This gadget is a must have. It installs easily and quickly. Its quite quiet, unless you seriously put the Pi through its paces, but then you know its working great. The price point is a good one at 9.99 (as of 11.04.24) and WILL prolong the life of your Pi, so theres no reason not to order one of these. Highly recommend.
This is a nice little fan on a heatsink for your Pi 5. It comes with five thermal pads of various sizes, screws and screwdriver so you don’t need any added extras to use it.
It’s well worth cooling your PI for performance or longevity and this seems to do a perfectly good job of it without being obnoxiously loud. Realistically there’s only so much you can do if you need to cool something so small and keep the case small and smaller fans are louder for the airflow you get as the blades spin faster.
I think most users would be fine with this, and if you needed more cooling on a Pi it’s probably because you’re creating something for a really intensive use case and know what you’re doing.
Cooler arrived neatly packed in a professionally printed cardboard box.
In the box you get the aluminium cooler and some thermal pads.
In use the cooler is nicely sized and fits the Raspberry Pi well without blocking anything that it shouldn’t.
Seems to work well and isn’t too tall that it fouls the Raspberry Pi case and seems to keep the unit about 5 cooler than the official cooler.
Good value for Pi users.
I use my Raspberry Pi for RetroPi emulation of old consoles. Emulating later consoles such as the PS1 or n64 can be particularly hard on the Raspberry Pi, so extra cooling can help avoid thermal throttling. The heat sink comes with all the stand offs, thermal pads and connectors you need to fit it, including a tiny screwdriver.
The fan is a little loud at higher speeds, but it’s a small, inexpensive fan, so that’s kind of to be expected. The fan is trying to pull air from behind and upward, but there’s no holes to do so. Instead it’s trying to pull air in from the sides, which isn’t as efficient. Either way, it works.
Easy to install and does a great job of reducing the heat output. The fan is whisper quiet and busily works away prolonging the life of my Pi 5. At under 10, it is a bit of a no brainer in my opinion. Nothing more to say, other than it works as expected and very satisfied with this product overall.
his is a very useful cooler for your pi5. installation is straightforward and it should help you avoid overheating issues with the extra oomph the pi5 is pushing out compared to older models.

I got this heat sink for Raspberry Pi 5 to keep it nice and cool.
Everything is provided for installation. Just attach the thermal pads ,line up the fan with the holes on the board and secure with the screws from underneath (screwdriver supplied in kit).
It is fairly quiet compared to other heatsinks I have bought for the Pi 4.
Well worth it.
