This Mytrix Wireless Black-Ice Pro Controller looks like a cheap toy aimed at kids in the photo’s but in reality it’s a much more solidly-made and higher quality controller than it seems. However the Mytrix needs to unlearn a few tricks because it really tries to do too much for one controller and it falls short in a couple of ways. The basic build quality is really good and the controller has a solid feel and doesn’t creak and crack when you squeeze or twist it, unlike standard Xbox controllers for example. Note that this controller isn’t natively compatible with recent Xbox Series X|S models because it doesn’t support Xbox Wireless and only has Bluetooth on board – works great with PC’s though.
You get all the buttons you’d expect plus a couple more, including a pair of configurable secondary buttons underneath. They buttons are all labelled (and configured by default) as a Nintendo Switch controller (even in PC mode) but they’re reconfigurable using the KeyLinker app on your smartphone, the app isn’t available for PC. You can also use the app to switch between different sensitivity curves for the Hall effect joysticks and the triggers or create your own custom curves. If you’re playing on PC, which I am, there’s a slight frustration because the View and Menu buttons are stuck in non-standard positions and are not reconfigurable. Tip when using the KeyLinker app – don’t pair the controller with your phone’s Bluetooth first, just open the app and connect from within that, otherwise it doesn’t work right.
You can customise the interior LED’s using key-combo commands on the controller itself and it’s easy to get your own customised RGB look although you’re limited to a small number of preset colours. For example, the joysticks can be set to respond to movement, so the further you push the stick the brighter the surrounding light gets and it’s surprising accurate and responsive. The sticks and triggers are responsive in play too and easily as good as standard Xbox controllers (better really) and because they’re more configurable you can tailor them to exactly suit your style.
The main problem I’ve had is missing features in certain modes, for example there are good force-feedback motors in each arm of the controller but in wireless PC mode they don’t work at all. If you switch the controller into Nintendo Switch mode and then use the Steam app on your PC to recognise the controller as if it was a Switch controller then rumble suddenly works. There are a few other inconsistencies but overall it’s still a very decent controller, much better than I’d expected from the pictures, and if you’ve got a couple of different devices to switch between (pun intended) it makes sense. It’s a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades though and you could find a feature you like isn’t available in the mode you want to use.
This controller not only looks good, but feels nice in the hands, not too big. It connects easily to my Switch, charges quickly, and you can adjust the rumble. A good value addition to your gaming set up.
Great Controller, easy to set up, charge and use. Bluetooth which is a big plus as theres nothing worse than gaming with a wired controller. I have quite small hands (5″1) so this fits me perfectly, would highly recommend.
The Mytrix Wireless Controller arrives very well packaged, in the box were the wireless controller, USB charging cable and the instruction manual, the instructions are clear and comprehensive., plus a leaflet with detailing other controllers and products available.
The controller is very well made and feels very good quality in your hands, it is comfortable to hold. It can be connected to a variety of different devices including the switch Lite and Oled, Android and Windows.
The USB charging cable is a good length, and feels good quality. When using the controller the buttons and joysticks are comfortable and smooth having the added light effects is a nice touch and there is a variety of colours the controller cycles through.
I have used this with the Switch Oled and it connected quickly and worked really well, you can set the controller to your individual preferences for instance the vibration can be turned up or down and the RGB lights can be turned off amongst other things.
I my opinion this a excellent controller and it does everything you need it to.
This wireless controller is available in different colours-mine is the black ice.The controller has decent longevity on the charge.Two hours charge provides you with circa 15 hours of usage.
The build of the controller feels solid and is comfortable to hold in your hands.From an aesthetics perspective I am not overly keen on the transparent,skeletal look of the controller-it makes it look ugly in my opinion.Other than that this is a top controller that can be linked with laptops,phones and tablets.

Material quality
The materials used on this game controller, are nothing but premium plastics, literally every Material part that’s been used is premium quality (I kid you not !!!)
When I first saw this in the advertising pictures, it looked nothing special at all, that was until I had it in front of me, and my gosh, this is not just a serious games controller, it’s the BEST games controller that you’ll ever buy or need to buy again !!

You can download the app called KeyLinker and this will allow you to program practically to do anything that you want it to do (within reason)

The RGB lighting just adds that extra touch to that overall gaming experience and you have several lighting choices to choose from.
You will from time to time get controller updates via the KeyLinker app, so this will enable a lot more lighting choices to choose from, along with extra controller actions within the near future.
Using whilst in gameplay :
This controller is the business, and it’s the one thing that’s not playing around.
You do need to jump into the KeyLinker app and get the controller personalised to how you just like it.
The controller is precise and extremely accurate, and not once did it miss a beat in the actions that I took with it, and after a while, having a controller like this is as natural as using your very own hands arms and mind
Battery life :
The battery life on the Mytrix Wireless Pro is remarkable, I’ve been using this for the last few days of my testing, and it’s given me no hint of being needed to be juiced up yet.
I did find one annoying thing about this controller, and that is, I haven’t found out a way of how to fully turn the controller off !!?.
Because there is nothing in the manual, no switch or button, so was this on since it left the manufacturer’s factory on, because if it has then it’s got one fantastic power management system inside of it, or am I just missing something so simple?
You will love the overall build and quality of this controller, and it’s like it was built by the Ferrari of gaming controllers, due to the sheer luxuriousness of it all
So a very big recommendation from myself as a YT Tech reviewer and advisor.

Feels sturdy, heavy and high quality. Works well with pairing it to my Android tablet. Battery life is great. Only thing is it switches on easily. Any buttons switches it on. Wish there was a dedicates on/off button that you can manually flick so that J can carry it in my bag and not worry about it turning on and using battery
I have a pro switch controller but I wanted a spare for when I have people over. So when I came across this one and saw the design and love it bought it immediately not expetecting much for the performance wise as its almost half the price of the pro. But it did not just meet expectation but exceeds it.
The vibration was powerfull and it was nice to have a choice tone it up or down. Quick responses just like the pro and the battery life is great.
Intended to use this as a spare but I’m now using this more than the pro!
