I bought this as I needed to plug an electric 2kw stove into an extension since my stove is nowhere near a socket and wanted the added peace of mind. This extension seems sturdy and well made, first week of using it and all is fine, no issues. The cable is quite thick but not extremely as some other heavy duty cables which means I can easily hide it alongside a wall and it does not look ugly. The sockets are well made it seems and good quality – and I like the white colour as it blends in with my interior.

All in all, I’m happy with this and can recommend to all.

A seemingly well built item out of reasonable materials, which is rarely seen in today’s electronic cables. The protection worked perfectly. Ended up returning as I changed how I was doing things and it wasn’t needed, but if you have a need for it, I think this is more than built for the job.

Review of SAFEMORE RCD Socket GFCI Surge Protected Extension Lead

The unit is solid and has a good thick mains cable. The unit is rated at 16 amps but is limited to 13 amps by the UK fused plug. The RCD protector and protrudes beyond the base and feels a little vulnerable and could be damaged if handled roughly. The extension lead takes standard UK plugs and must be not be exposed to wet conditions as the protection trip will operate.

When using tools the risk of shock is greater and it is particularly important to use an additional earth leakage trip and not rely on the house trip even if one is fitted. This extension ensures you always have protected sockets.

The power strip features a built-in GFCI that provides an extra layer of safety against electrical shock. In the event of a ground fault or short circuit, the GFCI will trip within 0.1 seconds, cutting off power to prevent serious injuries. This feature is particularly important when working with power tools or outdoor equipment. The power strip boasts four AC slots, allowing me to power multiple devices simultaneously. It is constructed with high-quality materials, including a 100% copper core and a 9.85ft/3m extension cord with a 1.5mm copper wire. This ensures long-lasting performance and durability, even underheavyuse.
