5 stars but I am interested to see how well these will hold up over time. I think the only weakness in this product is the upper attachment point. The flat woven (nylon?) strap just apears to be ‘adhered’ to the inside of the plastic battery housing. Not sure how durable this ‘joint’ is and how much stress and strain it can take before failing.
I am not criticising this method of attachment as I can understand the constraints that affect the design, the limited space under the battery cover and the need to NOT affect ergenomics and comfort of the controller. Also if it does fail after a reasoable amount of time and use, at least they are not absudrdly priced to make ordering replacements fairly palatable.
There are two types of knuckle strap grips of which I have a few. One type is those that have a silicone skin that goes over the controller but the problem with those, is that they reduce the tracking areas, some can be negligible, some more than others but they all to some extent reduce tracking sensitivity.
This Knuckle strap grip is of the other type and my preferred type, that keeps it minimal, no silicone cover, just the knuckle strap that is tethered to a replacement battery cover.
An important factor I always consider, is how secure is the grip. I am unsure about this one. I think I feel safe in one way as the cover clicks in as securely as the original battery cover. That’s so important. The Velcro strap feels adequate enough in stick strength in the session of VR gaming I have had with it, but I don’t feel it is as strong as others, the Velcro stick feels weak in comparison. I would have also liked the Velcro strap to be longer to ensure a stronger stick. See my picture for the how short the area of Velcro stick is. Is that enough? I would feel safer if that was longer.
