This add-on to your power washer really works. I needed to clean up some 100 year old brickwork that was going to become a feature wall in my new Kitchen. i hooked the device up to my Karcher and bought a couple of bags of Kiln Dryed Sand and bingo! Amazingly simple and amazing results. Only downside is that KDS is very expensive and you go thought it quickly. But, the device is awesome
Absolutely works a treat. Use kiln dried paving sand keep the pipe up over the lance to stop any water clogging the sand and a good pressure washer and it brings alloy motorcycle parts up like new .
I bought this to jet wash the underside of my cars. I bought a separate adapter to fit my Stihl pressure washer. Works very well, fan of jets are just right to clean and the cleaner is low enough to get under my Suzuki Swift and Toyota AYGO. I recommend this cleane
I have a cast iron griddle that was mistakenly left exposed all winter – need to get it clean again and thought I would try this kit to adapt my Karcher and hopefully make light work of the rust so I can get the griddle cleaned, seasoned and ready for BBQ season.
Easy to assemble and get ready to use but make sure you have an adapter if you plan on using this with a Karcher as it is a simple 1/4 inch push and click connector and not the standard Karcher bayonet (push, turn and click fitting) – should have paid more attention to the listing !!
You connect one end of the hose to the supplied lance and one end to the aggregate feeder tube – the hose seems fairly neat on the connections but they also supply 4 jubilee type clips to secure the hose in place. The plastic handles on the clips seem like they could snap if you apply too much pressure but I took it easy and was able to secure the hose tightly enough without incident.
Also comes with 2 spare sets of ceramic nozzles which sit in the brass nozzle housing at the point of the lance and, I assume, stop your aggregate destroying the brass housing over time. Pair of safety goggles included as well and whilst I am not sure they will win any major safety awards they seem robust enough and will offer some protection against any random particles.
Seems okay for the money so far and will update this review once I have my adaptor and can post some before and after griddle photos.
You’ll also need some aggregate to use – listing mentions silica sand however a little research uncovers a lot of content that advises that silica sand should not be used, even for wet blasting, due to health concerns so I opted for some kiln dried sand and will see how that goes.
