Fantastic quality. I purchased this for my 6 year old son after learning about the planets at school. He loves this puzzle and can complete it himself. Large puzzle with clear pictures of the planets, encouraged dirtier discussion and learning about the solar system.

Excellent space puzzle, by far favouite of all purchased. 24 big chunky pieces. 33 month old and parents love. Big, bright with all eight planets on view from the moon. Page enclosed with names of each planets in multiple languages. Extremely educational and fun to assemble.

My 4yo absolutely loves jigsaws and he’s currently mad about everything space. This jigsaw is brilliant for him learning his plannets as well as fine motor skills. A bright, colourful jigsaw highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this for my 4yo grandson who loved anything to do with space. He loved it! The pieces are a good size and he found it easy to put together. Once completed it looks like a magnificent picture. There’s a sheet included with everything numbered to tell you which is which. I would recommend this as a wonderful activity for them to do with you and alone.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersvery educative puzzle, colourful and of high resolution. it would take a while for a child to picture the puzzle, as it may confuse her : she cannot always understand that the perspective in taken from the point where a person is standing on the moon. The planets seem not to be in the order the child knows. ( Mercury venus earth mars jupiter saturn uranus neptune)
It is always tricky to assemble to sun ( all yellow). Good size and good quality.

My four year old absolutely loves this jigsaw. It has really vibrant colours, with great sturdy pieces that are quite chunky. It is a large jigsaw but when completed you will honestly stand back and say wow!! It’s very tough and durable! My son must have done this at least fifty times! If your child is into space/ planets/ moon. I’d highly recommend this. They’ll love it, it’s amazing!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA really good quality jigsaw for children. It’s a little bit too hard for my three-year-old to do by herself as there’s lots of quite similar pieces, but she enjoys doing it with help and she’ll grow into it. As a physics teacher I would say it’s not ideal for teaching your children about the solar system as it’s from the prospective of the moon so your child may believe the moon is the largest thing in the solar system. Otherwise, it is a lovely, good quality jigsaw and a starting point for little astrophysicists, hence the four stars.

Melissa & Doug jigsaws are great for under-5’s, as the pieces are large and robust and will stand up to little ones’ determination to force them into the wrong place! I bought 2 of the Solar System puzzles for 2 4-year-old great nephews for their birthdays, as they are both interested in the stars and planets. Only one has been received yet, but his Dad informs me that he loved it.

My grandson aged nearly four loved this and does it time and time again as there is so much to look at and talk about once the jigsaw is completed. Nice thick pieces, lovely colours and interesting picture. Will need to buy more difficult ones in future as he now takes just minutes to complete! Jigsaws are a great way to get children thinking mathematically – would thoroughly recommend!

Bought this for my 5 year old autistic grandson who is currently mad about the planets of the solar system.

It is brilliant in every way. The picture is beautiful, bold colours and very clear. Each piece is has a lovely feel, not too thin or thick, very well cut and fixes together easily.

My Grandson is especially pleased that the picture includes the asteroid belt and a big bold sun!

    Could not be happier.

I have bought this for my 5 yr old daughters birthday so she hasn’t seen it or put it together yet (but my husband and I have!) I am sure she will love it. The jigsaw will be great for doing on the floor as it is quite large, the pieces are excellent quality and the picture I am sure will teach her a lot whilst being great fun too! This is my first Melissa and Doug product I have bought and it will not be the last. Quality and value for money!

Good, chunky, durable pieces enabled our disabled child to enjoy this puzzle without the frustrations he experiences with some others we have tried.

Very good value educationally as we have covered and are still covering the subject of the planets and space travel.

We are now very keen to try other Melissa and Doug puzzles.

One small problem is that the pieces are difficult to fit back easily into the box. Perhaps a slightly bigger box would be better.
