Nice thick, hard wearing fabric. Fits pretty well and covers all of the back seat as described. Quite easy to fit. Dog seems to like it, the car likes it more as no more fur! Yay.
This is an excellent dog seat cover – fits well and easy to install. Stays in place, really great coverage for my car for my 2 large dogs who are nearly always wet and or muddy. I love the extra addition of the velcro attachment for the seat belt so the sides of the back don’t flop over. Also the mesh “skirt” tucks under your seat much like a fitted sheet on the bed. Really smart looking – just excellent quality for a great price!
As far as quality and coverage goes this meets my need. My biggest complaint was the odor. When we first took it out of the box, my husband and I started looking around the house to see if the dog had an accident. That’s how bad it smelled. So we let it air out and then installed in the car. It took about a week either for the smell to go away or we just got used to it.
I would also recommend for those of us with kids that want to protect our seats 🙂
We continue to use for our backseat where Our Wheaten terrier frequents. When installed on seat tightly, it fits well. We tend to keep a little loose so it is easier to take off for cleaning (I put in washing machine) or removing for the occasional backseat passenger. It isn’t easily removed if put on correctly or maybe we just don’t have as much patience. This is our 3rd purchase.
Tough fabric, not nice for ppl to sit on but it will stand up to dog nails. Has quality features – durable stitching around the headrest straps!, seat belt stays at the top and a snapped slot for the belt at the bottom. 2 things I wish were different, esp because of the price: no clasps on the headrest bands…hassle to get up over the headrest. “Skirt” doesn’t go over my Subaru Forrester back seat edges. Sits kind of crunched up. But there IS a long panel left to right that protects the front of the back seat. *win*
I can’t decide yet if I should return it. The snapped belt closure and high belt stay are GREAT features.
I just installed this in my Toyota Camry.
And my first impression is I LIKE IT!
I’m hauling cardboard boxes for work, not a dog. The material is sturdy, almost canvas like.
The design allows the rear shoulder belts to help keep it in place.
My only concern is how it attaches to the lower front of the seat. Time will tell.
I’d recommend it.
