Okay so for the price this thing is absolutely amazing all lights on and projecting on the ceiling and i have leds in this room as a portable speaker the harman kardons are viable for a portable speaker doesnt blow me away for speakers designed by them but it is sufficient enough. But picture quality for the price is amazing I do wish it had auto keystone correction but the price point and what you get i’m happy hopefully over time this thing holds up alrigh
This projector is amazing, the picture is super clear and the colors are beautiful. It can play videos over HDMI, USB-C or using it’s built in Android system. IT has a great build quality and it looks really nice. It is tiny compared to my other projector. It is a 1080P projector but can take 4k inputs, it has a sleep timer and wifi. The fan is a little louder than I expected but I expect that has a lot to do with how small the projector is. Overall I am extremely happy with this projector, it’s image quality and it’s sound quality.
What’s really good? The speakers are better than I expected. Other than that, nothing is better than I expected. It’s good, but not great, and not worth $900 when compared with others. I’ve had maybe five or six projectors. I’m using this to replace one in our home theatre room. It’s about the same brightness. It’s not brighter, and I expected brighter. I have a large movie screen on the wall. It’s designed to reflect projection, and with this, I still have a better picture dimming the lights. The auto focus works pretty well, but then out of the blue, the picture will shift and it auto-focuses again. I turned that off. One you use manual focus, it stays, and it’s good. The auto keystone works pretty well, but not perfect, so I decided to do that manually, too. That’s the most frustrating thing about this. I’ve never seen a projector that has keystone adjustments as difficult as this projector. First of all, you don’t see accurate changes as you make adjustments. And you have to re-start the projector each time to see the actual changes you’ve made. You heard that right. You have to re-start the projector before the keystone adjustments take effect. But once you get it set, it’s set. Oh, but I still haven’t gotten it right. Three of the four corners look good, but the lower right still should shift to the right, and nothing I’ve done does it without moving something else out of adjustment. And again, you can’t see the actual changes you’re making until you re-start. Yes, the picture moves while you’re shifting the keystone, just not accurately. But I’ve got it pretty close, and so, four stars.
It has frozen on me twice now while starting up. Nothing works until you cut the power and then plug it back in. That’s only happened twice. I wish it had a “black-out” feature on the remote. You can go through some steps to turn off the “light,” but anyone in the room sees the screen as you do that. Other projectors have one button that black the screen. I miss that. I wish it had a manual zoom. The digital zoom is by increments that are too broad. Where I wanted to put this, the projection over-fills or under-fills my screen when I use its zoom. So, I had to change the physical location … move it closer … which in my case was not convenient. My other projector has manual zoom, and I can put the video precisely where I want it. But I will say again, this has better on-board speakers than my other projector. Most people don’t use the built-in speakers in a home theatre, though. But these are pretty good if you need them. And there are a lot of features … like connecting to wi-fi, built-in apps, etc. Bottom line: it’s a good projector after you go through the painstaking process of adjusting the keystone … if you’re not happy with the less than precise auto-keystone. After that, it’s good, but still, overpriced. If they come out with a firmware update and improve the keystone, that will be great. And if they decide they can lower the price, it will be more competive with other good projectors.
We lurve our R150! We’ve never had a projector but wanted one for car camping.
Read the quick start guide.
1. Pairing the remote was easy.
2. Easy connection to Wi-Fi.
3. Easy firmware update
4. Great option to install streaming apps onto the device
5. Screen mirroring from iPhone 14 Plus to watch Netflix and Prime Video was easy with either an HDMI cable or Bluetooth was easy. Only tried out Netflix so far. Plan on testing Prime Video and Disney+ later.
6. Sound is great but I’m not an audiophile.
7. Picture was vibrant and brigh
I recently discovered this sleek and portable projector that immediately caught my attention due to its compact design, which makes it perfect for on-the-go viewing or outdoor activities. One of the standout features of this projector is its ability to project images onto the ceiling, which is perfect for cozy movie nights in bed or for creating a unique atmosphere at a party.
In addition to its ceiling projection feature, the projector boasts a 300 ANSI lumens of brightness that provides a clear and sharp image, making it perfect for movie nights. The built-in Harman Kardon speakers also deliver powerful and high-quality sound, eliminating the need for external speakers and making it even more convenient and portable.
Another great feature of this projector is its compatibility with streaming devices like Roku Stick and Fire Stick, which allows easy access to favorite content directly from the projector. The projector is also smartphone-compatible, enabling the casting of content from the phone to the screen. After downloading the Remote Control App and connecting the projector and smartphone to the same Wi-Fi network, pairing is easy, and streaming of favorite content from the phone is possible.
This projector boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to 3 hours in projector mode and up to 6 hours as a Bluetooth speaker. With this extended battery life, it’s convenient to take it on the go without having to worry about constant recharging.
Although it may have a higher price point compared to other portable projectors, I consider it a worthwhile investment. Its outstanding features and performance, including the ability to project onto the ceiling, make it stand out from the competition. Additionally, the device’s ability to function as a power source for other devices adds another layer of convenience, making it a valuable tool for those frequently on the go.
Overall, I highly recommend this projector to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line portable projector that values portability, convenience, and versatility. It’s a high-quality and reliable device that won’t disappoint.
