After spending quite a few hours over 3 days assembling, I’m reasonably happy with this shed.
The assembly instructions though do need to be improved significantly. While every step is set out, they are not well thought through and often require the removal of screws used in previous steps to complete later steps. The diagrams in the instructions are not of a quality where the orientation of some components is very clear. But once you get use to the design of the structure, it becomes easier to spot what’s required.
The materials themselves are of a reasonable quality, but the QA department need to wake up as many parts have holes still filled in (the punch failed to go all the way through), or in one case the hole was punched on the wrong end of the component, requiring me to drill a hole in the correct place.
Once the shed is fully assembled, be very careful when trying to move it – the base frame is not very strong and will buckle very easily.
Overall I’m happy with the purchase, and now could probably assemble another in less than half the time now I know the techniques that are used.
Oh, and I agree with another reviewer; the included screwdriver is pointless!!! Go get a really good screwdriver – you’ll need it as there are hundreds of screws!
It’s a lovely shed good instructions, but hard to put together, even with 2 to 3 people helping. It couldn’t be put together by one person! It took my friends who do DIY a day and a half to complete it! Prompt, quick service, good value, plenty of screws, but the screwdriver that comes with it is so small that it couldn’t really be used!
This is a great product of excellent quality, but you will have to assemble it from scratch.
I managed to build it on my own but I’d recommend getting someone to help you. As you are working with sheets of metal there are protective gloves provided, but these reduce your dexterity in handling the components so I ditched them pretty quickly and ended up with a few small skin slices on my fingers. There are a lot of screws to fit during the assembly process.
The instructions are a little vague in parts so you really need to skip a page forward at times to see the next stage in assembly to gleam some detail relevant to the stage you’re at. I had to go back a step twice to change the way I’d done something as the detail was lacking in the instructions, but it was just small things.
The finished product is really nice and I’m very pleased with it. It looks great and is very good quality so I expect it will last for many years.
