He puts his lunch and lap top and other essentials and it seems strong enough for everything. He is pleased with it. Its also water proof unlike the old one. Its comfy and has lots of extra storage pockets, I used to hike, it would be too flimsy for that, but for everyday use, its fine.
I love hiking, and a reliable backpack is essential. This one has loads of storage space, and it kept my gear dry even in heavy rain. The adjustable straps were comfy for longer hikes, and I didn’t feel weighed down even with a full pack. Bonus points for the side pockets that were perfect for mywaterbottle.

I can find nothing to give this less than 5 stars. It is very well made from a strong material and the zips are strong and free running. Plenty of room for your stuff and good padding on the shoulder straps. Can’t comment on the waterproof claims but I can see no reason to doubt that.
I like it and I’m happy to recommend
This 65L Hiking Rucksack by Mxaeyr is a good well designed rucksack for all outdoor pursuits or weekends away.
The rucksack is made of rugged, tear-resistant Oxford fabric that is also waterproof and hard wearing.
This particular rucksack comes in grey and black but is also available in just black.
The front of the rucksack has 2 zipped pockets for storing quick access items and then inside is another quick access pocket for sunglasses or mobile phone.
On either side of the rucksack is a drinks mesh which has plenty of space for a decent sized drinks bottle.
The main compartment inside the rucksack feels huge and this is where it would be ideal as a weekend carry backpack or for carrying a large amount of items for hiking.
There is a sleeve inside that you could put a laptop or tablet into although I do find it is not that big if you laptop is quite large and so feels a bit of an after thought.
On the back of the rucksack are the carry straps that are well padded and adjustable with another waist strap as well.
Overall this is a brilliant weekend away backpack or carry larger items as it is so spacious inside and feels really good quality and looks good too plus for the price does feel premium and I recommend it.
When I see a backpack described as 65L I am never really sure of what size 65L is going to be in terms of height and width. This backpack is approximately 57cm heigh x 35cm wide when laid flat, so is a full size adults backpack and weighs in at about 850 grams so is nice and light.
Inside the backpack is a large main compartment which covers the full length and width of the backpack and has two zips for either way opening and closing. Inside that main compartment is a small zippered pouch at the top big enough to put a passport, mobile phone or anything of similar size. At the bottom of the main compartment is an open pouch large enough to put a laptop, large tablet or textbook in to keep it from moving around too much.
The next compartment is only slightly smaller than the main one and has a single zip for closure.
On the outside of the backpack at the top is a small zippered pouch approximately 13cm high x 18cm wide and is really only suitable for some loose change or rail tickets etc. Then at the bottom of the backpack is semi circle shaped zippered pouch approximately 30cm wide x 18cm high. I found this to be rather awkward to access and because of the way it opens I probably wouldn’t use this other than to maybe put some sandwiches or a snack in.
On each side of the backpack are small open top mesh pockets for putting drink bottles in and these are approximately 20cm deep.
It has slightly padded shoulder straps and a small amount of padding on the back of the pack where it rests on your back.
Overall I am extremely pleased with this backpack, the material is of a robust thickness and is waterproof, the zips are all of good quality and run extremely smoothly and most importantly the backpack is comfortable to wear. Recommended.
This is a great collapsible lightweight rucksack, and very roomy.
I wouldn’t like to fill it with kit and then walk a long way with it, as it has no real frame to position the weight correctly on the back, and 64l is a lot of weight! But as a weekend bag, or a half-full rucksack with ‘room for more if you need it’, it’s really good.
The fabric feels tightly woven and robust, despite being quite thin to keep it light, and the main fabric is waterproof although of course none of the zips are, so although it would stand a few light showers with zero problems, you would need a rain cover if you think it’s going to pour–but that’s true of any rucksack with exposed zips. I should mention that these zips are *very* exposed, with no rain flap at all. So definitely take a waterproof cover!
It has a useful but not ridiculous number of pockets, and the zips all feel of reasonable quality, as well as the usual mesh pockets on either side. It also has two pull-straps above them, so that the mesh pockets can be used to carry walking sticks, with the straps holding them tight to the rucksack, plus the straps can be pulled tight to keep the rucksack narrow to the back, making it easier to distribute the load.
The straps are pretty adjustable, so both myself (a 5’10 slight woman) and hubby (6’2 big bloke) can get this to a comfortable position. It also has a hip strap, which again should help to balance the load properly. The plastic clips all feel secure and fasten/unfasten well. The padding on the straps isn’t amazing, particularly for the size of the rucksack, but again, I wouldn’t ever fill this to capacity and actually intend to carry it for more than 20 mins. For a weekend-away, carry-round-town-style rucksack, they’re fine.
All the stitching seems well done, even, and with no skips or loose ends, and the straps have been heat-treated to stop fraying. All the buckles and fasteners worked fine, and did their job. The general feel is of a well made budget rucksack (but remember you need a waterproof cover).
All in all, for the price, this is a great lightweight foldable rucksack. It’s not going to replace a frame rucksack by any means, but it has its place, and for the price you’re getting a roomy rucksack.
I am quite fussy about backpacks as I have used quite a few over the years and there is usually of them that really annoy me.
I am very pleased with this rucksack, it feels good to wear and it doesn’t dig in anywhere. It is cushioned on your back.
It is quite large, is about the size of my adult male back, and while it feels sturdy it isn’t in itself heavy. If you have it on without much in it, it doesn’t feel large on your back. It has two seperate large compartments going to the bottom. There is a small compartment at top and another small one at the bottom which is more weather proof as the zip is covered, but the way the zip curves around, opening and closing it is a bit fiddly. There are also mesh drink bottle holders on both sides.
Overall really happy with this rucksack, hopefully it will last me for years!
